Suwannee Hulaween 2026 guide: shuttle, camping and bag rules

Suwannee Hulaween runs from Thursday, October 22 through Sunday, October 25, 2026 at Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park in Live Oak, Florida. The practical update for fly-in visitors is that the official Jacksonville airport shuttle is now available: buses leave JAX at noon and 4 p.m. on Thursday, then return at 8 a.m. and noon on Monday.

Book transport before choosing a flight. The park is rural, primitive campsites are first come, first served, and the organizer does not allow friends to hold space for people arriving later. The 2026 event map and full app details were still pending when this guide was checked on September 13.

The short plan: match your pass to the days you will attend, add every required vehicle or parking credential, complete the park waiver, buy the JAX shuttle before the useful departure sells out, and arrive with supplies already in the vehicle. Save tickets, the park address and a reunion point offline because the organizer says public Wi-Fi is limited.

Which Hulaween pass should you buy?

The official pass page currently lists four-day GA and VIP admission, a three-day Friday-to-Sunday option, a two-day Saturday-and-Sunday option and Sunday-only admission. Camping is included with the admission products described on that page, but bringing a vehicle into the campground is a separate decision.

A Primitive Car Pass is required to drive a car to a primitive campsite. GA admission by itself does not include that vehicle credential. A towable camper needs the appropriate dry RV pass, while a drivable RV and any separate car each need the credential that applies to that vehicle. Upgraded campsites include one vehicle pass, according to the current organizer FAQ.

Before checkout, write down four things: admission days, sleeping setup, number of steering vehicles and arrival day. That catches the most expensive mismatch, such as buying admission and assuming a car can enter the campground without an add-on.

Only Hulaween and Front Gate Tickets are identified by the organizer as verified festival ticket sources. The official page says sales are final and does not guarantee passes obtained elsewhere.

How the new Jacksonville airport shuttle works

The official Hulaween shuttle page now offers direct service between Jacksonville International Airport and the park. The published schedule is deliberately narrow:

One-way fares currently start at $45 plus fees, and round trips start at $80 plus fees. Those are live organizer prices checked on September 13, not fixed estimates. Confirm the amount and baggage terms in the shuttle checkout before paying.

The schedule makes flight timing more important than airport choice. Do not book a flight scheduled to land shortly before the bus. Allow for deplaning, baggage claim, a terminal walk and delays. On Monday, count backward from the flight's check-in and security deadline before selecting the 8 a.m. or noon return.

The shuttle is run by an independent operator. Hulaween directs service questions to that operator rather than accepting responsibility for delays or policies. If a wheelchair lift is required, the current page asks travelers to contact the shuttle service no later than seven days before travel and notes that lift capacity is limited.

What if the shuttle does not fit your flight?

The official travel material reviewed for this guide does not identify a public-transit chain from JAX to the festival gate. The practical alternatives are a rental car, a prearranged driver or a shared ride organized with people whose arrival times genuinely match. A rideshare quote on the booking screen is not a guarantee that a return car will accept the trip on Monday.

If renting, include the Primitive Car Pass or relevant parking product in the total cost. If sharing, agree in writing on baggage space, fuel, arrival time and the return plan. Never send payment to an unknown social account merely because it claims to have a shuttle seat or campsite.

When should campers arrive?

Four-day GA and VIP camping opens at 8 a.m. Thursday. An Early Camping Pass permits entry from 2 p.m. Tuesday, but it must be paired with four-day admission. Camping ends at noon Monday unless the park separately approves and charges for an extension.

Primitive sites are not assigned. Groups should arrive together because the organizer forbids holding space for later arrivals. If one car reaches the gate on Tuesday and the rest of the group comes Thursday, the early car cannot reserve an empty footprint for everyone else.

Early arrival buys choice, not ownership of an oversized area. Pick a legal site, keep roads open, and follow camp-host directions. The park is a tow-away zone, and vehicles left in roads or restricted areas can be removed.

