Roaming eSIM is now OpenSim. We chose the name because it captures what we want a connection to give you: more freedom to get on with your plans, and to change them.
When you arrive somewhere unfamiliar, mobile data can make a small but immediate difference. You can find the right entrance, translate a question or tell someone you have arrived. Once those things are sorted, you have more attention for the place and the people around you.
That is the idea behind OpenSim. Connectivity opens opportunities by making it easier to take the next step.
What we mean by open
Travel rarely follows a plan exactly. Sometimes you want to stay longer, take a different route or book something you only discovered that morning. A working connection helps you check what is possible and decide for yourself.
There are bigger moments, too. Visiting family far from home. Traveling for work. Spending time somewhere you have always wanted to see. We want getting online to be an easy part of those experiences.
The opportunity belongs to you. Our part is practical: helping you find mobile data that fits where you are going, with information you can understand and someone to turn to when you need help.
That is what "open" means to us. Having options, and feeling able to use them.
Why we chose OpenSim
Roaming eSIM is part of our history. It is the name under which people first found us, bought a plan and trusted us with a connection away from home.
We wanted our new name to say something about why that connection matters. OpenSim is short and easy to say. It keeps the connection to our product while leaving room for the possibilities that bring people to it.
The new name also gives us a useful question to keep asking: are we making this easier for the person using it?
That applies to how we explain a plan, how the website feels and how we answer a support question. A new logo is a visible change. The work of making the service clearer continues every day.
A new look with room to breathe
You will see green signal bars, a fresh OpenSim wordmark and hot-air balloons in our new artwork.
The signal bars keep mobile connectivity at the center of the design. The balloons bring a sense of possibility: looking beyond the familiar, with room to see where you might go next.
We wanted the brand to feel approachable, with clear information and space to find what you need. Whether you are comparing a destination plan or checking the coverage of a global eSIM, the useful details should be easy to find.

When someone chooses OpenSim, they usually have something more interesting to do than think about mobile data. They might be visiting family, taking a break or getting started somewhere new. I want us to respect that.
For me, "open" is a promise to keep making things easier to understand and easier to use. That means explaining our plans clearly, being available when help is needed, and listening when something could work better.
My hope is that our connection gives you one less thing to worry about and a little more freedom to see what happens next.

What changes for existing customers?
Our name, website and visual identity are changing. The business behind your service stays the same.
Our website is now www.getopensim.com. Use your existing account email to sign in. The rebrand itself does not require you to delete an installed eSIM; keep following your plan's validity and usage terms.
Some app-store listings and older messages may still show Roaming eSIM during the change. If you are unsure about anything, you can reach us at [email protected].
