Eastar Jet Incheon-Xiamen flights: schedule and baggage
Eastar Jet's Incheon-Xiamen flights are now operating four times a week. The airline launched the route on October 28, 2026, with departures on Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday.
The filed timetable uses ZE891 from Incheon and ZE892 from Xiamen. Both flights run during the day, but China is one hour behind South Korea. Read each time in the local time zone before arranging an airport transfer or a separate connection.

The practical answer: Eastar Jet has launched ICN-XMN on four weekly days. The current filing shows ZE891 leaving Incheon at 09:30 and ZE892 returning from Xiamen at 12:55. Check the issued itinerary because airline schedules and airport counters can change after launch.
Eastar Jet's Incheon-Xiamen schedule
AeroRoutes' review of the winter filing gives the following schedule. The day code excludes Monday, Tuesday and Friday.
| Flight | Route | Operating days | Departure | Arrival |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| ZE891 | Incheon (ICN) to Xiamen (XMN) | Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday | 09:30 | 12:05 |
| ZE892 | Xiamen (XMN) to Incheon (ICN) | Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday | 12:55 | 17:10 |
All times are local. Xiamen follows China Standard Time, one hour behind Korea Standard Time. ZE891 therefore has a filed block time of three hours and 35 minutes, while ZE892 has a filed block time of three hours and 15 minutes after the clock difference is accounted for.
The filing lists a Boeing 737-800. An aircraft type can still change for operational reasons, so use the seat map and aircraft shown in the live booking rather than treating the filing as a guarantee.
The Incheon launch replaced an earlier Xiamen plan
Herald Business reported the October 28 launch after Eastar Jet held an event at Incheon for the first outbound flight. The airline's announcement confirms the four weekly operating days.
That matters because an earlier plan referred to a Busan-Xiamen route. The later winter filing moved the service to Incheon before launch. Travelers should not use the Incheon article as proof that a Busan flight is operating, and they should search the exact airport codes before paying.
The new service also does not replace every existing nonstop between the two cities. It adds another schedule and a low-cost option. Compare the same travel dates, fare inclusions and change rules instead of comparing headline prices from different weeks.
Use Terminal 1 and leave room for document checks
Eastar Jet's current airport guide places its Incheon international check-in in Terminal 1. Its staffed counter page lists the third-floor F area, while the airline and Incheon Airport list self bag drop at the Terminal 1 G counter. Counter assignments can move, so follow the terminal screens and the reservation on the travel date.
Eastar Jet's international check-in guidance currently opens airport processing two hours and 30 minutes before departure and closes it one hour before departure. Boarding is shown from 30 minutes until 15 minutes before departure. These are cutoffs, not recommended arrival targets. Arrive earlier when a passport or visa needs checking, baggage needs payment, or the airport is busy.
Incheon Airport says Eastar Jet's self bag drop operates from 04:30 to 19:00 and also closes one hour before departure. It is limited to passengers who already hold a boarding pass and are checking ordinary baggage within the free allowance. Passengers with an infant, a connection, excess or special baggage, a pet, a wheelchair or another need for staff help must use the staffed process.
Online check-in may not issue every passenger a boarding pass
Eastar Jet generally opens international online check-in 24 hours before departure and closes it 90 minutes before departure. Route, nationality and travel-document checks can make a passenger ineligible.
If the website accepts passport details but does not issue a boarding pass, go to the airport counter. Do not keep retrying until the one-hour airport cutoff is close. A seat-selection receipt is not a boarding pass, and an online check-in error does not extend the deadline.
Travelers who booked through an agency should keep both the agency reference and the airline reservation number. If the reservation cannot be retrieved on Eastar Jet's site, contact the seller or airline before travel rather than discovering the mismatch at the airport.
Eastar Jet's cabin bag is one piece up to 10kg
Eastar Jet's current baggage page allows one cabin bag up to 10kg. Its maximum dimensions are 55 x 40 x 20cm, with a total of 115cm. The page also permits small personal items such as a handbag, camera or compact electronic device, but everything still needs to fit safely in the cabin.
A bag that exceeds the limit can be checked and charged at the gate. Measure wheels and handles, and weigh the bag before leaving for the airport. A report that another passenger's bag was not weighed is not a waiver of the published rule.
Checked baggage depends on the purchased fare. Eastar Jet's current international terms say regular and discount fares include 15kg, while an event fare may include no checked allowance. The airline's advance-baggage page says an eligible purchase, change or cancellation can be made until 24 hours before departure. The allowance printed on the ticket is the record that matters for this route.
