Jet2 Tunisia winter flights: 2027-28 airport guide

Jet2 has extended its first Tunisia programme beyond summer 2027, adding more than 32,000 seats between five UK airports and Enfidha-Hammamet. The new dates run into late November 2027, pause for part of winter, then return from February 11 to 13, 2028 depending on the departure airport.

This is a season extension, not a continuous December-to-February service. Birmingham, East Midlands, Leeds Bradford, Manchester and London Stansted all have different operating patterns, so travelers should start with the airport table below rather than assume every route runs on the same days.

Jet2's extended Enfidha schedule by UK airport

ManchesterTuesday and FridayNovember 30, 2027February 11, 2028
London StanstedWednesday and SundayNovember 28, 2027February 13, 2028

These dates and weekdays come from Jet2's October 15 announcement. Leeds Bradford is described as a Jet2-exclusive route. The airline did not publish flight numbers or departure times in the announcement, so use the live booking result for those details.

Jet2 says the extension adds four weeks after its summer programme and five weeks from February half term, nine weeks in total. That wording does not mean the five airports have identical start and end dates. Search the exact origin and travel date before making a separate hotel, rail or parking booking.

The winter gap matters when comparing dates

The latest announced Manchester service ends on November 30, 2027 and restarts on February 11, 2028. The other four airports stop between November 27 and 28 and resume between February 12 and 13. A December or January search should therefore not be expected to return one of these direct Jet2 flights.

Travelers considering a long stay that crosses the gap should price each direction separately and check whether another airline or connection is needed on the return. Separate tickets offer less protection if one flight is delayed, and bags may need to be collected and checked again.

The Bristol-Enfidha route announced for summer 2028 is a separate expansion. Bristol is not one of the five bases in this winter extension, so do not use its later launch as evidence of a Bristol winter flight.

Check whether the date is flight-only or package-only

Jet2 sells both flights and Jet2holidays packages, but availability can differ. Its live search can label a date as package-only even when no flight-only fare appears. The airline's current Enfidha page also warns that displayed fares are limited, date-specific and can change before booking.

Search the flight-only and package options separately. A package can include transfers and hold baggage under its own terms, while a flight-only booking may require each extra to be selected and paid for. Compare the full basket, including resort transfer, bags, seats and payment terms, not only the first fare shown.

Because the service is more than a year away, treat the announcement as the plan rather than a guarantee that every future departure will keep the same time or aircraft. Confirm the operating date in the final itinerary and recheck it before arranging a tight connection.

Baggage depends on what you actually book

Jet2's current flight allowance includes one cabin bag up to 10kg and 56 x 45 x 25cm, plus a small under-seat bag up to 40 x 30 x 20cm. Hold baggage is an optional purchase on flight-only bookings, with up to three 22kg bags per person per flight. A single checked item must not exceed 32kg.

Package advertising may include a 22kg hold allowance, but read the booking summary rather than transferring that assumption to a flight-only fare. Sports equipment and excess weight have separate charges and limits. The terms shown at checkout and on the confirmation control the booking.

If a cabin is full, Jet2 says it may place a standard cabin bag in the hold unless guaranteed cabin luggage has been purchased. Keep medication, documents, valuables and essential arrival information in the small under-seat bag.

Online check-in closes before airport check-in

Jet2 currently opens online check-in 28 days before departure and closes it six hours before departure. Travelers with a downloaded boarding pass and hand luggage only can normally go to security, while anyone checking a bag still needs the Jet2 area at the airport.

Airport desks generally open at least two hours 30 minutes before departure and close 40 minutes before departure. Individual airports can publish different opening details. Security queues, parking delays or a late train do not move the closure, so work back from the confirmed airport and departure time.

Save the boarding pass to the phone rather than relying on a live email or app session. Jet2 says airport staff can print one if a device fails, but an offline copy also helps at parking, bag-drop and security checkpoints.

Tunisia entry rules need a fresh passport check

The UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office says its Tunisia entry guidance applies to people traveling on a full British citizen passport. It currently says the passport should be valid for the duration of the stay and that visits of up to 90 days are visa-free for most British citizen passport holders. Other nationalities and Crown Dependency passport holders can have different rules.

Border officials may ask for contact details, a return or onward ticket and proof of accommodation. The FCDO reports that some visitors have been delayed or denied entry when they could not provide enough accommodation evidence. Keep the booking address and return itinerary available offline.

Tunisia's authorities set the rules, and the trip is in 2027 or 2028. Check the current FCDO Tunisia advice and the Tunisian embassy before departure. The advice includes regional warnings, so a beach resort booking should not be treated as permission to travel everywhere in the country.

Enfidha is an arrival airport, not a resort center

Enfidha-Hammamet International Airport, code NBE, serves several resort areas. Jet2 currently describes it as roughly 42km from Yasmine Hammamet, 50km from Hammamet and 35km from Port El Kantaoui. Mahdia is farther away at about 107km. Those figures are planning distances, not promised transfer times.

