Where is the Festival Cordillera entrance?

Only buy through Ticketmaster or another channel linked by the organizer. Ticketmaster states that it is not responsible for unofficial tickets, and the event is for adults aged 18 or older. A person under 18 can be refused entry without a refund under the published terms.

Festival Cordillera bag policy and prohibited items

Ticketmaster prohibits bags larger than 30 by 30 centimetres. Measure the bag before leaving accommodation. A soft bag can exceed the limit once filled, and there is no reason to carry a borderline item through a major-event queue.

The published prohibited list includes outside food and drink, bottles, cans, chairs, blankets, umbrellas, aerosols, lasers, sharp objects, pets and professional camera or recording equipment. Check the current Ticketmaster event terms before packing because security rules can change.

An umbrella is a poor choice even if rain is possible because it appears on the prohibited list. Use a compact rain jacket or poncho that fits inside the bag limit. How to reach Parque Simon Bolivar by TransMilenio

Bogota's Festival Cordillera transport guide says 26 regular trunk routes serve the nearby Salitre-El Greco, CAN-British Council and Movistar Arena stations. More than 33 zonal services also run around Carrera 68 and Calle 53. The useful stop depends on the active entrance and your starting point, so use TransMiApp on the day rather than choosing a station by distance alone.

Top up the TuLlave card before joining festival traffic. A balance problem after midnight is harder to solve than it is during the afternoon. TransMilenio also recommends its official app and WhatsApp information channel for current service details.

Allow extra walking time from the stop to the Avenida de la Esmeralda screening point. A map may show a short line across parkland where event barriers require a longer public route.

If you are arriving from El Dorado Airport, build the route in the official planner using the entrance area as the destination. Airport arrival time is not festival arrival time. Immigration, baggage, accommodation check-in and cross-city traffic can consume several hours, especially on a weekend with a large event.

Late-night buses after Festival Cordillera

TransMilenio has announced three special TransMiZonal corridors after the festival, heading toward:

• Unicentro, useful for parts of northern Bogota;
• Septimazo, running toward the central corridor;
• Avenida 1 de Mayo, serving a southern cross-city corridor.

TransMilenio says dispatch will adjust to demand. It has not promised each visitor a fixed departure minute, seat or direct trip to accommodation. Check the official stop information and live operation before committing to a route.

The safest plan is specific enough to work without a signal:

1. Choose the special corridor that gets closest to your accommodation or a known transfer point.
2. Save the stop and walking route offline.
3. Agree whether the group will leave together or meet at a named point outside the densest exit flow.
4. Keep a backup pickup point on a road that remains accessible during the closures.
5. Do not separate until everyone understands the plan.

A ride-hail booking can still take time when thousands of people request cars at once. Do not use a random residential corner as a pickup point or walk through a closed road because the app placed a pin there. Match the pickup to police directions and current vehicle access.

Road closures around Parque Simon Bolivar

Bogota's current traffic plan closes or restricts several roads, cycle lanes and pedestrian sections around the park. The longest relevant restriction starts at 8 p.m. on Friday, September 11, on the south side of Calle 63 between Carrera 68 and Carrera 60. Related cycle and pedestrian restrictions begin at midnight and continue until 6 a.m. Monday.

The western carriageway of Carrera 60 between Calle 63 and Calle 53 is also scheduled to close from midnight Sunday until 6 a.m. Monday. Other nearby segments have shorter controls around event access and exit.

These closures make door-to-door driving less predictable than the distance suggests. If using a taxi or ride-hail service, expect the final approach or pickup to move. If driving, follow the current city diversion and event parking instructions. Do not assume a normal weekend route beside the park will remain open.

Cyclists should also check the active plan. A road closure does not automatically create a safe cycle route, and the Calle 63 cycle section is included in the official restrictions.

How Festival Cordillera cashless payments work

The festival uses cashless wristbands for purchases inside. Its cashless terms say the wristband is the authorized payment method for food, drinks and merchandise.

The online preload deadline was September 11 at 9 a.m., so a visitor reading this later should not expect a new online preload to work. Load funds through the method available at the event and confirm the balance after each transaction.

An Individual General single-day attendee receives a separate cashless wristband inside. Several other admission categories use an access wristband that can also hold cashless value. Keep the wristband attached and photograph its serial number before the festival ends. The serial is needed for a refund request.

The published refund request window runs from September 24 through October 23, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. Refunds to a Colombian bank account carry an COP 8,000 charge including tax. The terms say international refunds use PayPal, while an international bank transfer carries a USD 30 cost. Small leftover balances may therefore cost more to recover than they are worth.

Spend deliberately, check the balance before the last purchase and keep the wristband until any refund is complete. Do not throw it away at the exit.

Accessibility and reduced-mobility tickets

Ticketmaster's terms say the designated reduced-mobility area is within General admission and that VIP is not suitable for people with reduced mobility. Space in the designated area is limited. One companion may accompany the visitor, but the companion needs a valid ticket.

Contact the organizer before arrival if you need a specific entrance, viewing position, toilet route or assistance. A general accessibility label does not answer whether grass, rain, crowds or the distance from public transport will work for one person.

Bogota can move between sun, rain and a cool evening in one festival day. Check the hourly forecast before leaving.
