Icelandair strike status now

Icelandair Group's September 14 notice says the association represents aircraft mechanics employed by Icelandair. It describes the proposed action as indefinite and says it is expected to disrupt operations if no agreement is reached first.

The deadline has moved closer without a verified settlement. Vísir reported on September 21 that Icelandair rejected the union's offer to postpone the action by seven days. Both sides remained open to talks, but the strike notice stayed in place.

Which flights could be affected

The clearest risk is to Icelandair departures from Iceland after the proposed start, including domestic and international services on September 23 and 24.
