KCON LA 2026 guide: tickets, bags, schedule and Metro

KCON LA 2026 runs from Friday, August 14 through Sunday, August 16. Festival Grounds occupy South Hall, Kentia Hall and meeting rooms at the Los Angeles Convention Center during the day. M COUNTDOWN begins at 8pm next door at Crypto.com Arena, with arena doors listed for 6:30pm.

The difficult part is not choosing an artist. It is buying access to the correct half of KCON and carrying something that both venues will admit. Festival Grounds and M COUNTDOWN have separate entry rules. Some ticket packages include both, but the 1DAY K-POP DISCOVERY ticket is concert-only and a standard 1DAY ticket is convention-only.

This guide was checked on August 4, 2026. KCON says its FAQ will continue to change, so check the official schedule and rules again before leaving for Los Angeles.

KCON LA 2026 at a glance

Festival Grounds and M COUNTDOWN are different tickets

The current KCON ticket FAQ uses several similar names. Decide what you actually want to attend before comparing prices or resale listings.

KCON is not offering a three-day ticket in 2026. Each ticket applies to one named day. Ticket sales are final, and KCON says upgrades are not available after purchase. A suite ticket at Crypto.com Arena is also concert-only, so it needs a separate 1DAY ticket if Festival Grounds matter.

The cleanest buying rule is simple:

1. Choose the day by the artists and daytime programme you want.
2. Decide whether you need Festival Grounds, M COUNTDOWN or both.
3. Buy through the official AXS route linked by KCON or the venues.
4. Check every benefit on the actual ticket before paying.

Do not rely on a seller's shorthand such as "all day" or "premium." Current fan discussions show that even experienced concertgoers are mixing up convention access, Artist Stage zones, Hi-Wave and arena seating. KCON also warns that purchases through unofficial sellers may not carry the package benefits, and it directs ticket problems to AXS.

Which KCON day should you choose?

The Crypto.com Arena event page lists a different M COUNTDOWN lineup each night. The artist order can change, so use this as a day-choice guide rather than a running order.

Artist Stage, Toyota Music Den and Dance Stage are daytime programmes inside Festival Grounds. Their time slots do not follow the M COUNTDOWN list. Save the official timetable for your day and build the plan around two or three priorities. A schedule packed from 10am to 6pm leaves no room for security, food, queues or moving from Kentia Hall to South Hall.

A realistic KCON day

For a Festival Grounds and seated-concert ticket, 9am is a more useful starting point than an overnight queue. Confirm where KCON wants your ticket tier to enter, collect any required wristband, and be ready for the 10am opening. The current KCON rules page still contains some 2025 operational text, so treat staff directions and 2026 updates as the authority on event morning.

Use the first half of the day for the stage or booth you care about most. Eat before the late-afternoon handoff. Festival Grounds close at 6pm and arena doors are listed for 6:30pm, which creates a short transition for people doing both. Put the arena-approved items in your pocket or permitted clutch from the start rather than trying to solve baggage at 6pm.

If the concert is your only priority, the K-POP DISCOVERY ticket avoids paying for convention access you will not use. Arrive with time for security and mobile-ticket trouble. The performance is listed for 8pm, but the venue does not publish an end time on the event page. Check the final schedule and the last useful train before committing to a distant hotel or same-night regional journey.

For a convention-only visit, a 1DAY ticket gives the full daytime window. The AFTER 3PM version is better for a short look at booths and remaining programme items, but it cannot recover a midday Artist Stage appearance. Check the timetable before choosing it.

The KCON LA 2026 bag and lightstick problem

There are two venues and two policy sources. The strictest rule matters when you plan to enter both on the same day.

The current Crypto.com Arena KCON page says bags, backpacks, purses, totes, clear bags, fanny packs and camera bags are not allowed. A small clutch or wallet must be smaller than 5 x 9 x 1 inches. Medical and parental bags smaller than 14 x 14 x 6 inches go through X-ray screening.