Protect a separate connection at Incheon or Xiamen
A separate ticket is a self-transfer unless the airlines explicitly confirm otherwise. That can require immigration, baggage collection, another check-in and security screening. Eastar Jet's self bag-drop rules exclude connecting passengers, which is another reason not to plan a tight landside transfer around the automated counter.
At Incheon, confirm the terminal of both flights. Eastar Jet uses Terminal 1, but another carrier may use Terminal 2. The airport railway between terminals is not a substitute for a realistic immigration, baggage and check-in buffer.
At Xiamen, ask the first airline where the bag is tagged and whether the next boarding pass has been issued. A same-airline through itinerary can work differently from two separate reservations. Build the trip around the less protected case unless the airlines confirm a through-check.
Check China entry eligibility before relying on transit rules
The new flight does not change China's entry rules. Visa-free entry, a visa and visa-free transit are different permissions. Check the rule for the passport, purpose, route and length of stay before buying a nonrefundable ticket.
China's current 240-hour visa-free transit policy includes Xiamen Gaoqi as an eligible port, but only qualifying nationalities and itineraries can use it. The traveler needs a confirmed onward journey to a third country or region. A South Korea-Xiamen-South Korea return is not a third-country transit itinerary.
Foreign travelers can submit China's arrival information online through the National Immigration Administration. The official arrival-card warning says the service is free. It also says port devices and paper cards remain available for people who cannot complete it in advance. Avoid lookalike sites that charge a fee.
Mobile data for South Korea and Xiamen
Travelers staying on one side can compare a South Korea OpenSim eSIM or China OpenSim eSIM. The China mainland, Japan and South Korea eSIM is the route-wide option whose current coverage list includes both South Korea and mainland China. It also includes Japan, so compare its price with the two country pages rather than assuming a wider plan is automatically better.
The live catalog showed five South Korea packages and six China packages when checked on October 28. Entry prices started at USD1.40 for South Korea and USD2.02 for China. Prices, networks, data allowances, speed, hotspot support, validity and top-up eligibility are package-specific and can change, so read the selected card before checkout.
An eSIM supplies mobile data on the ground. It does not provide inflight Wi-Fi, change an app's service area or replace an airline message about a schedule change. Install on reliable Wi-Fi, then follow the package's activation instructions so validity does not start too early. Check whether the phone supports eSIM and when to install an eSIM before travel before departure.
Ten questions about Eastar Jet Incheon-Xiamen flights
Is Eastar Jet already flying between Incheon and Xiamen?
Yes. Eastar Jet announced the launch on October 28, 2026, and held an event for the first outbound flight at Incheon. Future dates should still be checked in the live booking system.
Which days does Eastar Jet fly ICN-XMN?
The current schedule is Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday. Monday, Tuesday and Friday are not included in the filed four-weekly pattern.
What are the ZE891 and ZE892 flight times?
ZE891 is filed to leave Incheon at 09:30 and reach Xiamen at 12:05. ZE892 leaves Xiamen at 12:55 and reaches Incheon at 17:10. All four times are local.
Why is the return flight longer on the clock?
South Korea is one hour ahead of mainland China. The eastbound return adds that hour to the displayed arrival time, even though its filed block time is slightly shorter than the outbound.
Where does Eastar Jet check in at Incheon?
Eastar Jet is currently listed in Terminal 1. Its staffed international counter page points to the F area, while self bag drop is at G. Check the terminal and counter again on the travel date.
How early should I arrive at Incheon Airport?
Plan to arrive well before the one-hour check-in cutoff. Eastar Jet opens international airport processing two hours and 30 minutes before departure, but document checks, baggage payment and security can take time.
Can I check in online for a China flight?
Eastar Jet generally offers international online check-in from 24 hours to 90 minutes before departure, but document, nationality or route restrictions may block it. Use the airport counter if no boarding pass is issued.
What is Eastar Jet's cabin-bag limit on this route?
The current allowance is one cabin bag up to 10kg and 55 x 40 x 20cm. Small personal items are listed separately, but an oversized or overweight bag can be checked and charged.
Is checked baggage included with an Eastar Jet ticket?
It depends on the fare. Current international regular and discount fares include 15kg, while an event fare may include none. Save the allowance shown on the final ticket rather than assuming every fare has a suitcase.
Can I use China's 240-hour transit policy for a return trip to Korea?
Not for a Korea-Xiamen-Korea itinerary. The policy requires an eligible traveler to continue to a third country or region. Passport nationality, confirmed onward travel and the permitted stay area also matter.
