Frieze London and Frieze Masters run October 14 to 18, 2026, with public admission from Thursday, October 15. Wednesday is invitation only. For a first visit, choose the art you want to see before choosing a ticket: the contemporary fair, the historical fair or the separate, free Frieze Sculpture exhibition in Regent's Park.

You do not have to buy art to enjoy a visit. But a paid fair is a different outing from a museum or a walk around the park. Plan a few presentations you want to spend time with rather than buying the largest ticket and trying to see everything.

Frieze London, Frieze Masters or free sculpture?

ChoiceWhat to expectA useful reason to choose it
Frieze LondonContemporary art, primarily work made after 2000You want to follow living artists and current gallery presentations
Frieze MastersArt made before 2000, across a much longer historical rangeYou prefer historical work or want to compare different periods
A combined ticketAdmission to both paid fairs on the same dayBoth interest you enough to allow time for each, not just a quick second stop
Frieze SculptureA free outdoor exhibition in the English GardensYou want an art outing without buying fair admission, or a shorter visit with children

The organizer's fair FAQs explain the distinction between the two paid fairs. Think about what you would willingly spend an afternoon looking at. Someone curious about contemporary practice need not buy a combined ticket simply because it exists; someone interested in older work can choose Masters instead.

If your budget or energy is limited, start with the free outdoor exhibition. That is a complete choice, not a requirement to upgrade to a paid fair later.

How much are Frieze London 2026 tickets?

On October 3, the official ticket page listed these full-price weekend options for October 17 or 18, before booking fees:

TicketListed priceCheck before paying
General admission to one fairGBP48The selected fair, date and entry time
General admission First Access, before 3pmGBP59Your actual timed slot
Combined general admissionGBP92Both admissions and the required visiting order
Student combined admissionGBP32Accepted student ID and availability
Child admission, ages 2 to 17GBP10Weekend availability and entry from 2pm

Early-bird tickets are sold out. Do not budget using the old GBP38 general-admission price. Thursday and Friday have different ticket categories and prices, so the weekend table is not a quote for every public day.

One-fair admission does not automatically include both fairs. Check the purchase confirmation rather than assuming a guide's phrase "day pass" means combined access. Tickets are sold online; use the official booking link rather than arriving expecting a gate sale.

The ticket category and the fair's opening hour are also different things. An 11am opening does not mean every ticket admits you at 11am. Choose the slot you can comfortably reach after your journey, and save the confirmation before leaving.

If you can no longer go, the FAQs say tickets cannot be refunded or exchanged. Contact the official ticket service about your circumstances instead of assuming an informal resale is permitted or protected.

Timed entry, no re-entry and a realistic day

Check 2026 visitor information for each fair's hours. Sunday closes at 6pm; Thursday's public session is shorter at London than at Masters. Last entry is 30 minutes before closing. General-admission tickets have no re-entry. Combined-ticket visitors must follow the order printed on their tickets.

That changes the lunch plan. Do not step outside intending to return to the same fair, and do not put a restaurant reservation between two admissions until you have checked both slots. The visitor page prohibits outside food and drink; use the fair's current instructions for anything you intend to carry.

For one fair, have a meal beforehand, arrive for your slot and pick a small number of galleries or sections from the current programme. Leave space to pause, ask about work and sit down. You can finish without treating every aisle as a task to complete.

For both fairs, write down the two entries in order and leave a transfer buffer. There is a complimentary shuttle roughly every 15 minutes between the entrances, but that frequency is not a guaranteed total journey time. Allow for waiting and admission checks. A comfortable second visit is more useful than an expensive pass spent watching the clock.

If you are coming alone, agree on a meeting point outside the entrance before joining friends. Inside, name a specific booth or section when messaging. You do not need a collecting budget to ask what an artwork is about; give gallery staff room to deal with other visitors and ask before photographing.

Bags, luggage and getting to the right entrance

The FAQs allow bags up to 40 x 20 x 40cm and require backpacks to be carried by hand rather than worn. Cloakroom space is very limited. Leave airport luggage with your accommodation or arrange storage before travelling to the fair; do not build the day around an assumed suitcase check-in.

