Busan International Rock Festival runs from Friday, October 2 to Sunday, October 4, 2026 at Samnak Ecological Park. Saturday and Sunday tickets sold out early, so check official inventory before arranging transport. For confirmed ticket holders, the most useful late update is the journey home: Busan Metro has added four Line 2 trains from Sasang each night, and the published last departures run after midnight in some directions.

This is a large riverside festival rather than a city-centre concert. The 2026 program has 99 artists across several stages, and the park, Sasang transfer and late trains all need time. Choose the performances that matter most, save the timetable and decide which train you can realistically reach before entering.

The short plan: confirm the ticket in YES24, Klook or k.ride; save the official timetable and venue map; set a Sasang Station departure target; and keep the ticket, hotel address and meeting point available offline. Do not wait for the final song to decide whether your last connection still works.

Busan International Rock Festival 2026 at a glance

Choose a festival day by the complete bill

The headline names make the first decision easy, but they do not show stage clashes. Friday brings Avenged Sevenfold alongside CreepHyp, Lee Seung Yoon, Xdinary Heroes, KARDI and a long supporting program. Saturday centres Megadeth with Suchmos, Jannabi, WOODZ, Spacey Jane and other Korean and international acts. Sunday includes The Libertines, Songolmae, CNBLUE, Hitsujibungaku, N.Flying, Elephant Gym and a large closing-day bill.

Use the official timetable for the full stage grid. Save the image for the day you hold, then mark three levels:

1. One performance you will not miss.
2. Two or three sets you would like to see if the walking time works.
3. A final set you are willing to leave early if the last practical connection requires it.

The third choice matters. A last train shown at Sasang is not a promise that every onward metro, bus or rail connection will still operate when you reach its interchange.

The Hidden Stage can still matter without a main ticket

Busan City says the Hidden Stage presents emerging artists and can be watched without separate admission. That does not turn the rest of the ticketed site into a free event. Follow the current venue map and staff directions so that the free area is not confused with a ticket gate.

The Road to BU-ROCK zone near Hidden Stage is scheduled from noon to 8:00 pm daily and is open to everyone. Some benefits require a physical Road to BU-ROCK badge.

Busan Rock Festival tickets: verify the day before paying for travel

Regular sales opened through YES24 on July 21. The organizer announced face-value prices of KRW 266,000 for a three-day pass, KRW 193,000 for a two-day pass and KRW 120,000 for a one-day pass. The ticket notice also warned that limited inventory could sell out early.

That warning now matters. Busan Transportation Corporation's September 28 announcement says the second and third days, Saturday and Sunday, sold out early. It does not establish that every Friday product or every travel package is still available.

Check these in order:

• YES24: the official regular ticket channel and the place to verify current standard inventory.
• k.ride: limited one-day round-trip shuttle and shuttle-plus-ticket products for international visitors.
• Klook: Busan City announced foreign-visitor travel packages linked to Gimhae Airport and Busan Station.

Do not pay an unknown seller because a screenshot appears to show a valid mobile ticket. Use an official channel's current transfer, cancellation and identity rules. Do not travel to Samnak expecting an unannounced gate allocation; the organizer has not promised one.

Extra trains from Sasang Station after the festival

Busan Metro Line 2 will run four additional trains from Sasang on each festival night. Times below are from the organizer's September 28 notice. Korean transport displays sometimes show after-midnight times as 24:xx; this guide converts them to 00:xx for clarity.

The published last trains from Sasang are:

Those times answer only the departure from Sasang. They do not confirm a connection from Jangsan, Jeonpo, Hopo or Yangsan to a hotel, KTX station or another metro line. Check the entire trip in the official Busan Metro journey planner and leave a buffer for the park exit, any local shuttle and the Sasang platforms.

Build two return plans

Plan A should be the train you expect to take. Plan B should work if the crowd delays the park exit or the first train fills. Save both routes and the Korean address of the hotel. If Plan B depends on a taxi, choose a pickup point away from the largest pedestrian flow and expect availability to tighten after the final sets.

