Metallica has added 12 North American M72 stadium shows from May 8 to June 19, 2027. Fan-club presales start Monday, September 21 at 10 a.m. local time, with the general sale starting Friday, September 25 at 10 a.m. local time. Limp Bizkit and Avatar are scheduled to support every date.

There is one Canadian show in Vancouver and 11 in the United States. No ticket prices have been published in the announcement, and each city has a single announced date. Choose the city only after comparing the complete journey, not just the ticket queue: airfare, border requirements, the stadium route and the trip back after the show can change the sensible choice.

All sale times are local to the venue. Vancouver therefore does not open at the same clock time as Cleveland or San Antonio for a buyer watching from abroad.

Which Metallica 2027 city should you choose?

Fan club: Presales begin Monday, September 21. The Cleveland page lists Legacy access from 10 a.m. local time and Fifth Member access from noon, ending Tuesday at 10 a.m. or when the presale allocation sells out. Check the exact show page and code rather than applying Cleveland's time zone to another city.

Citi: Eligible cardmembers can enter the Citi presale from September 22 at 10 a.m. until September 24 at 10 p.m. local time, subject to the program terms.

Verizon: Verizon says its presale covers select U.S. shows during the same September 22 to 24 window. It does not apply to Vancouver, and "select shows" should not be read as every U.S. date.

General sale: The public onsale starts Friday, September 25 at 10 a.m. local time. Inventory can differ between presales and the general sale; presale access is not a promise of a specific section or price.

SiriusXM has also announced a listener presale on September 24. Use only the link and conditions on the official partner page. Public codes shared in social posts can be mistyped, expired or unrelated to the date you want.

Prepare before the ticket queue opens

Make the important decisions before the waiting room becomes the decision maker.

1. Sign in to the ticket account linked from the exact Metallica show page.
2. Verify the email address, mobile number and payment method.
3. Choose a first city, a backup city and a maximum total price.
4. Decide whether the group accepts standard seats, general admission or a premium package.
5. Confirm that the card can handle a large online transaction and foreign-currency charge if relevant.

• Enhanced Experiences can include early entry, a stage tour, the Black Box Lounge, a Snake Pit pass or access to a meet-and-greet or group discussion, depending on the selected package.
• Lux Aeterna Private Platforms are sold for groups of up to eight and include hospitality elements.
• The I Disappear Ticket is intended for fans attending multiple shows.
• Market-specific travel packages can combine a hotel, ticket option, merchandise and transport.

Read the inclusions for the exact product. A package that mentions early entry is not automatically a reserved rail position, and a lounge does not necessarily provide a separate concert view. Metallica also says it will try to run fan-club Snake Pit and meet-and-greet contests, but those contests may not be possible in every city.

Travel packages versus booking the trip yourself

An official travel package can be useful when the hotel and stadium transport remove the hardest parts of a city you do not know. Its value comes from the complete route, not from assuming it is the cheapest option.

Before choosing one, compare:

• Which night or nights the hotel includes.
• Whether airport transport is included or only hotel-to-event transport.
• The ticket section and whether seats are together.
• The departure time after the show.

• What happens if the concert date changes.

Stadium transport and venue rules are not interchangeable

The 12 shows use NFL, college, Canadian and multi-purpose stadiums. One venue's parking or bag rule cannot be copied to the next.

For example, the Alamodome event page currently says parking information and event-day box-office hours are still to be announced. It identifies accessible parking and drop-off in Lot A, public parking in Lots B and C, and drop-off in Lot D. Parking is cashless, has no in-and-out privileges, and tailgating is prohibited. Those are San Antonio details, not tour-wide rules.

Final bag sizes, prohibited items, mobile-ticket instructions, gate times, accessible routes, parking reservations and rideshare locations remain venue-specific. Recheck the venue page when tickets are delivered, one week before travel and again on show day. If you need step-free routing, companion seating, sensory support or medication accommodation, contact the venue before choosing a section.

Cross-border planning for Vancouver and Buffalo

A concert ticket does not grant entry to Canada or the United States. Check the official immigration rules for your passport and route before committing to a non-refundable booking. This also applies to an airport transit that passes through another country.

Vancouver is a Canada-only concert trip unless you deliberately add a U.S. segment. Buffalo can be reached from Canada by road, but the border may add queueing and document checks in both directions. Do not build a tight airport departure or a fixed pickup around an ordinary late-night driving estimate.

If the group will attend shows in both countries, keep each person's passport, authorization and ticket details separate. One traveler being admitted does not establish that the whole group is eligible.

Apps and offline preparation for an M72 stadium show
