A good fit when
You want your airport pickup, hotel address and arrival messages available without looking for a SIM shop.
You are combining city stays, domestic flights or a road trip and want maps and booking updates on the same phone.
You want a separate travel data line while keeping your usual SIM installed for contacts back home.
You prefer to manage your plan online and top up an eligible reloadable plan when one is offered.
How it works
Compare Unlimited for your travel dates with the high-data 30-day option, then complete checkout online.
Read the selected package's start rule before installing and keep the setup instructions saved.
Choose the travel eSIM for mobile data and follow its roaming and network instructions after arrival.
United States coverage
Keep airport pickups, hotel messages and directions on your phone wherever the supported network reaches.
Keep the same eSIM installed between covered US stops and save onward flight and hotel details.
Remote roads and park areas can have no mobile signal. Download maps and park information before leaving town.
Compare a regional package whose coverage list includes each country on your route rather than assuming a US plan crosses the border.

Travel eSIM FAQ
What to check for city stays, domestic connections, road trips and travel beyond the United States.
Choose Unlimited if you prefer a daily high-speed allowance with reduced-speed data afterward. Choose the fixed-data 30-day option if you want one total allowance for a longer stay or uneven usage across travel days. Compare the current package prices and set the Unlimited duration to your itinerary.
You can keep the same United States eSIM installed as you move between covered destinations. It connects through the package's supported networks after arrival. Check the exact coverage before relying on it for Alaska, Hawaii or a US territory rather than assuming the country label includes every stop.
Coverage depends on the supported mobile network and can be absent on remote roads and inside parks. Download maps, park information and booking details before leaving a reliable connection. The National Park Service app offers offline park downloads; an eSIM does not provide satellite coverage.
Check the package's start rule first. Some packages start at installation and others at the first supported network connection. Follow the setup instructions, keep them saved, and use a reliable internet connection when downloading the eSIM profile.
Treat it as data-only unless the package details explicitly include a number, calls or SMS. It does not automatically provide a US number for a hotel, restaurant or app verification. Your usual SIM can remain available, but home-carrier roaming charges may apply.
Compare longer transfers to and around United States by train, bus, ferry, flight or car.
Translate text, photos and speech, and download the relevant language before departure as a backup.
Do not assume so. Choose a regional package whose exact coverage includes every border crossing on your trip. Compare the North America options with a United States country plan before buying, especially if your route combines Canadian or Mexican stops.
Check the selected package's tethering terms and your phone's hotspot support before planning to work from it. Hotspot traffic uses the same allowance as phone traffic. Large meetings, video streams and updates can use high-speed data much faster than maps and messages.
Yes. You can buy and use a non-reloadable package normally, but it cannot receive a top-up. Buy another package if you need more data. Eligible reloadable plans show a top-up option when one is available in My eSIMs.
The selector explains the daily high-speed allowance included with the Unlimited option. After it is used, data continues at reduced speed until the next daily refresh. Read the package instructions for the refresh timing. The fixed-data 30-day plan uses a total allowance instead.
Your phone must support eSIM and be unlocked for another carrier. A device that accepts an eSIM from your home carrier can still be locked. Check your exact model and lock status before purchase; on an iPhone, look under Settings, General, About, Carrier Lock.