Use the entrance address, not just "Regent's Park," in your route planner. Frieze London enters off Park Square West, NW1 4LL. Frieze Masters is at Gloucester Green, NW1 4HA, toward the park's northeast corner. Those are different arrival points.

Use TfL Go to compare the journey from your accommodation or arrival station. It provides live service information and step-free planning. Check the whole route, including the walk from the station; a nearby station name alone does not tell you which exit has a lift.

For an airport arrival, allow time for immigration where relevant, baggage, the city journey and storage. Booking a cheaper later slot can be sensible, but not if it leaves almost no visiting time after those tasks.

Frieze overlaps the BFI London Film Festival. If you want both, check the film's actual venue and start time before adding it after the fair. Do not assume two London events are close enough for a short transfer.

Visiting with children or access requirements

Child admission is limited to weekend entry from 2pm; children under two enter free, and strollers are allowed. A family planning an early weekday visit should check eligibility before purchasing adult tickets, not discover the restriction at the entrance.

The organizer's accessibility page confirms accessible toilets and baby-changing facilities at both fairs, benches throughout, and a nursing room at Frieze London. It also lists water refill points. Do not assume every facility is identical at Masters.

Free companion or carer tickets can be arranged through the official ticket service after booking your own ticket. Wheelchairs are first come, first served, and dedicated wheelchair assistance is not provided. Contact the organizer if your visit depends on a particular arrangement.

For visitors seeking a quieter period, the organizer suggests Thursday 2pm to 5pm or Friday 11am to 2pm. These are indicative periods, not designated quiet sessions or a promise about crowds. Read the linked sensory story and plan breaks around your needs.

With children, choose one manageable outing. A short paid visit or the outdoor sculpture exhibition may work better than two fairs followed by an evening event. Check the family guide together beforehand and decide what you will skip if everyone is tired.

See Frieze Sculpture without a fair ticket

Frieze Sculpture 2026 runs September 16 to November 1 in the English Gardens, with works by 11 artists. It is free and separate from the paid fairs. You can visit before the public fair dates or after the tents close for the edition.

One work to look for is Conrad Shawcross's Eye of the Needle. In the organizer's September 29 artist interview, the sculpture's perforated metal planes change the light passing through it. Looking from different positions gives you something specific to notice, rather than simply ticking off an outdoor installation.

Bloomberg Connects is the exhibition's official digital guide, and the Frieze page links a family guide too. The free arts app can help you read about the work as you walk. Open the guide before setting off, and save any information you need rather than assuming every feature works offline.

Check Regent's Park opening information and the forecast near your visit. Plan outdoor viewing in daylight with shoes and a rain layer suited to the conditions. Follow signs around each work; being outdoors does not make a sculpture climbing equipment.

Mobile data for a London art weekend

Your useful phone tasks are modest: finding the right entrance, checking transport, opening the art guide and arranging a meeting point. Save your ticket, accommodation address and return route before leaving. A charged phone and offline copies still matter when you have mobile data.

For a visitor whose home plan does not include affordable UK roaming, OpenSim's United Kingdom plans listed 1 GB for seven days at US$1.14, eligible for top-up, on October 3. A larger example was 10 GB for 30 days at US$8.56, also top-up eligible. Checkout fees or currency conversion may affect the total. The practical advantage is choosing a stated data allowance for London and the rest of a UK trip, with an eligible top-up if your plans change. These are catalog examples, not a claim that OpenSim beats every carrier's price.

If UK roaming is already included in your home plan, you may not need another purchase. Check the allowance and any limits first. Heavy uploads or video calls need a different calculation from opening a ticket and sending messages.

Use the travel data calculator, check phone compatibility and read when to install an eSIM before travel. Confirm the selected plan's coverage, validity and start rule at checkout. Mobile data does not change an admission slot or guarantee uninterrupted service in a crowded venue.

Updated October 3, 2026. Ticket prices, entry rules, facilities and exhibition dates are attributed to Frieze; transport guidance links to TfL and park information to The Royal Parks. Check the official booking page before paying. This guide will be reviewed before public opening and when the organizer changes ticket, entry or access instructions.
