SEMA Show 2026: public Friday tickets, pickup and travel

The SEMA Show runs November 3-6, 2026, at the Las Vegas Convention Center. If you do not qualify for trade admission, the public option is Friday, November 6, for ages 16 and over. Buy in advance and collect your own ticket with matching government photo ID before the 2pm pickup cutoff. A floor-only ticket does not include SEMA Fest.
Choose the admission you need before booking a flight or adding another night in Las Vegas. The exhibition halls, Friday public admission and the outdoor concert are related events with different access rules. A ticket carrying the SEMA name is not automatically a pass to all of them.
Which SEMA ticket matches your visit?
The official public Friday page distinguishes the options:
| Admission | What it covers | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| Friday public floor ticket | November 6 exhibition-floor access, 09:00-16:00 | Ages 16+; advance purchase and personal pickup |
| Friday floor and concert bundle | Friday exhibition plus the named concert tier | Bundle availability and both entry instructions |
| SEMA Fest concert-only ticket | The November 6 Bronze Lot concert | No exhibition-hall access |
| Qualified trade badge | The approved trade-show admission | Employment qualification; no automatic concert entry |
On November 3, the show website displayed USD130 for the floor-only ticket, while the SEMA Fest website displayed USD140 for that option. Confirm the actual checkout price rather than budgeting around the lower figure. Concert-only tickets and concert bundles were marked sold out on those official pages.
A listing or button is not a guarantee of remaining inventory. Use the organizer's ticket link to check the product, date, name and final total before paying. Do not arrange a non-refundable trip around an assumption that a sold-out concert option will return.
Public Friday pickup closes before the show does
Friday ticket collection runs from 07:30 to 14:00 at SEMA Show Registration in the South and West Halls. Each visitor must collect their own ticket and present valid government-issued photo ID matching the booking. The organizer says there are no day-of purchases.
The exhibition continues until 16:00, but that later closing time does not extend ticket collection. Reaching the convention center at 14:30 with a confirmation is not the same as having completed pickup before the cutoff.
Check which registration point your confirmation directs you to and how you will reach it from your hotel. Keep the original confirmation accessible and inspect every traveller's name before leaving. If something is wrong, contact ticket support through the official page rather than expecting a friend to collect on your behalf.
For an arrival flight on Friday, allow for the airport, luggage, ground transport and the registration queue. If that leaves little margin before 14:00, reconsider the flight or the visit. This is a fixed collection window, not a flexible afternoon arrival ticket.
Why borrowing a trade badge is not a solution
The SEMA attendee FAQ says normal trade registration requires an active automotive-aftermarket company and a qualifying owner or employee. SEMA membership alone does not guarantee admission. A hobby, collection or borrowed company name is not a substitute for meeting those requirements.
Badges cannot be transferred or resold, and matching government-issued photo ID can be requested. Use the public Friday route if that is the admission for which you qualify.
For genuine trade visitors combining shows, AAPEX is a different event and venue arrangement. Its November 3-5 schedule does not give a Friday enthusiast another exhibition to visit at the Venetian. Follow your own approved credentials rather than applying trade-badge rules to a public Friday purchase.
SEMA Fest is separate, including its age rules
SEMA Fest takes place in the convention center's Bronze Lot on November 6. The advertised lineup includes The Offspring, Jimmy Eat World, 311 and The Alive. A regular show badge or Friday floor-only ticket does not include the concert.
The concert is described as all ages, while the exhibition's public Friday requires visitors to be at least 16. Do not buy a concert ticket expecting it to admit a younger child to the halls. Under-18 visitors should also read the parent or guardian requirements in the show's current policies.
If you already have a concert or bundle ticket, read its arrival instructions separately from those for the exhibition. Ticket collection, hall closing, concert entry and the trip back to your hotel are different parts of the day. Keep those times together in your notes.
If you do not have concert admission, plan an evening that does not depend on getting into the Bronze Lot. The sold-out labels are a reason to check your existing entitlement, not to assume any ticket offered in a private message will be valid.
Build a manageable route through the halls
Use the 2026 SEMA floor plan to choose the exhibitors and vehicle displays you most want to see. Group nearby stops and leave room for a meal, queues and an unplanned conversation. A one-day visit is easier when it has priorities rather than an attempt to see every aisle.
The convention center has several halls. Write down the hall as well as the booth number, and choose a meeting point outside an aisle if your group separates. A hotel-to-venue journey estimate does not include registration or movement through the campus.
The show guidelines prohibit strollers on the exhibition floors. Contact the organizer about mobility or access requirements before travelling; do not assume that a personal scooter or another device is permitted because it makes a large venue easier to cover.
Ask before photographing an exhibitor's booth or products. The show policies require exhibitor permission and distinguish media filming from ordinary attendance. If you are bringing specialist equipment, check those instructions rather than assuming your admission covers every recording activity.
Monorail, hotel shuttles and the last part of the journey
The Las Vegas Monorail's SEMA guidance confirms service to Boingo Station at the convention center and an early 06:00 opening for November 3-6. Check the operator's route map against your hotel entrance, not just the hotel name. Walking through a resort to its station adds time.
SEMA's 2026 transport page lists Friday hotel shuttles from 07:00 to 10:30 and return service from 14:00 to 17:00. Check the actual hotel boarding location and your eligibility before relying on one. Do not mistake that afternoon service for a ride home after the concert.
Rideshare pickup points are designated around the campus. Follow the current transport map and the location shown in your app; a car pin on the opposite side of a hall can mean a substantial walk. Do not assume on-site parking will be available simply because a general city map shows a lot.
The LVCC Loop and the Strip Monorail are different systems. SEMA describes on-campus Loop travel as free, while trips to off-campus Loop stations require tickets and have event-dependent operating hours. Neither statement establishes a free airport transfer.
Choose the return plan before entering. If your visit ends with the exhibition, use the afternoon options. If you have concert admission, check later transport separately and allow time to reach the correct pickup point.
Useful apps, saved tickets and OpenSim data
Use the official floor plan or SEMA app for exhibitors, the Monorail's own information for rail travel, and your chosen rideshare app for its designated pickup. Save booking references, hotel details and the hall you need before leaving Wi-Fi. Keep enough battery to present tickets and meet your group afterwards.
OpenSim United States plans can support transport checks and messaging between the hotel and convention center. The November 3 public catalog listed fixed allowances including 1GB for seven days at USD1.66 and 3GB for 15 days at USD4.40, both eligible for top-up. Check the current terms and price before buying.
For a short visit, those smaller allowances can be a practical alternative to buying more data than you need. If your normal plan already includes sufficient US roaming, keeping it may be simpler. Mobile data does not validate an event ticket, bypass qualification or guarantee reception in a busy hall.
Use the travel data calculator, check phone compatibility, and read when to install an eSIM before travel. For a longer family holiday around the show, our United States with kids guide covers broader trip planning.
Sources and updates
SEMA's public page sets Friday admission and collection rules; its attendee FAQ and policies explain trade qualification and conduct. SEMA Fest describes the separate concert, while SEMA transport guidance and the Monorail operator cover travel. Changes to ticket status, pickup, access or transport will prompt an update. Check your own confirmation before departure.
