The ticket is tied to a named venue or designated area. It is not a pass to enter any waterfront location. Check the venue name on the confirmation, then use the organizer's access instructions for that exact place.

There are no same-day tickets at the gates. The organizer also says visitors must not stop or stand on roads and sidewalks around the launch area. A distant glimpse from elsewhere in Tokyo may be possible, but that is not an official viewing experience and buildings can block the low-level display. Do not enter a closed promenade or wait on a bridge in the hope of finding a free angle.

Which official viewing area should you choose?

The six broad areas are spread around the bay. Within them, the 23 ticketed venues include seated sections and area-designated sections where visitors use their own leisure sheet. The station and walking route should guide the decision.

Toyosu

Odaiba

Odaiba is the most familiar bayfront name for many visitors, but it is not a free public viewing zone on festival night. Ticketed venues use stations including Tokyo Teleport, Odaiba-Kaihinkoen and Daiba. The area also has some of the event's most significant road and pedestrian controls.

The Rainbow Bridge pedestrian promenade is due to close from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. Odaiba roads face restrictions from about 3:30 to 8:10 p.m. A hotel in Odaiba can simplify the trip only if your route to it remains open and the room itself has a confirmed view. Harumi

Harumi venues generally use Kachidoki or Tsukishima. This can work well from central Tokyo, but several bridges and the Ring Road 2 corridor are affected. The Harumi and Toyosu bridges are scheduled to close to pedestrians from 3:30 to 8:10 p.m., while Triton Bridge has a much longer closure from 2:00 to 11:00 p.m.

Do not assume you can walk across the bay to another station after the show. Follow the exit route assigned to the venue, even if a map suggests a shorter line across a bridge.

Takeshiba and Shibaura

These Minato venues are convenient for accommodation near Hamamatsucho, Daimon and Tamachi. Takeshiba is served by Yurikamome as well as the nearby JR and subway stations. Shibaura-futo and Tamachi serve the Shibaura side.

They are also affected by expressway, local-road and bus changes. Treat a central location as a simpler starting point, not a guarantee of a quick exit.

General ticket face values run from JPY 5,000 to JPY 10,000, before ticketing and delivery fees. Some products are reserved seats. Others give access to a designated area where each person uses a small leisure-sheet space of roughly 1 metre by 0.8 metres. The organizer does not provide the sheet.

General sales opened on September 9 and run until 10:00 a.m. on October 24 or until inventory sells out.
