Hong Kong Wine & Dine Festival 2026: tickets and late returns
The Hong Kong Wine & Dine Festival runs October 29-November 1, 2026, at Central Harbourfront Event Space and Tamar Park. General pass sales start October 12. Friday and Saturday finish at 1am, but that is not a promise of a train home afterward. Choose your pass, check visitor benefits and plan the return before buying. Official festival information.
An entry-only ticket, a tasting bundle and a visitor pass cover different needs. If you want a booked dining session, check that reservation separately too.

Festival opening hours and last entry
All times are Hong Kong local time. Midnight and 1am closes fall after the evening's calendar date.
| Festival day | Opening hours | Last admission and visitor-pass redemption |
|---|---|---|
| Thursday October 29 | 19:30-midnight | 23:30 |
| Friday October 30 | 13:00-01:00 | Midnight |
| Saturday October 31 | 13:00-01:00 | Midnight |
| Sunday November 1 | 13:00-midnight | 23:30 |
The festival schedule sets the hours; HKTB's visitor-pass page confirms the entry cutoffs. Arrive earlier if you need to redeem a pass, meet friends or browse food stalls. A cutoff leaves little time to enjoy the visit.
Saturday overlaps Halloween. Keep the festival plan separate from any other evening booking rather than assuming you can fit both into the final hour.
Which Wine & Dine ticket should you buy?
General booking begins October 12. Eligible American Express cardmembers have priority booking October 7-11. The official ticketing page lists:
| Option | Published price | Included |
|---|---|---|
| Admission only, bought on-site | HK$40 | Entry, not a tasting bundle |
| Online Tasting Pass | HK$258 | Entry, eight tokens and standard wine glass |
| Online Grand Wine Pass | HK$558 | Entry, 16 tokens, Grand Wine Glass, Grand Wine Pavilion access and eCoupon |
Eligible Amex customers have a HK$508 Grand Wine Pass offer; check the card terms. Additional tokens cost HK$25 each and require a valid Tasting Pass or Grand Wine Pass. Unused tokens are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Choose the standard bundle for a modest tasting plan. Pay for the Grand Wine Pass only if its pavilion access and larger allowance suit your visit. Check each booth's redemption amount before spending; do not budget one full meal per token.
Buying on-site changes the total. HKTB's October announcement lists the on-site bundles without admission, so add the applicable entry charge. Compare the final purchase screen, not an older guide's headline price.
Can visitors collect a complimentary Lite Pass?
HKTB offers a Visitor Lite Pass to eligible genuine visitors staying for 90 days or less, once per visitor and subject to availability. Its collection instructions require a Discover Hong Kong account using an overseas mobile number and a copy of a valid travel document.
Collection at listed visitor centres runs October 24-November 1. The airport centre's distribution hours are 08:00-21:00, Kowloon's are 08:00-20:00, and West Kowloon Station's are 09:00-18:00. Designated hotel arrangements are still to be announced on that page.
Keep access to your usual number if you need an account verification message. A mobile-data plan should not be assumed to replace it. Save the issued QR code. A complimentary allocation is not guaranteed just because your flight or hotel falls within the dates.
Confirm the issued pass's token allowance and top-up conditions before deciding it replaces a paid tasting bundle.
What can you do besides wine tasting?
The official programme includes food booths, a Coffee Village and non-alcoholic choices. Browse the map and choose a few priorities; trying to cover the whole site makes the evening harder to pace.
For a sit-down meal, the Tasting Room site says dining programmes become bookable at 10am on October 12. Check the chosen session's inclusions rather than assuming a general tasting pass reserves a table.
Dietary restrictions need attention before payment. The house rules require Tasting Room allergies and restrictions to be communicated at least 72 hours ahead, but also state that preset menus have no substitutions. Contact the organizer about your specific needs; advance notice is not a guarantee of accommodation. For ordinary booths, ask about ingredients and cross-contact rather than relying on a translated dish name.
Getting there and returning after 1am
The organizer identifies entrances near Tamar Park on the Admiralty side and near Central Pier 10 on the Central side. Pin the entrance you will use, not just the waterfront. The venue has no parking or luggage-storage service under its house rules.
Use MTR Mobile's Trip Planner for your hotel station. It shows routes, first and last trains, and transport alternatives. Check the full connection: a departing train on one line does not guarantee the interchange you need.
For Friday or Saturday, decide between leaving before your last workable train and arranging a later return. Allow for the walk out of the venue and station access. Do not budget a taxi using the ordinary daytime rail fare, or assume a ferry will still be running.
An Island-side base may simplify a return if it is genuinely walkable for you. Staying in Tsim Sha Tsui can still suit the wider trip, but check the cross-harbour journey at your planned hour. Compare actual addresses rather than choosing a hotel side on principle.
If you are arriving that evening, allow for immigration, luggage and the transfer. A train's journey time is not the time from landing to festival entry. Store bags before attending. A late event finish also does not establish that you can comfortably wait overnight for an early flight.
What should you prepare before the evening?
Save your ticket, entrance map, accommodation address and return plan offline. Pick a meeting point with companions and carry enough battery for the journey home. Keep payment arrangements for transport and ordinary restaurants separate from festival tokens.
Check MyObservatory near your visit for local rainfall, lightning information and warnings, then follow any organizer status notice. An October climate summary cannot tell you whether your particular outdoor evening will go ahead.
Children aged 12 or below must stay with a parent or adult guardian, and alcohol cannot be sold or supplied to under-18s. Bring age documentation if requested for tasting. Re-entry uses a stamp at the designated gate. Official house rules.
For the rest of a family visit, use the separate Hong Kong with kids guide.
When does OpenSim suit a Hong Kong festival visit?
If your home plan already includes enough Hong Kong roaming data, another plan may be unnecessary. Otherwise, OpenSim Hong Kong plans provide a separate allowance for transport updates, ticket access and messages. The public catalog checked October 9 listed 1GB for seven days at $1.40 USD and 3GB for 15 days at $3.40 USD; both examples were top-up eligible. Checkout fees or currency conversion may affect the total.
The smaller plan can suit a short visit if your usual roaming costs more. A longer stay or frequent uploads may need more data. Neither plan guarantees fast service in a crowd or includes a local number merely because it is an eSIM. Keep your offline documents and usual-number access where needed.
Before buying, use the travel data calculator, phone compatibility guide and installation timing guide.
Sources and updates
Organizer pages, house rules, operator tools and public product details were checked October 9, 2026. We will review ticket availability after October 12 and update this page for material changes to entry, visitor-pass collection, transport or event status.
