YG Entertainment announced the September 5 Oakland show first. It then added Friday, September 4 because of demand. Both organizer notices name Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum, and the current AXS series page lists both shows at 8 p.m.

That sequence matters when opening tickets, parking passes and hotel bookings. People who bought during the original sale may have September 5, while later buyers may hold September 4. Read the date in the AXS app rather than relying on a calendar screenshot or chat message.

The official venue page for September 5 lists doors at 6 p.m. Visit Oakland lists 6 p.m. for both nights, but the Friday venue page does not currently provide the same detail in a stable public page. Friday visitors should treat 6 p.m. as planning information and check the live AXS event screen before traveling.

The concert is at the Coliseum, not Oakland Arena

Oakland Arena and Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum share the 7000 Coliseum Way complex. They have separate entrances and different policy pages. The organizer, AXS and the venue event listing all put BIGBANG in the Coliseum.

Search results and even some local visitor copy use Oakland Arena loosely. Follow Coliseum signs after leaving BART or entering the parking complex. If meeting friends, choose a named gate or a fixed point on the stadium side of the bridge. "Outside the venue" is not precise enough when two large buildings share the site.

Use the AXS app before reaching the gate

AXS Mobile ID displays a QR code that refreshes. AXS says screenshots and printed copies of this mobile ticket cannot be used for entry. Open the ticket in the app while the hotel or airport connection is stable, then keep the account signed in.

Before leaving:

1. Confirm September 4 or September 5 and the correct seat or pit section.
2. Update the AXS app and sign in to the account holding the ticket.
3. Open the ticket once so that any account or transfer problem appears early.
4. Charge the phone and take a compact power bank only if the current event rules permit it.
5. Give each adult their own transferred ticket where the transfer button is available.

For merchandise, the stadium confirms that merchandise stands accept cards. It does not publish Oakland BIGBANG opening hours, stock allocations or a pickup process. BART is the direct public transport route

Coliseum Station is east of the venue and connects to the complex by a pedestrian bridge. BART lists the station on the Dublin/Pleasanton to Daly City, Richmond to Berryessa/North San Jose, and Berryessa/North San Jose to Daly City services. The station also connects to the Oakland Airport line.

Clipper now supports a mobile Clipper card or a contactless bank card. Each rider must use their own card or device and tap the same payment method when entering and leaving. Set it up before the crowd reaches the fare gates.

Check the train home before the show

The Coliseum A-Z guide says the last BART train leaves at approximately midnight. "Approximately" is not a guaranteed departure, and the correct last train depends on the destination and transfer.

Use this safer sequence:

1. Plan Coliseum Station to the final station in the official BART app.
2. Check Friday or Saturday service for the correct date.
3. Save the final workable trip and one earlier option.
4. Allow time to leave the seat, cross the stadium grounds and reach the platform.
5. Recheck service alerts before the encore rather than assuming extra concert trains.

If the planned route requires a transfer, the last useful first train may leave earlier than the final train shown at Coliseum. Keep a rideshare fallback and its exact pickup point, but expect post-show demand and road controls.

From Oakland Airport to the Coliseum

Oakland Airport has a BART connector to Coliseum Station. The ride between the airport and Coliseum takes about eight minutes under the published airport guide, then the pedestrian bridge leads toward the stadium.

That does not make a day-of flight risk-free. Bags, a delayed arrival and an unresolved AXS login can consume the margin quickly. The stadium does not store bags and prohibits backpacks, so leave luggage at the hotel or another verified facility before going through security.

Travelers arriving at San Francisco International Airport should use the BART trip planner for the current route and allow much more time. Do not plan around the airport-to-venue map distance alone.

Driving, parking and rideshare

The venue currently lists these parking rates:

Parking gates normally open two hours before the event. The venue recommends a prepaid pass, but the BIGBANG event page does not currently expose a standard parking link alongside every ticket option. Check the venue parking page and the official ticket order instead of buying an unrelated pass from a search ad.

On-site parking is cashless. Overnight parking is prohibited, and one vehicle receives one space. The general rideshare point is Baldwin Gate, which opens two hours before the event, but the venue warns that some Coliseum events move pickup and drop-off to Coliseum BART Station. Check the event-day map before fixing a pickup pin.

Request the ride after reaching the official zone. A driver waiting on a controlled road may cancel before the crowd clears.

The bag does not have to be clear
