Near Tbilisi: separate the cathedral town from the cave town
Mtskheta historic monuments
Children can compare Svetitskhoveli's enclosed cathedral space with Jvari's hill setting, but one church interior is enough for a half-day. Add a river-view pause and lunch rather than another monastery. Ages six and older usually get more from the story and surfaces.

Gergeti Trinity Church and the valley
Children can use the valley viewpoints and a short approved walk; reaching the church need not become a forced hike. A suitable local vehicle or a route chosen with the tourist information centre is the practical family plan. Allow a half day after sleeping in Stepantsminda.
Altitude, fog, snow, wind and road conditions can overturn the plan. Do not demand a driver continue when conditions deteriorate. Borjomi Central Park
The family value is an easy park walk, a drink stop and room to move after a train or road transfer. Younger children do not need a long national-park trek to benefit from Borjomi. Allow two to four hours and verify which rides or cable facilities are operating.
Paths and facilities vary beyond the central area. Ask the visitor centre for a short route matching the youngest walker, especially after rain or in winter. Prometheus Cave
The official one-hour route passes lit formations and finishes by a pedestrian exit or an optional boat section. The boat can be suspended when water rises. Ages six and older are the best fit for darkness, instructions and the fixed session.

Sataplia Managed Reserve
Sataplia combines dinosaur-footprint conservation, an exhibition hall, cave, Colchic forest trail and panoramic viewpoint. That mix suits children who need movement between indoor explanations. Allow two to three hours.
The glass viewpoint, cave darkness and forest paths will not suit every child. Ask staff which sections can be skipped and whether the current route handles a stroller or wheelchair. The visitor centre, cafe and marked paths are documented, but exact operation can change.

Batumi: give the garden its own half day
Batumi Botanical Garden
Children can compare plants from different climates and use a simple colour or leaf-shape challenge. The garden is large and hilly, so select one route rather than trying to complete it. Ages five and older are the easiest fit for a three-hour visit.

Transport, restraints and airport choices
Tbilisi Airport has an arrivals tourist information centre, and the national tourism portal lists it as 17 km from the city centre. Check the airport's current bus, rail and taxi information against the flight time. For a transfer, request the exact child restraint in writing.
Georgia's road law says children under three must be transported on the rear seat in a special pram, car seat or holding arrangement suited to height and weight, subject to a narrow adult-held exception described in the law. The railway can reduce long road exposure between Tbilisi, Kutaisi and Batumi. Check the Georgian Railway site for live trains, seat rules and luggage. Ask about folding strollers rather than assuming level boarding.
