IndiGo's September 7 press release confirms the city pair, October 27 effective date and twice-weekly frequency. It also describes the service as the carrier's first international operation from Guwahati.

Travel Trade Journal and The Economic Times both report a special inaugural flight on October 27 and the Wednesday–Saturday pattern from October 31. October 27 falls on a Tuesday, so it should not be mistaken for the beginning of a normal Tuesday service.

The airport codes matter. GAU is Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport in Guwahati. BKK is Suvarnabhumi Airport, not Don Mueang Airport (DMK). Confirm BKK on the ticket before arranging a Bangkok pickup.

Why this page does not publish one timetable as settled

Both secondary reports name flights 6E1085 and 6E1086, but their tables reverse the departure and arrival time pairs. Travel Trade Journal assigns the evening departure to Guwahati and the morning departure to Bangkok. The Economic Times assigns those same time pairs in the opposite directions.

That is a material conflict, not a formatting detail. The IndiGo press-release index reviewed for this guide does not display a flight-number table that resolves it. Rather than choose the more plausible-looking version, this page leaves the exact schedule open.

Search the chosen date directly with IndiGo and keep the issued itinerary. Check again before travel using the airline's booking manager and the Guwahati Airport flight-status page. If an onward flight, hotel transfer or tour depends on the arrival time, ask the provider what happens after a schedule change.

Book the inaugural flight and regular service carefully

The October 27 flight is a one-off inaugural operation in the current reporting. The regular Wednesday and Saturday pattern begins on October 31. A return search should therefore use actual dates, not simply assume a matching flight two or three days later.

Before paying, check that the booking shows:

• GAU and BKK, rather than another airport serving either region;
• IndiGo as the operating carrier;

If this flight connects to a separately ticketed service, do not assume through-checking or missed-connection protection. Collecting a bag and checking it again can require immigration, customs and a new check-in deadline.

Confirm the terminal close to departure

Guwahati Airport's live site currently shows IndiGo using Terminal 2, and the airport says international passengers should arrive at least four hours before departure. Its departure guide still tells travelers to check the flight status and terminal details rather than treating a terminal assignment as permanent.

At Bangkok, use the official Suvarnabhumi passenger guide and the latest booking. An aircraft may use the main terminal or a satellite concourse, with an internal train or long walk between the aircraft and immigration. A concourse is not a different Bangkok airport.

Share the final terminal and flight number with anyone meeting you. Landing time is not curb time: immigration, baggage, customs and the journey through the terminal come afterward.

Complete Thailand's TDAC before the Guwahati departure

Thailand's official Digital Arrival Card FAQ says all non-Thai nationals entering the country must submit a TDAC. The form opens within three days of arrival, including the arrival date, and asks for passport, flight, accommodation, purpose, health and email details.

Use the official TDAC website, save the emailed QR code and submit a new form for each entry. Children need a TDAC too. A traveler remaining in airside transit without passing immigration does not need one; leaving the airport changes that answer.

Prepare India's e-Arrival Card for the Bangkok departure

For foreign nationals and OCI cardholders traveling to Guwahati, India's official visa portal says the e-Arrival Card can be submitted online within 72 hours before arrival. The service is free and records arrival information; it does not replace a visa, eVisa, OCI status or another valid permission to enter.

Use Indian Visa Online or its official e-Arrival Card form. The portal warns that the government does not authorize agents to charge for the e-Arrival Card. Travelers should also follow any additional arrival declaration currently shown by the official portal for their date.

Indian citizens do not use a foreign-national visa rule to return home, but they still need the travel documents required by the airline and immigration. Every passenger should confirm passport validity and any transit requirements before departure.

Leave a sensible buffer around separate connections

A new nonstop removes the scheduled connection between Guwahati and Bangkok; it does not protect a separate ticket at either end. A delay can still leave a traveler outside the second airline's check-in window.

On arrival at BKK, allow time for passport control, baggage and customs before an onward domestic or international flight. Some transfers remain airside, while others require entering Thailand and rechecking. The ticket structure, baggage agreement and airlines decide which procedure applies.
