Which Dubai-Nairobi departure changes?

EK717 and EK718 are the morning pair Emirates added in July. Its July launch notice listed EK717 leaving Dubai International Airport (DXB) at 01:20 and reaching Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (NBO) at 05:25. EK718 was listed from Nairobi at 07:10, arriving in Dubai at 13:15. Those were the published summer times. Check the October timetable rather than copying them into a winter booking.

This matters if you are choosing between the early arrival and one of Emirates' later departures, or connecting onward after landing. Flight numbers identify the announced aircraft pair; the live itinerary controls your date, time and available seats.

What does Premium Economy add?

Emirates describes a separate Premium Economy cabin on the planned Nairobi A350, with a reclining leather seat, adjustable headrest, charging point and 13.3-inch entertainment screen. The airline also names a pillow, blanket and amenity kit for the Dubai-Nairobi service. These are cabin descriptions from its Nairobi announcement, not a reason to assume the cabin is available on every Nairobi departure.

Emirates announced a newer electrically operated Premium Economy seat with a privacy screen for newly received A350 aircraft in September. It has not said that EK717 and EK718 will use one of those particular airframes. If that seat design matters to you, ask Emirates about the assigned aircraft and review the seat map for your booking. Do not pay for a privacy screen on the strength of a fleet-wide announcement.