Staying in Busan is the practical default. A Seoul hotel turns the festival finish into a separate intercity transport problem. One current visitor discussion asked whether commuting from Seoul could be cheaper; the safer comparison includes the final KTX or bus, the time needed to reach its terminal and the cost of missing it.

Getting to Samnak Ecological Park

Sasang is the main transport anchor in the festival's own late-train notice. It connects Metro Line 2 with other local and intercity options, but Samnak Ecological Park is not the station concourse. Use the current festival map for the designated local transfer and entry route rather than walking toward a map pin through an unfamiliar section of the park.

International visitors also have limited package options:

• The official k.ride notice offers a one-day round-trip shuttle or a one-day shuttle-and-ticket package, booked only in the k.ride app.
• Busan City says foreign-visitor packages include round-trip links from Gimhae International Airport and Busan Station through Klook.
• Domestic intercity shuttle products are handled separately through Kakao T.

Inventory and exact departure times live in the booking channel. A package mention on an announcement page is not a reservation. Confirm the pickup point, return departure, missed-bus rule and whether festival admission is included before paying.

Travelers arriving at Gimhae Airport on the same day should leave room for immigration, baggage and the airport-to-pickup transfer. Travelers arriving by KTX at Busan Station should do the same for the station exit and shuttle check-in. A late flight or train can invalidate a tightly timed package even when the festival ticket remains valid.

Luggage, camping and the late-night program

Luggage storage closes at 11:00 pm

The official on-site storage service runs from 09:00 to 23:00 on October 2, 3 and 4. A regular item costs KRW 6,000, a large item KRW 10,000 and re-storage KRW 3,000. Card, cash and bank transfer are listed.

A regular deposit includes one provided storage bag. Duffel bags, suitcases and anything that does not fit are treated as large luggage. Retrieve stored belongings before closing; a metro running after midnight does not extend the storage desk's hours.

Camping requires its own booking

Samnak Auto Camping Site is available near the venue for stays from October 1 to 5, up to four nights and five days. The festival page lists nightly rates of KRW 30,000 weekday and KRW 35,000 weekend for an auto-camping site, or KRW 20,000 weekday and KRW 25,000 weekend for a general site, plus a KRW 2,000 waste-disposal fee.

Bookings are separate, first come and first served. Once sold out, only cancellations return to inventory. A festival pass does not include camping equipment, a pitch or a reservation.

Bu-long Night continues after the park program

The official late program is scheduled from 23:00 to 02:00 at KT&G Sangsangmadang Busan and Sasang Indie Station. Treat it as a new journey, not an automatic continuation beside the main stage. Check its current admission conditions and plan the route from the park, then from the late venue to the hotel.

Children, accessibility and weather

The official kids zone is scheduled from 12:00 to 18:00 daily and is free. Preschool children must be accompanied by a guardian, and shoes are removed inside. This does not establish that every stage, late program or ride suits a young child.

The Samrock Theme Park near Hidden Stage is scheduled from 11:00 to 20:40. Rides cost KRW 5,000 each. The organizer says adverse weather can pause operations and that some rides may restrict children aged ten and under, as well as guests whose condition makes the ride unsuitable.

The festival has published an accessibility guide with Friendship Expedition. Use that guide for the current accessible route and support points, and contact the organizer when a viewing platform, step-free path, accessible toilet or companion arrangement is essential. A general accessibility notice does not prove that every path across an ecological park is step-free.

Check the Korea Meteorological Administration forecast on the morning of attendance. Bring footwear that works on an outdoor park surface, a light layer for the return journey and rain protection that complies with the current entry rules. Do not infer a prohibited-items policy from an older edition; use the 2026 organizer notice at the gate.

The offline maps guide explains which map features continue without a connection. Give the group one exact meeting point and one time. "At the main stage" is too vague after a large crowd starts moving.

Mobile data for the Busan festival weekend

Mobile data helps with a YES24 login, the latest timetable, Korean map routing, shuttle instructions and group messages. It should not be the only place where the ticket or route home exists. A busy festival can slow any participating mobile network, so screenshots and offline maps remain necessary.

The usual SIM can remain in a compatible phone, and setup can be completed before joining the festival crowd.