For a package, check whether the booking includes a shared coach and whether the transfer stops at several hotels. For a flight-only booking, arrange the onward journey around the actual arrival time. The airport says STS buses connect it with Enfidha, Sousse, Monastir and Yasmine Hammamet, but it tells passengers to contact the operator for the current timetable.

Tourist taxis are available at the airport around the clock. The airport publishes meter rules and surcharges, including a night increase between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m., but travelers should verify the current tariff and agree how the trip will be priced before setting off. A ride-hailing app appearing on a phone does not prove it can collect at the airport or cross every local service boundary.

Mobile data for Enfidha, Hammamet and a wider trip

OpenSim's live catalog had options for Tunisia, Middle East and North Africa, Africa and 120 global areas when this guide was reviewed.

A Tunisia plan fits a resort stay within the country. A regional or global plan can make more sense when the itinerary includes another covered destination, but compare the actual country list, data allowance, validity, speed policy and price. The broadest label is not automatically the best value.

Install the eSIM over reliable Wi-Fi before leaving home and follow the selected package's activation instructions. It supplies mobile data on supported terrestrial networks. It does not provide inflight Wi-Fi, guarantee coverage in every rural area or replace an offline copy of the hotel address, transfer confirmation and entry documents.

Ten questions about Jet2 Tunisia winter flights

Which UK airports get the extended Tunisia season?

Birmingham, East Midlands, Leeds Bradford, Manchester and London Stansted. All five routes fly to Enfidha-Hammamet, but their operating days and final November dates differ.

Are the Jet2 Tunisia flights operating all winter?

No. The announced late-2027 flights end between November 27 and 30, then restart between February 11 and 13, 2028. Jet2 has not announced these routes as continuous December and January services.

When is the first Jet2 Tunisia flight in February 2028?

Manchester resumes first on Friday, February 11. Birmingham, East Midlands and Leeds Bradford resume on Saturday, February 12, while London Stansted resumes on Sunday, February 13.

Can I book only a flight to Enfidha?

Jet2 markets flight-only and package options, but some dates can be package-only. Run both searches for the exact airport and date, then compare the total after bags, transfers and seats.

Is checked baggage included on a flight-only booking?

Do not assume it is. Jet2 lets flight-only customers add up to three 22kg checked bags per person per flight. Use the final booking summary to see what is included; package terms can differ.

How early can I check in online?

Jet2 currently allows online check-in from 28 days until six hours before departure. Airport check-in generally closes 40 minutes before the scheduled flight, even if security or ground transport is delayed.

Do British travelers need a visa for Tunisia?

The FCDO currently says most full British citizen passport holders can visit for up to 90 days without a visa. Passport type, nationality and trip purpose matter, so check the official rule again before a 2027 or 2028 journey.

How do I get from Enfidha Airport to Hammamet or Sousse?

Package transfers, pre-booked transfers, public buses and tourist taxis are the main choices. Match the option to the hotel, arrival time and group size, and verify the live bus timetable or taxi price before travel.

Can I rely on a ride-hailing app at Enfidha Airport?

Do not make it the only plan. Public traveler questions repeatedly mention uncertain pickup and local operating boundaries. Use the airport's official transport information or a confirmed transfer, and keep the destination address offline.

Will a Tunisia eSIM work on the Jet2 flight?

No. A travel eSIM uses supported mobile networks on the ground. Put the phone in flight mode onboard and use airline Wi-Fi only if the operating aircraft offers it under the current terms.

A booking checklist for the extended season

  • Match the UK airport with its exact operating day and season end or restart date.
  • Confirm that the live result is flight-only or a package, then compare the full cost.
  • Read the selected booking's cabin bag, hold bag, seat and change terms.
  • Save the boarding pass, accommodation address and return details offline.
  • Recheck passport, visa and regional travel advice close to departure.
  • Confirm whether a package transfer is included and where it meets the flight.
  • For an independent transfer, verify the current bus timetable or taxi terms.
  • Keep enough time for airport check-in, security and any separate connection.
  • Install travel data before departure and retain an offline arrival plan.
  • Recheck the flight date, time and operating status before leaving for the airport.

Jet2 Tunisia winter flights source record

Jet2's October 15 release controls the 32,000-seat total, nine-week extension, airports, weekdays, November end dates and February restart dates. Its live Enfidha, baggage and check-in pages support booking, allowance and airport-process guidance. Enfidha Airport supports the bus and taxi planning, while the UK government controls the British-passport and regional-advice summaries.

Public traveler discussions informed the questions about transfers, taxis, late arrivals, ride apps, resort choice and keeping arrival details offline. They were used to identify practical uncertainty, not as evidence for airline, immigration or transport policy.

Review this guide if Jet2 changes the season, operating days, airports, sale status, flight-only availability or baggage rules; if Enfidha Airport changes transport information; or if Tunisia changes entry or regional travel guidance.