This means a 12-inch clear convention bag is not an arena bag. Do not assume that transparency makes it acceptable. The arena lists paid Binbox lockers beside the Kobe Bryant Entrance, but relying on a locker adds a queue and inventory risk during the short handoff between venues.

Lightsticks need a separate check. Crypto.com Arena's current A-Z guide lists light and glow sticks among prohibited items unless event management provides a specific exception. The KCON event page did not publish that exception when this article was checked. Ask KCON or arena Guest Services for the event-specific answer before carrying a lightstick. A previous KCON experience or a fan reply is not a 2026 permission.

Also leave camera bags, interchangeable-lens cameras, tripods, monopods, GoPros and selfie sticks at the hotel. The arena says its camera rule can become stricter at the artist's request. Small signs are normally limited to 11 x 17 inches and cannot be attached to a pole, block views or create a safety risk.

For Festival Grounds alone, follow the current KCON and convention-center instructions for your day. KCON's public rules page still showed 2025 dates and a 2025 clear-bag rule on August 4. That old dimension is not a reliable substitute for a 2026 update.

Mobile tickets, wristbands and entering with friends

Crypto.com Arena uses AXS Mobile ID. The venue says the AXS app is the admission method and that a screenshot is not the ticket. Sign in before reaching the entry line, update the app, and make sure the event appears under the same email account used for purchase.

If friends will arrive separately, transfer each eligible ticket before the event. The AXS Mobile ID guide says guests can then enter from their own AXS account instead of waiting for the buyer outside. Do the transfer while everyone has reliable internet and confirm that the recipient can open it.

Festival Grounds use a ticket scan and wristband process. Current fan questions focus on whether one person can collect multiple wristbands and where Artist Stage wristbands are issued. Do not build a plan around an unofficial answer. Each attendee should be present with their own valid ticket unless KCON publishes a different procedure for that tier.

Keep the purchase confirmation, order number and identity document accessible, but never post the ticket QR code. KCON warns that copied codes can be scanned first and invalidate the original.

Getting to KCON by Metro

Both venues sit on Figueroa Street in Downtown Los Angeles. The Los Angeles Convention Center transport page lists three useful rail approaches:

• Pico station on the A and E Lines is about an eight-minute walk.
• 7th Street/Metro Center serves the A, E, B and D Lines and is about a 10 to 15-minute walk.
• LATTC/Ortho Institute on the E Line is about a 10 to 12-minute walk.

Pico is the obvious station for most visitors, but 7th Street/Metro Center can be a useful fallback when the nearest platform is busy after the show. Save both routes and check live service before leaving the arena.

Road construction makes driving less predictable. West Pico Boulevard between Figueroa Street and L.A. Live Way is closed through March 31, 2028 for the convention-center expansion. The center advises drivers to use its West Hall or South Hall garages, but event traffic and construction can change the useful approach. Pre-booking parking does not remove the queue to reach it.

If the trip starts at LAX, the airport provides a free Metro Connector shuttle between terminals and the LAX/Metro Transit Center. From there, rail reaches the wider Metro system, but downtown requires transfers. The FlyAway bus to Union Station is another public-transport option before a local transfer. Compare the route with luggage before arrival rather than deciding at the curb.

For accommodation, prioritize a route you can repeat after a late show. Walking distance or a direct rail ride is more useful than a cheaper room that depends on a long regional connection after an unpublished finish time. Check the final evening timetable for all three nights.

Apps and offline files to prepare

Install the necessary apps at home or on hotel Wi-Fi. Opening them once matters more than collecting a long app list.

• AXS: open and verify the live mobile ticket. Transfer tickets to friends who will enter separately.
• Mnet Plus and KCON's official channels: check programme changes, notices and livestream information.
• TAP and LA Metro: load fare, plan rail and bus trips, and check current arrivals and alerts.
• Google Maps or Apple Maps: save the convention center, arena, hotel and a second station route.
• Binbox: install only if you may need the arena's paid outside locker. A no-bag plan is safer.
• A weather app: Los Angeles in August can mean a hot outdoor queue even though most programming is indoors.

