Daisy Chain Fields 2026 guide: parking, heat, map and set times

Daisy Chain Fields takes place at Great Park in Irvine on Saturday, August 29, 2026. Gates open at 10:30 a.m. and the event ends at 10 p.m. The first edition of Olivia Rodrigo's one-day festival is sold out, the lineup has changed, on-site parking is sold out, and the current National Weather Service forecast calls for a sunny high near 92 degrees Fahrenheit.

That combination leaves little room for improvising at the gate. The useful plan is simple: know how you are getting in, carry water through the queue, save the current schedule and map offline, and choose a pickup point before the final set.

The short answer: arrive early enough to clear transport and security before the 11:20 a.m. opening set. Use a paid Park & Ride shuttle only if every rider has a pass, or use one of the two official rideshare lots. Bring an empty bottle, non-aerosol sunscreen and an approved bag. There is no re-entry, so do not leave medication, payment or the return plan in the car.

The lineup changed after KATSEYE withdrew

KATSEYE withdrew on August 27 after an injury announced by the group. Devon Again was added to the Dandelion Stage at 1:05 p.m., and Santigold moved to the former 2:15 p.m. slot.

Older schedule graphics and third-party set-time pages may still list KATSEYE. Use the official Daisy Chain Fields schedule, not a saved image from before August 27. The two stages alternate, so the current programme has no scheduled artist overlap. That does not mean every move will be effortless. A toilet, water or food stop can consume the short interval between sets.

Take a new screenshot on Saturday morning. Do not build the day around an unannounced guest. "Special guests" is not a promise that any particular artist will appear.

Parking, shuttles and pickup compared

If you already bought on-site parking

Lots open at 8:30 a.m. and stop accepting vehicles at 8 p.m. There are no vehicle ins and outs and no overnight parking. Every person in the car must wear a festival wristband. Scan the QR code on the parking pass for the assigned route rather than navigating to the general Great Park address.

The physical pass matters. Friday pickup was at the festival box office. On Saturday, a missing advance parking pass must be collected from the DoubleTree Irvine Spectrum at 90 Pacifica between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Bring photo ID and the order number. The resident Dash Pass desk is not the festival box office and does not issue a festival parking placard.

How Park & Ride works

Park & Ride buses start at 8:30 a.m. and inbound service runs until 8 p.m. Return buses continue later. Parking at the shuttle lot is included, but a shuttle pass is sold per person, not per vehicle.

At the chosen lot, show the order confirmation and government ID to collect the route-specific shuttle wristband. Keep it on. It is needed for the ride back. A Park & Ride pass does not authorize parking at Great Park.

The OCVIBE lot is useful for visitors arriving at Anaheim Regional Transportation Intermodal Center, commonly called ARTIC. The official event instructions describe the walk from ARTIC to OCVIBE. The Irvine train station is geographically closer to Great Park, but the festival does not advertise a direct pedestrian approach from that station. Do not assume the last mile will be simple.

Rideshare and parent pickup require different pins

There are two official rideshare areas. Lot P4 uses 8000 to 8200 Great Park Boulevard. Discovery Park uses 500 Technology Drive and has a complimentary shuttle pickup on Marine Way near the Reflecting Pond.

The parent pickup and drop-off area is separate, at the Wild Rivers Lot, 10000 Great Park Boulevard. It is intended for non-rideshare family pickups. Drivers cannot wait there, so the rider should send a message only after reaching the marked pickup area.

Agree on a backup before the show. A fixed address is better than "meet near the exit," particularly when a crowd is walking toward several lots at once. A rideshare driver may also be redirected by temporary traffic controls even when the app accepts the pin.

Road closures change the normal Great Park approach

The City of Irvine lists closures around Marine Way, Skyhawk and Bosque. The broadest event-day controls run from 6 a.m. Saturday until 1 a.m. Sunday. Great Park is closed to normal visitors on Saturday, including people trying to reach other park attractions.

Text GREATPARK to 888777 for City of Irvine traffic alerts. That channel is useful for the final approach, but it does not replace the QR directions attached to an existing parking pass.

Residents may have separate access credentials. A neighborhood Dash Pass is not a festival parking permit. Visitors should not follow a resident through a barricade or use a residential street as an unofficial pickup zone.

Heat is the daytime planning problem

The National Weather Service point forecast reviewed early on August 29 called for sun and a high near 92 degrees Fahrenheit in Irvine. The extreme heat warning ended Friday evening, but Saturday is still hot enough to make an all-day standing plan a poor idea.

