Scoot began flying between Singapore Changi Airport (SIN) and Guiyang Longdongbao International Airport (KWE) on October 26, 2026. The nonstop route operates three times weekly with an Airbus A320neo.

The first TR144 service reached Guiyang on launch day. That matters because the route is no longer just an announced plan. Travelers can now book a direct flight, but they should still check the live status and issued itinerary before leaving for the airport.

The practical answer: search for TR144 from Singapore and TR145 from Guiyang. Both airports use UTC+8, so the published times can be compared directly. Scoot uses Terminal 1 at Changi and the current timetable places its Guiyang service at Terminal 3.

The current SIN-KWE schedule

Scoot announced three weekly services from October 26. Its live route page is selling Singapore-Guiyang itineraries, while current schedule data identifies these flights:

FlightDirectionDepartureArrivalPublished daysAircraft
TR144Singapore to Guiyang5:50 PM10:15 PMMonday, Wednesday and FridayAirbus A320neo
TR145Guiyang to Singapore11:15 PM4:20 AM next dayMonday, Wednesday and FridayAirbus A320neo

Times are local, and Singapore and Guiyang are in the same time zone. The outbound is scheduled for 4 hours 25 minutes. The return is scheduled for 5 hours 5 minutes and arrives the following calendar day.

Launch-day tracking shows TR144 left Singapore at 6:07 PM and landed in Guiyang at 10:12 PM, three minutes before its scheduled arrival. Flight tracking is supporting evidence, not a substitute for Scoot's own status page or the airport screens on the day.

Some early schedule reports used different flight numbers. The live route schedule now shows TR144 and TR145, so use the number on the issued booking rather than an older launch report. Times, days and aircraft can also change for operational reasons.

Check in at Changi Terminal 1

Scoot's Singapore-Guiyang page places departure at Changi Terminal 1. The airline currently says its check-in counters for this route open three hours before departure and close 60 minutes before departure. For the 5:50 PM flight, that makes the published counter window 2:50 PM to 4:50 PM.

Eligible passengers can normally check in online from 48 hours until 1.5 hours before departure. Eligibility depends on the itinerary and travel-document checks, so a passenger who cannot obtain a boarding pass online should use the counter rather than treating the website as proof that the flight is unavailable.

Changi's self-service kiosks and bag-drop facilities support Scoot in Terminal 1, but availability can depend on the booking and documents. Keep a passport and any required entry documents ready. The boarding gate closes before departure, so clearing the counter deadline is not a reason to arrive at the gate late.

Baggage depends on the Scoot fare

Every Scoot Economy booking includes up to 10 kilograms of cabin baggage across two pieces. The larger piece may be up to 54 by 38 by 23 centimeters, and the smaller personal item up to 40 by 30 by 10 centimeters. ScootPlus allows a combined 15 kilograms in the cabin under the current rules.

Checked baggage is fare-specific. Economy Basic does not include it. Value and Flex currently include 20 kilograms, while ScootPlus includes 30 kilograms. Optional checked allowance can be added up to the limit Scoot offers for the booking.

Each checked piece must remain within the airline's per-piece weight and size rules. Buying 20 kilograms does not make an oversized case compliant. Read the allowance in Manage My Booking before packing, because a route guide cannot see the fare family, add-ons or partner-ticket conditions attached to an individual reservation.

Separate tickets need extra connection time

A Singapore Airlines flight and a Scoot flight can appear connected because both belong to the SIA Group. That does not mean two separately purchased bookings carry the same protection as one through ticket.

For separate tickets, confirm at the first airport whether the bag can be tagged to KWE and whether all boarding passes can be issued. If it cannot, the traveler may need to enter Singapore, collect the bag, move to Terminal 1 and check in before Scoot's cutoff. A delay on the first ticket may not protect the second booking.

Do not build a self-transfer around the shortest successful story found in a forum. Allow for immigration, baggage delivery, terminal movement and the airline's fixed check-in deadline. The safer choice is one protected itinerary when it is available.

Check China entry rules for the passport and itinerary

A Scoot ticket does not itself provide permission to enter China. Visa-free entry, a visa or visa-free transit may apply depending on nationality, passport, trip purpose and onward itinerary.

China's National Immigration Administration lists Guiyang Longdongbao as an eligible port for the 240-hour visa-free transit policy. That policy is for eligible nationalities traveling onward to a third country or region with a confirmed ticket. A simple Singapore-Guiyang-Singapore return is not a third-country transit itinerary.

Check the current official rule for the passport being used, including passport-validity and arrival-card requirements. If the booking relies on transit status, keep the confirmed onward itinerary available for inspection. Airline staff and border officers, not an article or a past travel experience, determine whether the documents meet the rule.

