Las Vegas F1 2026: free Mercedes and Williams fan events

You can visit confirmed free F1 fan events in Las Vegas without buying a race ticket. Williams opens its fan zone at New York-New York on November 16-21, 2026; Mercedes brings its fan hub to Bellagio Drive on November 18-21. These are off-track activities, not free admission to a grandstand or the circuit.
MGM's November 5 announcement confirms both experiences. That gives visitors a way to include Formula 1 in a Las Vegas trip without making a race-ticket purchase the starting point. Choose your dates carefully: arriving on November 16 does not mean both fan events are open.
Free Las Vegas F1 fan events: dates and hours
| Fan event | Location | Dates | Published hours |
|---|---|---|---|
| Atlassian Williams F1 Team Fan Zone presented by Zoox | Brooklyn Bridge at New York-New York | November 16-21 | 11am-7pm daily |
| Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team Fan Hub | Bellagio Drive | November 18 | Noon-8:30pm |
| Mercedes fan hub | Bellagio Drive | November 19-21 | 2pm-10pm |
These are the venue schedules in MGM's announcement. Recheck the team and venue notices before leaving, particularly if an appearance or a late visit is the reason for the trip.
The Grand Prix weekend runs November 19-21 in Las Vegas, with the race on Saturday evening. Online race schedules may display your own time zone: an early-Sunday listing in Europe is not evidence of a Sunday-night race in Nevada.
What can you do at the Mercedes fan hub?
The Mercedes team's own guide confirms free entry at Bellagio Drive. It lists simulators, a pit-stop challenge, a 2026 show car and historic team memorabilia. Merchandise is available to buy, so free admission does not mean a free shopping trip.
This suits someone who wants to see an F1 car up close and try a team activity rather than spend an entire day at the circuit. Allow time to choose what interests you and wait for an activity. Published opening hours do not guarantee that every visitor can complete every simulator or challenge before closing.
The team's hours table currently carries a CDT label, while MGM publishes the same clock times for its Las Vegas event. Use the venue's current notice and confirm any specifically timed activity rather than applying that table's time-zone label to a Nevada itinerary.
Do not plan the visit around an assumed driver appearance. A show car, memorabilia display and public fan hub are different from a guaranteed meet-and-greet.
What is confirmed for the Williams fan zone?
MGM lists a race-car display, simulators, reaction challenges and partner activities at New York-New York's Brooklyn Bridge, with merchandise sold separately. It also mentions appearances during the week, but does not supply a named, dated appearance timetable in that announcement.
Keep the distinction between the Williams fan zone and a paid Grand Prix ticket zone. Visiting the Brooklyn Bridge activation does not let you enter any circuit zone you choose, even if you have already spent time at another team event.
The Williams fan-zone page lists Las Vegas in its 2026 tour. Its current detailed section still describes Austin, where app registration is required. Prepare by installing the official Williams app and opening your account before travel, then check the Vegas-specific entry instructions as they are published. Do not treat an old Vegas Driver Card rule or Austin's schedule as the final 2026 Las Vegas policy.
If meeting a particular driver is your priority, wait for the team's dated notice before committing your afternoon. A general reference to appearances is not a reservation, and a previous year's lineup does not establish who will attend this year.
Can you enjoy Las Vegas F1 without race tickets?
Yes, if your aim is the team displays and activities described above. The useful question is what you want to come away having done.
| Your priority | Sensible plan | Do not assume |
|---|---|---|
| See a team car and try an activity | Choose a confirmed free fan event | That an appearance or simulator slot is guaranteed |
| Visit both teams | Pick November 18-21 and allow a transfer | That their hours begin at the same time |
| Watch cars on the circuit | Compare authorized race-viewing options | That a fan hub is a free grandstand |
| Attend a party or hospitality event | Check that venue's admission and booking terms | That every event in the MGM announcement is complimentary |
MGM's release also includes restaurants, viewing parties and nightlife. Their presence in the same announcement does not make them part of the free fan-hub offer. Check the specific reservation, age and admission conditions before paying for an evening event.
