Wizz Air Bratislava flights to three cities start October 26

Wizz Air is scheduled to start three direct routes from Bratislava on three consecutive days: Hurghada on October 26, Agadir on October 27 and Baku on October 28, 2026. Each route is listed twice weekly in Bratislava Airport's current timetable.

The dates matter because the airport's July announcement grouped the launches around October 25 and listed Baku for that day. The current destination pages are more specific. Anyone booked on one of these flights should use the date and time in the live Wizz Air itinerary, not the older announcement.

The practical answer: Wizz Air's Bratislava launches are currently scheduled for October 26 to Hurghada, October 27 to Agadir and October 28 to Baku. Confirm the exact flight in the Wizz Air app, add any bag before the airport, and arrange arrival transport for the correct destination airport.

The current Bratislava timetable has three different start dates

Bratislava Airport's route announcement says all three services operate twice a week. Its current destination pages now give the date-specific schedule below.

Route from BratislavaFirst scheduled departureRegular daysFlight numberFirst published local time
Hurghada, HRGMonday, October 26Monday and FridayW6 261716:30 to 21:30
Agadir, AGATuesday, October 27Tuesday and SaturdayW6 260906:30 to 10:15
Baku, GYDWednesday, October 28Wednesday and SaturdayW6 261314:30 to 21:20

The times are local and can change by date. The Hurghada page, Agadir page and Baku page also show later timetable variations. Search the actual travel date before arranging a transfer.

These are scheduled launches, not completed flights. At publication time, none of the three first departures had operated. That distinction is important if a booking, hotel or separate connection depends on the route opening as planned.

Choose the route for the trip, not just the headline fare

Hurghada is the resort route. Bratislava Airport lists hotel transfers and taxis as the practical choices from HRG. Confirm whether a package includes the transfer or whether an independent booking leaves it to you.

Agadir Al Massira Airport is about 25 km from central Agadir. The airport lists a shuttle and taxis. Check the current stop, payment method and final service before an early or late arrival, especially if the accommodation is outside central Agadir.

Baku's Heydar Aliyev International Airport is linked to the city by Aero Express. The airport guide says the service runs around the clock and takes roughly 30 minutes, but the trip needs a Baku Card. A taxi may be simpler for a late arrival or a group with luggage.

Check-in works differently at Agadir

Wizz Air says free online check-in normally opens 30 days before departure when a seat has been purchased, or 24 hours before departure without a purchased seat. It closes three hours before the scheduled departure. Standard airport check-in and bag drop usually open two hours before departure and close 40 minutes before it, although airport-specific exceptions apply.

Agadir is one of those exceptions. Wizz Air's current check-in guide says online check-in is unavailable at Agadir Al Massira and airport check-in is free there. That affects the return journey from Morocco, not the outbound check-in at Bratislava.

For any route, a message that says a document check is required is not the same as a usable boarding pass. Follow the instruction, bring the travel document used for check-in and leave enough time for the desk. Wizz Air tells passengers to be at the gate no later than 30 minutes before departure.

The cheapest fare does not settle the bag question

Wizz Air separates the free small cabin bag, an optional trolley bag and checked baggage. Size and weight limits depend on what was purchased. The safest source is the allowance displayed in the booking, not another passenger's experience or an old screenshot.

Measure bags before leaving home and add any needed allowance online. Airport charges can be higher. If checking a bag, keep its receipt and baggage tag until the trip is complete. Medicines, documents, keys and power banks belong in suitable cabin baggage.

These direct services do not require a connection. A traveler positioning into Bratislava on a separate ticket still carries the risk of a missed onward flight. Wizz Air does not turn two independent bookings into a protected connection, so leave time to enter the country when required, collect any checked bag and complete the next check-in.

Prepare documents for the destination

Egypt, Morocco and Azerbaijan have different entry rules, and the answer can depend on nationality, trip purpose and length of stay. Check the relevant government or embassy guidance before travel. A route going on sale does not confirm that a passenger meets the destination's passport or visa rules.

