Battersea Park fireworks 2026: times, tickets, bags and travel

Battersea Park Fireworks takes place on November 7 and 8, 2026. Book the evening you want in advance, and plan to enter before the gate cutoff rather than arriving for the fireworks start. The two nights have different programmes, and Sunday's earlier schedule may suit families who want an earlier return.
The official event site presents music and entertainment around the displays. Choose by the whole evening, including how long you want to stay outside and how you will get home. The photograph shows November 2005, not the 2026 display or site arrangement.
What time do the gates close and fireworks start?
The organizer's Saturday programme and Sunday programme distinguish admission from the display:
| Evening | Gates open | Last entry | Estimated fireworks start | Event ends |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Saturday, November 7 | 18:00 | 20:00 | 20:30 | 23:00 |
| Sunday, November 8 | 16:30 | 18:30 | 19:00 | 21:30 |
Do not use the estimated display time as your arrival target. You need to reach an entrance, join any queue and clear the checks before admission closes. Leave additional time if travelling with children or arranging accessible entry.
Saturday includes Rudimental DJ at 19:30, Conjunto Sabroso and a post-display Disco Ceilidh. Sunday lists Lords of Lightning at 17:45, the Fearlessly Taylor tribute and a Pop Anthems Afterparty with DJ Josh Lovatt. The tribute is not an appearance by Taylor Swift.
An earlier Sunday finish can make the return more manageable, but it does not establish that the fireworks are quiet or suitable for every child. If noise is a concern, ask the organizer about the display and your options before purchasing. Do not promise a nervous child a silent show.
Tickets, children and the price shown at checkout
The event information page says to buy in advance through Kaboodle; there are no gate sales, resale service or waiting list. Tickets are non-transferable. Reach the booking links through the official Kaboodle event listing rather than an unsolicited message offering spare tickets.
The organizer lists £16.70 general admission and £18.10 final release for ages 16+, £11.50 youth tickets for ages 5-15, and free tickets for under-fives. Babies also need a ticket. Under-18s require an accompanying adult, with at most four per adult.
These are published ticket categories, not a claim that a particular price tier is still available. Check your chosen date, quantities and final total before paying. Budget for food and rides separately, and check any extra's terms rather than assuming it is included in admission.
For a group, nominate one person to check that everyone has the correct dated booking, including free child places. A friend being unable to attend does not override the transfer restriction. Ask the official seller about your booking instead of relying on reports that names were not checked in a previous year.
If you are comparing a different London event, use our separate Alexandra Palace fireworks guide. Its tickets and arrangements do not apply at Battersea.
Bag size, water bottles and things to leave behind
The entry terms limit bags to 35cm × 40cm × 20cm. That applies to the bag itself: folding a larger one does not qualify. There are no on-site lockers or cloakrooms.
Standard pushchairs are permitted, but children's wagons are not. Outside food and drink are prohibited; empty water bottles are allowed, with refill points on site. Leave sparklers, chairs, large umbrellas and professional camera equipment behind. Check the complete list before packing.
This is a poor event to visit directly from a station with a suitcase. Leave luggage somewhere arranged before travelling to the park, and carry only what you need for the evening. For dietary or medical needs affected by the entry rules, contact the organizer beforehand rather than assuming an exemption.
Tickets can be printed or displayed on a smartphone. Save the accepted version before leaving Wi-Fi and carry a charged power bank. There is no re-admission after leaving, so collect your group and belongings before you go through the controls.
Getting there and the Albert Bridge restrictions
The organizer identifies Battersea Power Station on the Northern line as a nearby Underground option. General parking is unavailable in the park. Choose a public-transport route to your intended entrance and check the walk as well as the train connection.
Its current information page advertises these temporary Albert Bridge pedestrian and cycle closures, subject to change:
| Date | Advertised closure |
|---|---|
| November 7 | 19:30-21:50 |
| November 8 | 18:00-20:20 |
The notice says stewards will redirect people towards Battersea Bridge. Check the updated event guidance before travelling rather than treating Albert Bridge as a viewing spot or a guaranteed shortcut after the fireworks.
Separately, Kensington and Chelsea's repair update confirms that Albert Bridge remains closed to motor traffic, with reopening planned for 2027 and no definitive date. Do not plan a taxi crossing on the basis that pedestrians can normally use it.
TfL Go provides live route and station information, including step-free journey planning and lift disruptions. Check the return journey before heading into the event. Allow a buffer after the display for walking out, finding your group and reaching a station; avoid a last-train plan that depends on an immediate departure.
Accessible viewing and companion tickets need separate arrangements
The event's accessibility page provides an application for a complimentary Essential Companion ticket after an eligible visitor buys general admission. It also requires advance arrangements for the accessible viewing platform. Sun Gate is the closest entrance to that platform, with hard-standing access available from the listed gates.
The platform is not a seated event: limited seats are first come, first served and cannot be reserved. Accessible toilets are nearby. Blue Badge spaces on Prince of Wales Drive are limited and not bookable in advance.
Contact the team about your whole route, not just admission. Explain whether you need to avoid grass, cannot stand for long or need a companion. A general ticket alone should not be treated as a platform reservation or guaranteed parking space.
Is it worth a ticket, and can you watch outside?
The paid event makes most sense if you want the soundtrack, on-site entertainment and time in the park. If you only want a brief glimpse of fireworks, weigh the ticket, journey, waiting time and your group's tolerance for a cold evening before committing.
We have not verified an unobstructed public viewing position outside the event. Old recommendations for a riverbank or bridge do not establish current access, sightlines or crowd restrictions. Do not build a child's evening around an unconfirmed viewpoint or block a pedestrian route to wait for the display.
Wear footwear and layers suitable for standing outdoors, and check the forecast close to the date. A forecast of rain is not itself an event cancellation. Follow the organizer's announcements and consult the booking terms for any change; do not assume travel or hotel costs would be refunded.
For a longer family visit, the United Kingdom with kids guide can help you plan daytime activities without making the fireworks the only outing that matters.
Keep your tickets and return route available
Agree a meeting point before the display, save your accommodation address and keep the ticket accessible without searching a crowded inbox. The event's food, drink and merchandise outlets are cashless, according to the organizer; bring a working payment method rather than relying on cash.
Visitors who need a separate mobile allowance can compare the OpenSim United Kingdom plans. On October 22, the catalog listed 1GB for 7 days at US$1.14 and 3GB for 15 days at US$3.00, both eligible for top-up. These provide allowance choices for checking TfL and messaging your group during a wider London stay, without needing to find Wi-Fi each time you change plans. Recheck the selected plan before purchasing.
Your existing roaming allowance may already be sufficient. OpenSim does not supply fireworks admission or guarantee service in a crowd. Check phone compatibility, installation timing and the travel data calculator for the rest of the trip.

OpenSim's editorial team checked the linked event, ticketing, council and TfL information on October 22, 2026. Recheck the timetable, gate rules, bridge restrictions and access booking before November 7. This guide will be updated for material changes to those arrangements.
