Artissima opens to the public at Turin's Oval Lingotto Fiere from Friday, October 30, to Sunday, November 1, 2026. The October 29 preview is invitation-only. For a short art trip, choose a public-day ticket, use the entrance at Via Giacomo Matte Trucco 70 and leave time for one separate museum visit rather than trying to cover the whole city's programme.

The fair's 2026 listing presents 183 galleries from 35 countries. You do not need to be buying art to plan a visit around the public programme, but it helps to arrive with a few interests: drawing, editions, a particular gallery or an artist you want to learn more about.

The upcoming programme also reaches beyond the fair. The new Moltitudini poetry-and-art project has a public encounter on October 21, followed by another at Artissima on October 31. Meanwhile, Pinacoteca Agnelli's new Alberto Savinio exhibition opens during the fair weekend. Those are different visits with their own schedules and entry arrangements.

Public opening times and the invitation-only preview

The organizer's practical information lists these public hours. All times are local to Turin.

DayPublic openingPlanning distinction
Thursday, October 29Preview by invitation onlyAn ordinary public ticket is not a preview invitation
Friday, October 30Noon to 8pmConsider the advertised Friday ticket if one day is enough
Saturday, October 31Noon to 8pmCheck whether a particular talk or activity matters to your visit
Sunday, November 111am to 7pmThe fair opens and closes earlier than on Friday and Saturday

Opening time is not a suggested arrival time for every visitor. Choose enough time to browse without needing to leave almost immediately for a train or another timed booking. If you arrive at the airport that morning, include the transfer, luggage and final walk in your plan.

Which Artissima ticket should you choose?

The official 2026 information pack and public ticket page advertise the following rates. Checked on October 14, these are listed admission prices rather than a verified final checkout total.

TicketAdvertised priceWho should consider it?
Special FridayEUR17A visitor attending only on Friday
Full priceEUR24A public-day visit without a listed reduction
ReducedEUR20Eligible ages 12-18, over-65 visitors, university students with a card or military personnel in uniform
Museum Pass or Torino+Piemonte Card holderEUR18Someone who already holds the qualifying card
Two-day passEUR35Someone who wants to return to the fair on a second public day

Advance-booking charges are listed for several ticket types. Start from the organizer's ticket link and check the product, eligible day and payable total before purchase. The fair sells through Vivaticket and has an on-site box office during the public days.

A two-day pass is useful when you want a second fair visit, not simply because you will be in Turin for two days. For a weekend combining contemporary art with a museum and time in the city, one admission may suit you better. Compare your actual schedule before paying for another visit you will not use.

The organizer lists free entry for children under 12 and for visitors with a disability and their companions or carers. Check how to obtain or present the relevant admission and any evidence required before arriving. Free admission is not a promise that every separate workshop has space.

A museum card gives a reduction, not automatic free fair entry

The qualifying card-holder rate is EUR18. Do not treat Artissima as included free simply because your card covers other Turin museums. Check the exact card and fair conditions.

A visitor planning two days in Turin asked both whether the Torino+Piemonte Card was worthwhile and whether museum reservations were still necessary. Work those out from the places you will visit, not from a list of everything the card could cover. A fair discount alone may not justify buying it; a museum's reservation rules also remain relevant when admission is included or reduced.

Getting to the correct Oval entrance

Use the pedestrian entrance at Via Giacomo Matte Trucco 70, rather than navigating only to the wider Lingotto complex. Buying online and buying at the fair also lead to different recommended metro stops.

The organizer's arrival guidance recommends Italia 61 for visitors with tickets already bought online, estimating a five-minute walk to the fair entrance. For visitors needing the on-site ticket office, it recommends Lingotto, with an estimated ten-minute walk. Those are walking estimates, not a guarantee for every pace or access requirement.

GTT's metro information confirms the line connects Porta Susa and Porta Nuova with the southern part of Turin toward Bengasi. Check the day's service and your final walking route before departure.

If you have reduced mobility, ask the fair about the entrance you should use and check GTT's lift and escalator information. A shorter map route is not necessarily the route that meets your access needs.

Keep the return journey in the same plan. The fair's closing time and the last usable metro, train or bus departure are different things, especially if you add a late dinner or another event afterwards.

Transport tickets: current prices and a useful distinction

GTT's current urban and suburban ticket page lists a City ticket at EUR1.90 digitally or EUR2 on paper. It lasts 100 minutes from validation, includes one metro ride, is for one person and must be validated when changing vehicles.

The Daily ticket is listed at EUR3.70 digitally or EUR4.50 on paper. It covers the service day after first validation, rather than a rolling 24 hours. That distinction matters when you are comparing an evening arrival with travel the next morning.

Choose based on your journeys, not just the name of the ticket. The standard urban ticket does not automatically cover extraurban buses or rail journeys; integrated products have their own scope. Check separately for the airport and any trip outside Turin.

Contactless is an option on equipped services

The GTT contactless FAQ describes paying at dedicated metro gates and on appropriately marked buses and trams. It supports the listed payment-card networks and digital wallets. Look for the reader and contactless markings rather than assuming every vehicle supports a tap.

Keep each person's admission and transport arrangements clear. One validated City ticket is for one traveler. If you are buying for a group, select a suitable group or individual product and follow its instructions instead of repeatedly tapping one card and assuming it has covered everyone.