The car re-entry rule needs another check

The current Hulaween FAQ clearly says that vehicles leaving the campground after the restriction begins must use day parking when they return. It also advises campers to buy supplies before entering.

The same page, however, shows conflicting Tuesday start times for that restriction in different answers. Because the organizer's own text is inconsistent, this guide will not select one time and present it as settled. Treat the restriction as beginning on Tuesday, complete shopping before arrival, and use the final attendee email or a corrected organizer notice for the exact cutoff.

Day-parking vehicles with the proper credential may come and go, but that is different from driving back into the campground. Plan the weekend so the camping vehicle can stay parked.

What is still missing from the 2026 map?

The organizer's festival map page currently says the 2026 map is coming soon. The park's general map is useful for learning the names of broad areas such as 80 Acres, River Road, Lake Camping and the Amphitheater, but it is not the event map.

Do not use a 2025 image to promise where a 2026 stage, shuttle stop, medical post or premium camp will be. When the new map appears:

1. Save a copy to every phone in the group.
2. Mark the exact campsite after setup.
3. Choose one daytime and one nighttime reunion point.
4. Note the closest medical station, water point and staffed landmark.
5. Trace a route back that does not depend on remembering unlit turns.

The woodland setting is part of the event, but it also makes "meet near the trees" useless. Use a named road, numbered marker or staffed facility.

Hulaween 2026 bag policy

Hulaween applies a clear-bag rule inside the festival grounds and concert areas. The current exceptions are precise:

• A fanny pack up to 16.5 by 6.5 by 4 inches does not need to be clear.
• A single-pocket drawstring bag or hydration backpack up to 13 by 13 by 15 inches does not need to be clear.
• Bags larger than those exceptions must be clear PVC, plastic or vinyl, with contents visible.

All bags are searched. The allowed-items list includes one factory-sealed water bottle per guest, empty canteens or bottles for refill stations, bug spray, hats, bandanas and compact chairs that fold, collapse or inflate without blocking walking routes.

Coolers, hammocks, outside alcohol, glass, drones, professional removable-lens cameras and large seating are not allowed inside the festival grounds. A cooler and hammock may be useful at camp, but leave them there before entering the performance area.

Prescription medication must remain in its original labeled bottle, with separate medicines bottled separately. Carry only the dose needed for that day under the current rule. Contact accessibility staff before travel if refrigeration, needles or another accommodation changes what you need at entry.

A packing plan for four nights in the woods

Pack the campsite and the festival bag as two separate systems.

At camp

• Tent or booked sleeping unit, plus a ground layer
• Rain cover and extra stakes suitable for the actual ground
• Sleeping bag or bedding for a cooler night
• Dry socks and a second pair of shoes
• Battery lighting for the tent and route marker
• Power banks and charging cables
• Food stored so it does not attract animals or insects
• Shower footwear, towel and basic wash kit
• Rubbish bags and a way to keep wet items separate
• Drinking water and a refill plan

Inside the festival grounds

• Wristband and photo identification
• Compliant small bag or clear bag
• Empty refillable bottle or one sealed bottle
• Compact rain layer and a warmer layer
• Sunscreen and bug spray permitted by the current rules
• Phone, short charging cable and a small power bank
• Ear protection
• Necessary medicine in the required packaging

Check the Jacksonville National Weather Service forecast during event week rather than packing from a climate average. Northern Florida can move from warm afternoons to damp, cool nights, and a forecast can still change after the car has been loaded.

Cashless payments and limited Wi-Fi

Food and beverage vendors are cashless throughout both the festival grounds and campgrounds. The organizer lists debit cards, credit cards and mobile wallets among accepted methods. Merchandise and craft sellers may also accept cash.

Add a physical payment card even if you expect to use a phone wallet. A flat battery should not remove every way to buy food or water. Keep one card separate from the phone, and tell the bank about international travel if its fraud controls are likely to block an unfamiliar Florida transaction.

The organizer says a public network will be available near the Music Hall and Country Store, but bandwidth will be limited. That is a fallback zone, not a reliable remote-work setup. Finish downloads, meetings and large uploads before reaching the park.

