CIMAMotor 2026 runs from Saturday, September 19 through Tuesday, September 22 at Chongqing International Expo Center. September 19 is reserved for approved trade visitors and press. The public can attend from September 20 to 22, with Tuesday ending at 13:00.

The short answer: ordinary visitors should choose September 20 or 21 for a full day, buy through the organizer's current ticket route, and carry the original passport used for admission. Trade visitors should register before September 18 ends, wait for approval, and bring a business card. Save the admission code, 2026 floor plan, exhibitor shortlist, venue address and return metro route before leaving the hotel.

Admission stops 30 minutes before the published closing time. A visitor arriving at 12:20 on Tuesday has very little useful exhibition time after the security check and hall walk. Choose Sunday or Monday when the show is the main reason for the trip.
The address in the English visitor guide is No. 66 Yuelai Avenue, Yubei District, Chongqing 401120. Entry is through the Northern Registration Hall. Save that full address in Chinese and English rather than relying on a search for the event name alone.
Which CIMAMotor ticket or pass do you need?
Public visitors
The Chinese ticket page currently advertises an early ticket at RMB 50 and says one named purchaser using the same mobile number may enter the exhibition twice across the event. The page uses a QR route for purchase. It does not say that this public ticket admits its holder on the September 19 trade day.
Buy from the link reached through the official CIMAMotor ticket page. A search result, reseller or social post may describe a different product. Before paying, check the admitted date, purchaser name, mobile-number requirement, refund terms and the method used to display the entry code.
Overseas trade visitors
The English registration form asks for company, business type, country or region, name, passport number, email and role. Submission is not the same as approval. The organizer says approved applicants receive a confirmation email and collect a personal pass at the visitor desk with a business card.
The trade pass permits two entries per day during CIMAMotor. It is personal and cannot be lent to a colleague. Register before the September 18 midnight cutoff and leave time for review. Anyone still waiting for confirmation should contact the visitor team listed in the official guide instead of assuming a form receipt will work at the gate.
Media visitors
Media accreditation has its own conditions and deadline. Do not use the trade form as a substitute. The Chinese media page says eligible media could apply online until 18:00 on September 15 and describes on-site processing on September 19 to 21. Check the current media page and obtain direct confirmation before arranging coverage around that route.
Passport, admission code and gate checks
The organizer tells visitors to bring the original identity document used for registration, including a passport for an overseas visitor. Entry also involves security and scanning the admission code. A photograph of the passport or a screenshot of someone else's code does not meet that published rule.
Prepare a small gate folder on the phone:
- Save the admission code using the ticket platform's supported method.
- Keep the confirmation email available offline.
- Carry the original passport and a business card if collecting a trade pass.
- Save the Northern Registration Hall and the venue address.
- Keep the organizer's visitor contact separately from the ticket code.
Do not leave the only copy inside an app that still needs a password reset, SMS message or hotel Wi-Fi. If a code is dynamic, a screenshot may not be valid. In that case, confirm the account works on mobile data before joining the entrance queue.
How to plan the eight exhibition halls
The 2026 floor plan shows halls N1 through N8. The searchable exhibitor directory filters companies by hall and category, including complete motorcycles, new-energy motorcycles, parts, equipment, maintenance products and motorcycle technology.

The event's current activity page lists riding activities, C-Turn, gymkhana, custom-bike competition, a slow race and Carnival Night, among other programs. It does not provide enough text detail to promise a time or admission method for every activity. Use the live schedule at the event and treat social previews as previews, not entry guarantees.
A workable one-day route
Start with three must-see exhibitors in no more than two adjacent halls. Complete any fixed meeting or product launch first. Use late morning for the next hall group, take a proper food break, then spend the afternoon on activities and lower-priority stands.
Leave one empty hour. Product launches move, discussions run long and a demonstration may reach capacity. A schedule packed to the minute is more likely to fail than a shorter list with room to move.
Trade visitors should export contacts and write a one-line note after each meeting. A stack of business cards without hall, product and follow-up context becomes difficult to use by the second day.
Getting to Chongqing International Expo Center
The organizer's hotel guidance identifies Chongqing Central Park as a practical base. It says a hotel beside Line 10 in that area is one stop, about five minutes, from the Expo Center and six stops, around 20 minutes, from Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport. Those are organizer estimates, not door-to-door journey times.
Allow extra time for the walk to the station, ticket or QR setup, platform changes, security and finding the Northern Registration Hall. Use the live metro plan on the morning of the visit. Chongqing's vertical streets can also confuse pickup pins, so a taxi or ride-hailing passenger should confirm the correct building level and show the written venue address.
Where to stay
The English visitor guide describes three practical patterns:
- Beside the venue: Wyndham Chongqing Yuelai and Yachenyueju Chongqing are listed as roughly a three-minute walk away. The organizer warns that this is not a central business district and nearby dining is limited.
- Central Park: this gives access to shopping and Line 10, with the short venue and airport estimates above.
- Organizer-listed airport hotel: Chongqing Ximan Hongfu Hotel is listed with an event shuttle. Confirm the current booking, pickup and return instructions directly because a named shuttle is useful only when its timetable fits your pass and flight.
A central Chongqing base suits a visitor who also wants city evenings. It adds more event-day travel. A venue hotel suits early trade meetings but leaves fewer nearby food choices. Choose according to the main purpose of the trip, not the lowest map distance in a booking result.
Payments and mobile apps to set up before arrival
China's official payment guidance says overseas visitors can use cash, eligible bank cards and mobile payments. It also says foreign users can link supported international cards to Alipay or WeChat Pay. Card acceptance and app verification still vary by issuer, transaction and merchant.
Set up at least one mobile payment route before flying. Complete identity or card checks, then keep a second payment method and some RMB cash for exceptions. A first attempt at the expo gate or metro barrier is the wrong place to discover that the bank wants an approval inside another app.
Useful phone preparation includes:
- Alipay or WeChat: payment, with foreign-card support subject to current app and issuer terms;
- Alipay Transport or a current metro ticket option: China's government guide says overseas visitors can buy single journeys at stations and that some cities support an Alipay transport QR;
- A current local map: save the expo center, hotel, airport and Northern Registration Hall in advance;
- A translation tool: download Chinese and English language data for offline use;
- The CIMAMotor site or WeChat channel: use it for the current floor plan, exhibitor changes and event notices;
- The airline and hotel apps: save bookings, addresses and support details before departure.
Public China travel discussions repeatedly ask whether a Chinese phone number is required, whether a foreign card will bind, and which map works best in Chongqing. The official payment guide confirms foreign-number and international-card routes exist, but it does not guarantee that every card or mini-program will accept every visitor. Test the actual accounts before the trip.
Mobile data at CIMAMotor without overpromising it
