TAEMIN North America tour postponed: tickets and travel

TAEMIN's six North American LiMiNaL concerts scheduled for October 12 to 23, 2026 have been postponed. They have not been cancelled. The tour team says new dates and venues are being arranged, but neither has been announced. Ticket holders can request a refund through the original point of purchase.

The reason given is continuing uncertainty around US visas and administrative processing for a significant number of key tour and production staff. The notice does not say that TAEMIN personally has a visa problem.

What to do now: find the order in the account used to buy it, save the postponement message, and decide separately about the concert ticket and each travel booking. The original announcement described this as the North American run, although all six dates in that run were in the United States. No replacement city, venue or date is confirmed merely because an old event page remains online.

Prudential Center now labels the Newark event postponed and says it is working with the artist's team on a rescheduled date. It advises ticket holders to monitor the artist, venue and original point of purchase. At the same research check, the main tour site and several other listings still displayed the original dates. That mismatch is a reason to rely on the postponement notice, not a reason to assume one city is proceeding.

Is the TAEMIN tour cancelled or postponed?

It is postponed. That distinction matters.

A cancellation normally ends the event and triggers the seller's cancellation process. A postponement means the organizer intends to rearrange the event. TAEMIN's team says the North American leg remains part of the 2026-27 world tour and that new dates and venues are being coordinated.

Should you keep your ticket or request a refund?

Keep the ticket for now when

• you still want to attend and can move the trip once the new date is known;
• your flight and hotel can be changed or cancelled without a large loss;
• the seat, price or VIP product would be difficult to replace;
• you are willing to wait without a published announcement date.

Consider requesting a refund when

• the original trip was possible only on those October dates;
• you cannot leave work, school or caregiving dates open indefinitely;
• keeping the ticket would prevent you from recovering other bookings;

• you are comfortable buying again if the replacement date works.

Requesting a refund may give up the ticket, seat or package attached to the order. Do not click through until the seller shows what will be surrendered and whether the action is final.

How to request a TAEMIN tour refund

The postponement notice says refunds are available on request through the original point of purchase and that the ticket platforms will provide the process. Start with the account and email used for the original order.

Ticketmaster orders

San Jose, Chicago and Newark were sold through Ticketmaster in the original AEG announcement. Ticketmaster's current US help says an eligible order displays a Request Refund button when the event organizer has approved refunds. Sign in, open My Tickets, select the event and read the order-specific options.

Do not rely on a generic help article alone. If the button has not appeared, retain the order and postponement message, check the event page, and use Ticketmaster support from the signed-in account. The organizer controls event-specific eligibility.

AXS orders

Los Angeles, Las Vegas and Grand Prairie were sold through AXS. AXS says tickets for a postponed event automatically roll into the new date once it is confirmed. Its refund help says approved, qualifying orders receive email instructions or show a refund link in the AXS account, usually with a submission deadline.

Open the exact order rather than using the public listing as the decision screen. AXS also warns that resale, transfer and other special transactions can be handled differently.

Box office, resale and transferred tickets

If you bought at a venue box office, contact that box office. If you bought from a resale marketplace, ask that marketplace how a postponement and an optional refund apply to your transaction. Do not ask the venue to refund a seller it did not charge.

For a transferred ticket, the original purchaser may remain the person whose payment method or account controls a refund. Keep communication with that person in writing and use the ticket platform's own transfer guidance.

What happens to VIP packages and add-ons?

Do not assume that a concert ticket decision automatically settles VIP, parking, insurance, merchandise or another add-on. These may have separate merchants and terms.

1. Save the official postponement notice and every seller email.
2. Confirm the original ticket seller and the account holding the order.
3. Check whether a ticket-refund option has a deadline, but do not submit it yet.
4. List each flight, hotel and ground booking with its change and cancellation deadline.
5. Act first on the travel booking whose penalty increases soonest.
6. Decide whether to keep or refund the ticket after the travel exposure is clear.
7. Save confirmation numbers and screenshots offline.
8. Monitor only the artist, venue and original seller for the rescheduled show.

If two people paid for different parts of the trip, agree who controls each booking before anyone makes a change. A refund to the original payment method may not reach the traveler who currently holds the ticket.

Are other LiMiNaL tour dates affected?

The September 29 notice addresses the scheduled North American performances. It does not, by itself, cancel or postpone another tour leg. When will the new TAEMIN North America dates be announced?