Lineup, schedule and official app

The first announced 2026 lineup included Pretty Lights, My Morning Jacket, Excision, Geese and three nights of The String Cheese Incident, alongside a larger electronic, jam, funk and indie bill. The WFSU lineup report described 78 acts in the first release.

A poster is not a day schedule. Do not plan a shuttle, meal or meeting around an unofficial set-time image. Hulaween says a 2026 official app is coming, but details were not yet posted. Until the organizer releases the schedule and app, keep the days flexible and follow the official site rather than a copied calendar.

When the schedule arrives, choose one priority act per block and note the walking route between stages. Leave recovery time for food, water and the return to camp. A workable plan beats a screenshot containing every artist.

Accessibility, medical care and sober camping

There is no separate paid accessibility ticket. Guests who need services should visit the Accessibility Services Hub onsite for a free wristband. The organizer says one companion wristband is normally issued per guest, with possible additional wristbands for families with young children.

Requests for ASL interpretation, captioning, audio description or other effective communication services have a September 22, 2026 cutoff. The organizer says later requests may not be fulfilled. The airport shuttle has a separate seven-day contact deadline for a wheelchair lift.

Medical stations are planned around the park, with staff also assigned to stages. The current FAQ identifies the main medical location near River Road and Lake Road, but verify every position against the 2026 map once released. Spirit Care provides mental-health or crisis support at Spirit Lake, and the FAQ also describes a sober-camping option.

Bringing children to Hulaween

Anyone under 18 must arrive with a parent, legal guardian or another adult with lawful custody. Children aged three and older need admission; children two and under are free under the current organizer rule. Adults and accompanying minors also need the appropriate park waivers.

This is a four-night camping event with late music, darkness, uneven ground and changing weather. Parents should decide whether the complete format suits the child rather than relying on the event's all-ages admission rule. Use hearing protection, put a contact number on the child, photograph the day's clothing and agree on a staffed reunion point.

Apps and offline preparation for Hulaween

• Hulaween app: use the official version when the organizer publishes its 2026 link.
• Airline app: monitor the inbound flight before committing to the airport shuttle.
• Google Maps or Apple Maps: save JAX, 3076 95th Drive, the final fuel stop and the return route.
• FL511: check current Florida road incidents before driving toward Live Oak.
• Weather app or NWS Jacksonville: monitor rain, temperature and severe-weather notices.
• Mobile wallet: keep a locally stored payment method and any supported ticket.
• Messaging app: use one group thread for arrival changes and reunion points.

Also save the shuttle confirmation, waiver, ticket account details, medical information and an emergency contact outside a single app. A screen capture can preserve reference information, but use the original ticket method when it requires a changing barcode.

Hulaween 2026 first-timer questions

1. Is camping included with a Hulaween pass?

The admission options described by Hulaween include camping, but a car or RV needs its own applicable credential. Buying GA admission does not automatically let a vehicle enter primitive camping.

2. Do I need a Primitive Car Pass?

Yes, if you want to drive a car into the primitive campground and leave it at the campsite. Satellite or day parking is a different product and does not turn into campground access.

3. Can friends save a campsite for people arriving later?

No. Primitive campsites are first come, first served, and the organizer says holding space for friends is not permitted. Groups that need to camp together should reach the gate together.

4. Is there a shuttle from Jacksonville airport in 2026?

Yes. Official buses leave JAX at noon and 4 p.m. Thursday and return from the festival at 8 a.m. and noon Monday. Buy the correct direction and leave a sensible delay margin around the flight.

5. Can I leave the campground in my car and drive back in?

Not after the organizer's Tuesday restriction begins. Returning vehicles must use day parking. The live FAQ currently gives conflicting cutoff times, so finish shopping first and verify the exact time in the final attendee instructions.

6. Has the 2026 Hulaween map been released?

Not yet. The official map page still says it is coming soon. Use the general park map only for orientation, then replace it with the event map when Hulaween publishes one.

7. What bag can I take into the festival?