Use the same document details in the booking and check-in. If the app produces an invalid card or asks for verification, follow the desk instruction rather than assuming check-in is complete. Save the booking confirmation, travel documents and accommodation address somewhere available offline.

Mobile data in Egypt, Morocco and Azerbaijan

OpenSim's live catalog included plans for Egypt, Morocco and Azerbaijan when this guide was checked. Compare the plan for the country you are visiting, then read the exact allowance, validity, hotspot support and top-up eligibility before paying.

Install the eSIM over reliable Wi-Fi when the chosen package instructions permit it. Ground-based mobile data can help retrieve a Wizz Air update, find the airport transfer or contact accommodation. It does not provide inflight Wi-Fi, satisfy entry rules or protect a separate ticket.

Ten questions about the new Wizz Air Bratislava routes

When does Wizz Air start Bratislava to Hurghada flights?

The first W6 2617 departure is scheduled for Monday, October 26, 2026. Bratislava Airport lists the regular service on Mondays and Fridays. Check the live booking because this first flight had not operated when the guide was published.

When does Wizz Air start Bratislava to Agadir flights?

The first W6 2609 departure is scheduled for Tuesday, October 27. The current airport timetable lists Tuesday and Saturday flights, with the first departure at 06:30 local time.

When does Wizz Air start Bratislava to Baku flights?

The current airport timetable starts W6 2613 on Wednesday, October 28, not October 25. The winter pattern is Wednesday and Saturday, and published times change later in the season.

Why does the older announcement show a different Baku date?

The July announcement used October 25 for Baku. Bratislava Airport's newer destination timetable gives October 28 and lists no October 25 service. Use the live Wizz Air booking and current airport timetable for an individual trip.

Is airport check-in free for the Agadir return flight?

Wizz Air currently lists Agadir among airports where online check-in is unavailable and airport check-in is free. Recheck that rule before the return because airport support can change.

Is a checked bag included with every Wizz Air ticket?

No. The free allowance is a small cabin bag. A trolley bag or checked bag depends on the fare bundle and extras purchased. The booking's baggage line controls.

How early should I reach Bratislava Airport?

Plan around the airport and Wizz Air instructions, not the final cutoff. Wizz Air's standard bag-drop deadline is 40 minutes before departure, while boarding requires passengers at the gate no later than 30 minutes before departure. Queues and document checks need extra time.

Are separate tickets through Bratislava protected?

Not automatically. If the first flight is late, the next airline may treat a missed independently booked flight as a no-show. Allow time for immigration when required, baggage collection, a new check-in and security.

How do I reach the city after arriving?

Hurghada travelers commonly use a hotel transfer or taxi. Agadir Airport lists a shuttle and taxis. Baku Airport has the Aero Express as well as taxis. Confirm the latest operating hours and payment method for the arrival date.

Which OpenSim plan fits a Hurghada, Agadir or Baku trip?

Choose the matching Egypt, Morocco or Azerbaijan plan for the destination. Check the selected package's coverage, allowance, speed, validity, hotspot support and whether it is eligible for top-up.

Before leaving for Bratislava Airport

  • Open the booking and confirm the destination code, date and local time.
  • Check that the traveler name and document details match.
  • Complete online check-in when the airport supports it.
  • Save a usable boarding pass or follow the document-check instruction.
  • Measure cabin bags and confirm any checked allowance.
  • Keep the baggage receipt and tag after drop-off.
  • Verify entry requirements through an official source.
  • Arrange the correct arrival airport transfer.
  • Add time when Bratislava is part of a separate-ticket journey.
  • Check live flight status before leaving for the airport.

When this Bratislava route guide needs an update

We will review this guide after the scheduled first W6 2617, W6 2609 and W6 2613 departures on October 26, 27 and 28. An earlier update is needed if Wizz Air or Bratislava Airport changes a launch date, frequency, flight number, check-in rule or route status.