Save a compact offline folder containing the hotel address, passport copy stored securely, AXS order details, KCON timetable, venue map, Metro return route, meeting point and support contacts. The live AXS code still needs the app, but the other files should open in airplane mode.

Pick one meeting point outside the security lines. "By the entrance" is too vague when the convention center and arena have several doors and crowd barriers.

Food, water, heat and accessibility

The Los Angeles Convention Center permits a personal water bottle but does not allow outside food in bulk. Crypto.com Arena says one unopened plastic water bottle of one litre or less is normally permitted, while outside food and other drinks are not. Event-specific security can still make the final decision.

Eat before the Festival Grounds close. A person moving directly from a late programme to arena security may not have time for a full meal. Carry only what the arena permits and refill water where available.

The KCON FAQ says an ADA information desk will be in the South Hall Lobby. It asks attendees who need specific services to email before the event so there is time to arrange them. Crypto.com Arena has its own accessibility process, so contact both venues when the day includes both buildings.

Standing in an Artist Stage crowd and walking between halls can be tiring even without extreme weather. Schedule one seated break before the arena queue. Anyone who feels dizzy, confused or unwell should move out of the crowd and ask staff for medical help.

Mobile data for KCON and the Los Angeles trip

Mobile data helps with AXS, timetable changes, Metro alerts, maps, messages and rides after the show. It does not guarantee service inside a dense crowd, and it cannot replace the live AXS ticket process. Keep the practical files offline and preserve battery for entry and the route home.

The public Roaming eSIM catalog was checked on August 4, 2026. It returned 37 United States plans. Current examples included 3GB for 15 days at $4.40, 5GB for 30 days at $6.62 and 10GB for 30 days at $12.08. Those three listed AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon, up to 5G, and top-up support. Prices, partner networks, start rules and top-up eligibility vary by package, so read the selected card before checkout. A listed network does not promise capacity at KCON.

Roaming eSIM's useful edge for an international attendee is preparation. A compatible unlocked phone can get a United States data plan before reaching LAX, keep the usual SIM available for calls and SMS where the home carrier permits, and manage or top up an eligible plan in the Roaming eSIM app. The site lists WhatsApp help and 24/7 support. That is more practical than starting the first KCON morning at an airport SIM counter, but it still does not solve a forgotten AXS password or an arena-rejected bag.

Choose the United States Roaming eSIM when the trip stays in the country. A North America Roaming eSIM can make more sense when Los Angeles is part of a route through Canada or Mexico, provided every destination appears in the selected package.

Does a Festival Grounds ticket include M COUNTDOWN?

No. The standard 1DAY and 1DAY AFTER 3PM tickets cover the convention center, not the nighttime arena show. Choose an eligible combined package or a concert ticket if M COUNTDOWN matters.

Does an M COUNTDOWN ticket include Festival Grounds?

Most current M COUNTDOWN packages do, but the 1DAY K-POP DISCOVERY ticket and arena suite tickets do not. Check the exact package rather than assuming every arena seat includes the convention.

Is there a three-day KCON LA ticket?

No. KCON's 2026 FAQ says there is no three-day option. Buy the correct ticket for each day you plan to attend.

What time should I arrive for Artist Stage?

Can one person collect wristbands for a friend?

Do not assume so. Current fans are asking this exact question, but the public KCON FAQ did not confirm a general proxy-pickup rule when checked. Plan for each person to attend with their own ticket.

Can I bring a clear bag into the arena?

No under the current Crypto.com Arena event policy. Clear bags are included in the no-bag rule. Only a clutch or wallet smaller than 5 x 9 x 1 inches is permitted, apart from screened medical and parental bags within the stated limit.