Arrive hydrated and carry water while waiting outside. Empty reusable bottles, empty hydration packs and factory-sealed single-serving electrolyte packets are allowed. Fill the bottle as soon as you enter. The official guide identifies free hydration stations, cooling fans and misters, shaded areas at Palm Court and Daisy Lane, and cooling buses at medical tents.

An empty personal misting fan with a bottle no larger than 1.5 liters is allowed. Non-aerosol sunscreen must be 3.4 ounces or less. Aerosol sunscreen, umbrellas, chairs, canopies and personal shade structures are prohibited.

Do not treat a cooling bus as the place to recover only after symptoms become severe. Build in a shade and water stop before the mid-afternoon sets. If somebody becomes confused, faints, stops sweating despite heat or cannot keep fluids down, ask event or medical staff for help.

Use the map as a route plan, not decoration

Save the high-resolution festival map before leaving. Mark these locations:

1. Main entrance and the access center
2. Dandelion and Marigold stages
3. Nearest hydration point to each stage
4. Medical tents and cooling buses
5. The pickup or shuttle return location

The alternating schedule makes every set technically watchable, but crossing with the entire audience can still be slow. Use one five-minute interval for movement and choose a later gap for food. Do not leave both dinner and the toilet stop until the 7:40 p.m. changeover before Not for Radio.

Daisy Chain Fields bag policy

A small clutch or fanny pack measuring 6 by 9 inches or less may be non-clear, but it can have no more than one pocket. Larger bags must be clear and smaller than 12 by 6 by 12 inches. Empty hydration packs do not need to be clear; they may have no more than two main compartments and one smaller compartment.

All bags are searched. Useful permitted items include:

• Empty reusable water bottle or hydration pack
• Non-aerosol sunscreen up to 3.4 ounces
• Empty misting fan up to 1.5 liters
• Portable battery pack
• Factory-sealed single-serving electrolyte packets
• Basic point-and-shoot camera without a detachable lens
• Child-occupied stroller or stroller wagon
• Blanket, sheet or towel

Leave chairs, coolers, outside drinks, ordinary outside food, umbrellas, professional camera equipment, selfie sticks, drones, scooters, wagons without a child, glass and shade structures behind. Guests with medical dietary needs should use the event's accessibility contact rather than relying on the general food rule.

Wristbands, no re-entry and cashless payment

Only wristbands bought through the festival or Front Gate Tickets are valid. Wear the wristband securely and do not tighten it before it is on the correct person. The policy allows one replacement for the original purchaser for a $25 fee if a wristband is lost, stolen or damaged.

There is no re-entry. Wristbands are scanned on exit, so leaving for medication, a charger or a different pair of shoes ends the festival day.

Daisy Chain Fields is fully cashless. Credit cards, debit cards and mobile wallets are accepted. Carry a physical payment card as a backup. A phone battery problem is more than an inconvenience when the same device holds payment, the rideshare account and the return plan.

Lockers rented through the official provider include a three-connector charging cable. That does not remove the need for a power bank if the locker is unavailable or far from the current stage.

Accessibility and mobility planning

No separate accessibility ticket is required. The access center is inside the main entrance and can issue the current accessibility wristband. Designated viewing areas are first come, first served, and one companion may accompany an eligible guest in those areas.

Accessible parking is in P1 at 250 Corsair, but it still requires a valid festival parking pass plus a state-issued placard or plate. Since event parking is sold out, a visitor without a parking pass should use the accessible arrival guidance instead of assuming a placard creates a space.

The festival recommends rideshare Lot P4 for guests with disabilities because it is closer to the entrance. At Discovery Park, an accessible shuttle can take the guest and one companion closer when staff are asked. The event site covers paved routes, grass and long distances. It does not provide wheelchair rentals, push assistance or golf-cart transport.

Is Daisy Chain Fields suitable for children?

The festival is all ages. Children age four and under may enter free with a ticket-holding adult, up to two children per adult, except in Pit Viewing, Bungalows and Suites, where every guest needs the matching wristband.

An all-day plan is demanding for a young child in 92-degree weather. Choose a short part of the programme, bring ear protection, use a child-occupied stroller if needed, and decide in advance what would trigger an early departure. Screening of children happens with a parent or guardian's consent.

Write an adult phone number where the child can show it to staff. Take a current photo in the day's clothing. Use a fixed family meeting point away from the stage edge, not a moving landmark such as a merchandise queue.

Mobile data and Roaming eSIM in Irvine

Mobile data is useful for traffic alerts, map changes, rideshare pickup and group messages. It cannot reserve capacity in a crowded cell or guarantee full speed beside tens of thousands of other phones. Offline copies remain the reliable fallback.