Avoid building a plan around finding an unofficial gap in a barrier or stopping on a bridge to watch the track. A photograph from a previous race does not establish a permitted viewing place for 2026.
A manageable route between the two fan events
On November 16 or 17, choose Williams and keep the rest of the day for another part of Las Vegas. Mercedes has not opened yet. On November 18, both are open by noon, although Williams closes earlier. On November 19-21, Mercedes does not open until 2pm.
A practical sequence is to visit Williams first, take a meal break and then continue toward Bellagio. This is a suggested order, not an official trail or a timed walking estimate. If a published appearance later changes your priority, adjust the order rather than trying to fit two queues around it.
Leave room for the actual pedestrian route. Resort entrances, crossings and event controls can turn a short-looking line on a map into a longer outing. Save both venue names, not just a generic pin for the Strip, and agree on a meeting point before your group separates.
With children, choose one priority activity and a break instead of promising every display. Ask about activity restrictions at the entrance; a free public event does not establish a minimum age or height for every simulator. For the wider trip, use the United States with kids guide.
Getting around during race-week road changes
The RTC's current detour page warns that circuit preparations affect buses and stops around the Strip. It identifies major race-week changes for the Deuce and routes 119, 202 and 203, with full stop lists to be posted before race week. Check your exact boarding stop and return route rather than reusing a normal-day screenshot.
The Las Vegas Monorail's 2026 event guide identifies MGM Grand, Horseshoe/Paris and other Strip stations. MGM Grand and New York-New York are different resorts; a station name does not mean the train drops you at the Williams activation. Include the walk through and between resort areas when deciding whether rail helps your particular journey.
Confirm the current operating hours before planning a late return. Some published transport pages show ordinary hours while others describe special race-week arrangements. Use the current passenger notice for the day you travel, and do not assume an employee-only free-ticket scheme is available to visitors.
If driving or taking a taxi, ask for a reachable drop-off point for that date. Do not promise a driver that a normal resort entrance will remain accessible during event controls. The organizer's transportation site is another place to check for the published 2026 access plan as it becomes available.
Arriving at Harry Reid Airport
Follow the airport's rideshare instructions for your terminal. Terminal 1 pickup is on Level 2 of the parking garage; Terminal 3 pickup is on the Valet Level of its garage, not the ordinary arrivals curb.
The airport also warns of connector-tunnel lane closures through December 2026. Add that to your arrival planning rather than expecting a quoted normal-day drive time to hold during race week. Leave luggage at your accommodation before choosing a fan-event queue if you can.
For departure, check your terminal and pickup point before the final evening. Avoid scheduling one last activity so tightly that any queue or traffic delay puts the flight at risk.
Prepare your phone for the Las Vegas fan events
Prepare the Williams app before departure, keep the team and venue pages available, and use RTC's journey tools for bus changes. Download an offline street map and save your accommodation details. Offline preparation is useful even if everyone in your group has mobile data.
For an overseas visitor, OpenSim USA plans include fixed-data options of 1GB for seven days at USD 1.66 and 3GB for 15 days at USD 4.40, both supporting eligible top-ups. That gives a short Las Vegas visit a smaller starting allowance for maps, departure updates and messages between venues. The selected plan and checkout confirm current terms and totals.
If your existing plan already includes sufficient US data, another allowance may be unnecessary. Mobile data does not guarantee reception in a busy crowd, reserve a driver appearance or turn a fan-zone visit into race admission.
Estimate usage with the travel data calculator, check phone compatibility, and follow the installation timing guide before flying.
Sources and updates
MGM's November 5 release supplies the two fan-event schedules and the distinction from its other race-week offers. Mercedes and Williams publish team activity and entry information. Formula 1 provides the race calendar; RTC, Las Vegas Monorail and Harry Reid Airport publish transport guidance.
This guide will be updated when Vegas-specific entry rules, appearance schedules, opening hours or race-week travel arrangements change. Recheck the team and venue notices before building a day around one activity.
