Should you choose GA or VIP for Movement 2027?

GA is the practical choice for visitors who want access to the stages, art, food vendors, water refill points, lockers and charging without paying for premium areas. VIP is mainly an on-site comfort upgrade.

How to get from Detroit Metro Airport to downtown

Detroit Metro Airport is about 20 miles from downtown, and the most useful public option is the Detroit Air Xpress, or DAX. The current official timetable lists 16 daily round trips between both DTW terminals and Washington Boulevard at State Street.

Advance tickets currently cost $6, while boarding without an advance ticket costs $8, subject to availability. The scheduled ride is usually about 30 to 45 minutes, but road conditions can change that. DAX has luggage space, Wi-Fi and charging ports.

At DTW, DAX uses the Ground Transportation Center at Evans Terminal and the departures level near Door 1 at McNamara Terminal. Downtown, the stop is close to other public transport, but it is not at Hart Plaza. Allow time to walk, use the People Mover or complete a short local transfer.