Set up any ticket app before a timed visit. If a purchase confirmation arrives but the usable ticket does not appear, resolve that before boarding. Carry an alternative payment method and know where the station ticket machine is; mobile data does not fix an incorrectly issued or missing ticket.

From Turin Airport to the fair

The airport's train information describes a roughly half-hour connection to Porta Susa, running seven days a week, with the airport station opposite Arrivals. It displays a EUR3.70 passenger fare. Check the selected train and travel date before buying; that quoted fare is not an all-inclusive ticket to the fair.

Porta Susa gives you an onward metro option, but allow for the interchange and walk at the other end. If your hotel is elsewhere in the city, dropping luggage there first may be more practical than taking everything directly to the Oval.

For an evening arrival, check the final airport connection and an official alternative before flying. Do not work backwards from a typical journey time and assume the service is still operating after your plane lands. A cheaper flight can add another hotel night or transfer cost when it does not fit your plan.

What to see without trying every booth

The fair has general gallery sections and curated sections including Present Future, Back to the Future and Disegni. The September programme announcement also describes projects beyond the gallery stands, including art publishing, a Japanese contemporary-art initiative and the Moltitudini residency.

Choose a subject that gives you a starting point. If drawing interests you, make time for Disegni rather than walking every aisle at the same pace. If you want to discover unfamiliar galleries, choose a small group from the current exhibitor catalogue and leave time to ask questions at their stands.

Take a first pass, pause, then return to the work that held your attention. This is a suggested way to visit, not a timetable or a promise that an artist will be present. Ask before photographing works or recording a conversation.

The current fair listing links to audio guides, but the linked audio-guide page was still describing 2025 booths and routes when checked. Do not follow that older booth itinerary as a 2026 map. Check for the current edition and its language before downloading a tour.

Moltitudini: two different October encounters

The Moltitudini project page lists Laura Accerboni in conversation with artists at two venues:

  • October 21, 6:30pm, at Circolo dei lettori e delle lettrici: Guglielmo Castelli, Sara Enrico and Marzia Migliora.
  • October 31, 6:30pm, at Artissima's Meeting Point: Giorgio Griffa, Tom Johnson and Laura Pugno.

They are separate appointments a week and a half apart. The October 21 encounter is not a fair-day activity, and the October 31 meeting is not at the Circolo. Confirm admission, language and any reservation requirement with the relevant venue if this is the reason for your visit.

A named conversation is a better anchor for a schedule than a vague plan to see whatever is happening. If you choose the Saturday fair encounter, leave enough time earlier for the galleries rather than arriving at the talk and trying to fit the entire fair in afterwards.

Artissima Junior and family visits

Artissima Junior 2026 is for children aged 6 to 11, with Francis Offman leading a collective artwork project. The published description includes reused materials connected to Juventus and work in teams.

The under-12 free-entry rule and this workshop's age range are different. A younger child's free admission does not mean the workshop is designed for that child. Check its session times, registration, language and adult-supervision arrangements before building your visit around it.

Keep the family plan shorter than an adult collector's full-day itinerary. Choose a manageable part of the fair, allow for food and a rest, and agree which adult will leave with a child if needed. For more extensive family planning beyond this weekend, use Italy with kids.

Add Pinacoteca Agnelli as a separate visit

In the Lingotto area, Pinacoteca Agnelli's Alberto Savinio: Souvenir is announced to open to the public on Friday, October 30. The institution describes around 75 paintings and drawings in the exhibition, which continues into spring 2027.

It gives you a museum visit to compare with the fair's gallery format. Book or confirm admission separately and check the institution's current entrance and opening hours. Do not assume an Artissima ticket includes it or that every city-wide event listed beside the fair has the same admission policy.

For a one-day trip, choose which visit gets most of your time. For a weekend, use one fair day and put the museum on the other day, with time to walk and eat rather than filling both schedules with back-to-back entries.

If you prefer two fair visits, a two-day pass can let you return to the galleries you missed. In that case, treat the museum as optional. The point of a second day is to look more carefully, not to create another long checklist.

Mobile data for the Turin art weekend

Museum reservations, maps and transport updates are useful between venues. Save ticket confirmations and addresses beforehand, but keep a way to check live information if a route or meeting point changes.

When checked on October 14, an OpenSim Italy plan offered 5GB for 30 days at USD4.76, with top-up supported on that particular plan. It is a fixed data allowance for a Turin weekend and other Italian stops, rather than a new daily roaming purchase for each day. It is not an unlimited plan, and the top-up statement does not apply to every package.

If your existing plan already includes enough Italy data without an extra charge, use that allowance first. OpenSim is a separate-data option when your trip needs one; it does not change fair admission, enable a payment card that a reader will not accept or guarantee a working ticket app.

Use the travel data calculator to estimate usage, check the installation-timing guide, and confirm phone compatibility before buying.

Artissima sources, photograph and review dates

Checked on October 14, 2026, against the linked current fair programme and practical information, project pages, GTT's Italian ticket guidance, Turin Airport and Pinacoteca Agnelli's exhibition information. Recheck ticket totals, workshop arrangements, the current guide edition and transport changes before October 30. This page will be updated for confirmed changes affecting public admission, programme, entrances or travel.
