What easyJet has confirmed
The airline's summer 2027 route announcement says Barcelona will be the only direct service between Aberdeen and the Catalan city when it starts. Aberdeen Airport separately confirms that both routes are new additions to its easyJet network.
The announcement gives start dates, days and launch fares, but not the full season end dates or aircraft registrations. Treat the booking result for your exact date as the working timetable. Recheck it before buying a separate train, ferry or flight that depends on the arrival time.
Compare the whole Aberdeen trip with Edinburgh
The current local discussion is less about whether Barcelona or Mallorca is attractive and more about the total cost of using Aberdeen. A cheaper fare from Edinburgh can lose its advantage once fuel, rail tickets, parking, an overnight stay and several hours of travel are added. Aberdeen can also be the more resilient choice if a late return would leave you stranded far from home.
