Orange Polska adds 24 roaming destinations as UK data rises to 99 zł/GB

August 9, 2026. Orange Polska is adding 24 destinations to its Bezpieczny Roaming and GO 10 GB coverage from August 10. The new list includes the United Kingdom, Saudi Arabia, the Maldives, Tanzania and several destinations in Central and South America.

The wider package coverage comes with an important UK price change. Orange's pay-as-you-go data rate in the United Kingdom and Gibraltar rises from 29 zł to 99 zł per GB for eligible individual subscription customers and prepaid users. The replacement promotion runs through December 31, 2026.

The traveler decision: Do not use the 99 zł/GB rate by accident. An Orange customer can choose 1 GB for 15 zł over 24 hours or 10 GB for 79 zł over 15 days. A separate Roaming eSIM is worth checking when the trip needs a different allowance, longer validity or a data line that is not tied to an Orange Polska account.

What changes on August 10

Orange is making two connected changes for travelers outside the EU roaming area.

The United Kingdom and Gibraltar are still outside Orange's EU and EEA roaming zone. Joining Bezpieczny Roaming does not make a Polish domestic allowance work there under Roam Like at Home rules.

Orange UK roaming prices before and after August 10

Orange's old and new promotion documents make the UK change unusually easy to verify.

The subscription promotion applies to consumers who signed or amended an Orange mobile agreement from January 1, 2021. Travelers on older or specialist tariffs should check My Orange or their own price list rather than assuming the promotional table applies.

The data rate is metered in 100 kB increments. That makes background traffic relevant: email sync, photo backup or an app update can start a charge even when the traveler did not deliberately open a map or browser.

Which 24 destinations are being added?

Orange lists the following additions from August 10:

Use the exact list. Jersey and the Isle of Man are not named among the August additions, even though Guernsey is. A phone can also connect to a maritime or satellite network near a ferry or cruise route; those networks do not become part of the new country package merely because the vessel is near the UK.

How Bezpieczny Roaming works

Bezpieczny Roaming is Orange's renewing data safeguard for selected destinations outside the EU roaming zone. Its current consumer terms provide 1 GB for 15 zł and keep that allowance active for 24 hours.

The charge is triggered when the phone starts using roaming data in a covered destination. If no data session begins, Orange says it does not activate the day's allowance or collect the fee. After the 1 GB is used, Orange blocks further data until the 24-hour period ends.

A customer who needs more data before then can buy another 1 GB for 15 zł. Subscription users can send DOKUP to 80060. Orange also sends notifications after 80% and 100% of the allowance has been used, although a notice may arrive after the data session that crossed the threshold.

The daily option remains enabled for later trips unless the customer switches it off. That does not create a charge by itself; another fee is collected when roaming data is used again in a covered destination.

How the GO 10 GB package differs

GO 10 GB is a one-time package rather than a daily renewal. It provides 10 GB for 79 zł and lasts 15 days. Orange's updated terms add all 24 destinations to its existing country list.

For eligible subscription plans, the updated document also lists calls at 0.99 zł per minute and outgoing SMS or MMS at 0.50 zł while the package is active in supported destinations. These are not unlimited services. Prepaid users should follow their own tariff for calls and messages.

Subscription customers can activate GO 10 GB by sending GO10GB to 80060, through My Orange or through customer service. Orange says activation is normally immediate but can take up to 24 hours, so it is safer to confirm the package before leaving Wi-Fi.

If GO 10 GB and Bezpieczny Roaming are both enabled, the one-time package is used first. The 1 GB daily option starts after the GO package expires or its data is no longer available. Unused data does not roll over or receive a refund when the validity period ends.

Keep calls and mobile data as separate decisions

Neither Orange data package makes ordinary calls or texts free. A traveler who only needs maps, messaging apps and booking access can use a separate data line while leaving the Orange number available for selected calls or verification texts.

On a dual-SIM phone:

1. Select the Roaming eSIM as the mobile-data line.
2. Turn off data roaming for the Orange Polska line.
3. Disable automatic mobile-data switching.
4. Keep the Orange line enabled only if calls or texts are needed.
5. Check the Orange tariff for incoming calls before answering.

What Orange customers should check before departure

• Confirm the exact tariff. The new UK promotion has an eligibility date for subscription agreements, and business pricing is shown separately.
• Choose the data route before landing. Decide between 99 zł/GB, Bezpieczny Roaming, GO 10 GB, Orange Flex Travel or a Roaming eSIM while reliable Wi-Fi is available.
• Check whether Bezpieczny Roaming is already enabled. Starting background data can trigger the 15 zł daily allowance in a covered destination.
• Save the package confirmation. Do not assume an app tap or SMS request succeeded until Orange confirms activation.
• Turn off cloud backup and app updates. A 1 GB allowance can disappear quickly when the phone treats roaming as an unrestricted connection.
• Download arrival details. Keep the hotel address, first transport route and booking codes offline in case the local partner network does not connect immediately.
• Check every stop. A package working in the United Kingdom does not prove it covers Jersey, the Isle of Man, a ferry network or the next country on the itinerary.

Orange roaming, Orange Flex Travel or Roaming eSIM?

These are three different purchases. Orange roaming uses the existing Polish mobile line. Orange Flex Travel is a separate app-based travel data service. Roaming eSIM provides destination and regional packages for compatible unlocked phones.

Prices use different currencies and can change. Compare the final card or checkout amount rather than converting this table from memory.

🏆 Roaming eSIM wins for choice and independent eligibility in the UK: the August 9 catalog returned 18 options, from 100 MB for seven days to 50 GB for 180 days, plus daily plans. A traveler does not need an Orange Polska contract and can keep the Polish line separate from trip data.

Orange can still be the better fit for an eligible customer who wants one bill, needs the usual number for carrier calls, or is making a one-day stop where the 15 zł trigger is convenient. Orange Flex Travel also deserves a direct check because its UK packages differ from the home-line roaming prices.

The same provider does not win every itinerary. An Orange customer making a one-day Maldives stop may prefer the 15 zł daily allowance.