From Guiyang airport to the city

The current timetable places Scoot at Terminal 3 in Guiyang. Longdongbao airport is east of central Guiyang, and Metro Line 2 links the airport with the city. Taxis and airport coaches are alternatives when the metro is closed or the accommodation is not near a useful station.

TR144's scheduled 10:15 PM arrival leaves little margin for a slow immigration or baggage process before late-evening transport changes. Check the final metro and coach times for the arrival date, and keep the hotel name and address in Chinese for a taxi driver. A late landing may make a prearranged transfer the simpler option.

For the return, TR145 leaves at 11:15 PM. Work backward from Scoot's check-in cutoff and add travel time to Terminal 3 rather than treating the airport's distance from central Guiyang as the whole journey.

Mobile data in Singapore and Guiyang

An OpenSim Asia 12-area eSIM currently includes both Singapore and mainland China, so one regional plan can match a trip that needs data at both ends. A China eSIM suits a traveler who needs service only after landing, while a Singapore eSIM covers a Singapore stay or stopover.

Open each product page before checkout and compare the current allowance, validity, speed conditions, hotspot support and top-up eligibility. Daily plans can reduce speed after the listed high-speed allowance until the daily refresh. Fixed-data plans work differently.

An eSIM provides mobile data on supported ground networks. It does not provide a local phone number, change an app's service area or guarantee that a particular app will work in mainland China. Download boarding passes, the hotel address and essential directions before departure, and confirm phone compatibility before buying.

Ten questions about Scoot's Singapore-Guiyang flights

Are Scoot flights from Singapore to Guiyang operating now?

Yes. Scoot set October 26, 2026 as the start date, and TR144 landed in Guiyang that evening. Check Scoot's live flight status for the specific travel date.

What are the Scoot flight numbers between Singapore and Guiyang?

The current schedule uses TR144 from Singapore to Guiyang and TR145 from Guiyang to Singapore. Use the number on the issued booking if an older schedule shows something different.

Which days does Scoot fly to Guiyang?

The published pattern is Monday, Wednesday and Friday in both directions. Operational changes remain possible, so the booking calendar controls for the selected date.

Does TR144 stop between Singapore and Guiyang?

No. The timetable lists a nonstop SIN-KWE service. The scheduled flying time is 4 hours 25 minutes toward Guiyang and 5 hours 5 minutes toward Singapore.

Which terminals does Scoot use?

Scoot departs from Changi Terminal 1. The current Guiyang schedule uses Terminal 3. Recheck the terminal and gate on the travel day.

How early should I arrive at Changi?

Scoot says the route's counter opens three hours before departure and closes 60 minutes before. Arriving near the opening time leaves room for bag drop, document checks, security and the walk to the gate.

Does a Scoot ticket include checked baggage?

Not every fare does. Economy Basic has no included checked bag, Value and Flex currently include 20 kilograms, and ScootPlus includes 30 kilograms. The issued booking is the final reference.

Can I take two cabin bags on Scoot?

Economy passengers may take up to two pieces with a combined limit of 10 kilograms, subject to Scoot's size rules. ScootPlus raises the combined cabin limit to 15 kilograms.

Will a bag transfer from a separate Singapore Airlines ticket?

Do not assume it will. Ask the first airline whether the bag can be tagged through and whether all boarding passes can be issued. Plan for collection, immigration and recheck if the tickets are separate.

Do I need a visa for Guiyang?

It depends on nationality and itinerary. Guiyang is covered by China's 240-hour transit policy for eligible travelers going to a third country or region, but a return to the place of origin is not that transit pattern. Check the current official rule for the passport.

Singapore-Guiyang departure checklist

  • Search TR144 or TR145 for the exact date.
  • Confirm the Monday-Wednesday-Friday pattern in the booking.
  • Recheck the departure terminal, gate and live flight status.
  • Read the fare's checked-bag inclusion before packing.
  • Weigh the two cabin pieces together.
  • Complete online check-in if the itinerary is eligible.
  • Bring the entry documents required for the passport and trip.
  • Leave extra time for any separate-ticket self-transfer.
  • Save the hotel name, address and route in Chinese.
  • Check late-evening transport from Guiyang Terminal 3.

Evidence behind this SIN-KWE guide

Scoot's August 20 announcement establishes the October 26 start, three-weekly frequency and A320neo plan. Its live route, check-in, fares and baggage pages support the current passenger guidance. Launch-day flight tracking independently confirms that the first TR144 reached Guiyang.

China's National Immigration Administration supports the entry and transit distinctions. Current airport and schedule sources support the terminal, flight-number and ground-transport details. Public discussions were used to identify recurring questions about bags, self-transfers, check-in, mobile data and entry preparation, not to establish airline or immigration policy.

We will review this guide if Scoot changes the schedule, flight numbers, frequency, aircraft, terminal, baggage or check-in rules, or if Chinese authorities change the entry or transit requirements at Guiyang.
