An Ahram Online report dated March 24 describes a 120-day period from April 1 for Egyptians living abroad. It does not say that every foreign tourist receives 120 days. The current Telephony FAQ still displays 90 days in its expatriate answer, so the public sources are not fully aligned even for that separate group.

Do not use an expat report to calculate a tourist stay. A foreign visitor should follow the current tourist answer in the official portal and confirm the exemption inside the app or through support. An Egyptian citizen living abroad should ask Telephony which duration applies to their case and retain the response.

The phrase "on each visit" also matters. It supports a fresh tourist exemption when returning to Egypt, but it does not promise that the system will reset correctly without verification. Check the status again on every trip, especially if the phone previously used an Egyptian line.

Complete the check while working Wi-Fi and another communication method are available.
