Viva adds Andorra, Iraq and the Philippines to VOYAGE
Viva added Andorra, Iraq and the Philippines to its VOYAGE roaming service on September 11, 2026. Viva subscribers can now use 1-day and 30-day VOYAGE data packages in all three countries instead of relying only on the standard roaming rate.
The announcement is live, but one important detail is still catching up. Viva's main VOYAGE page did not show any of the three countries in its package tables when checked on September 13. Travelers should therefore confirm the exact allowance, partner network and activation result in My Viva or with Viva support before using mobile data abroad.
The traveler answer: Existing Viva customers now have another way to keep their Armenian line active while using data in Andorra, Iraq or the Philippines. Do not assume every generic VOYAGE allowance applies to all three destinations until the live table identifies them.
What Viva announced for the three new countries
Viva's September 11 announcement confirms two package durations for Andorra, Iraq and the Philippines:
- a 1-day VOYAGE package; and
- 30-day VOYAGE packages.
The same announcement gives the rate outside VOYAGE in those countries: AMD 7 per MB of data and AMD 35 per outgoing SMS. At AMD 7 per MB, just 100MB of pay-as-you-go data costs AMD 700. That makes package activation worth checking before a phone begins background syncing.
Viva did not publish the partner networks, 4G or 5G availability, hotspot rules, incoming-call prices or outgoing-call prices in the announcement. Those details should not be inferred from its coverage in other countries.
The current VOYAGE package menu
Viva's current VOYAGE service page lists three 30-day choices across its service:

It also lists a standard daily option of 100MB for AMD 500, plus different daily allowances for a few named countries and networks. That variation is why the generic daily figure should not be assigned to Andorra, Iraq or the Philippines until Viva adds them to the live table or confirms the allowance directly.
Unused data from a 30-day package can be used on another trip during the same 30-day validity period. It does not roll forward beyond that period.
Activate roaming and the package before using data
Viva says roaming must be active before VOYAGE can be used. Its current guidance recommends My Viva, while the service page also lists these USSD routes:
*106*1#for the daily package with automatic prolongation;*107*1000#for the 1,000MB 30-day package with automatic prolongation;*107*5000#for the 5,000MB 30-day package with automatic prolongation; and*107*8000#for the 8,000MB 30-day package with automatic prolongation.
The service page says charging begins when the phone first accesses the Internet on a supported roaming network. Simply enabling the service does not trigger the package fee.
That distinction can be hard to control if the phone restores photos, downloads app updates or refreshes email immediately after airplane mode is switched off. Turn off automatic downloads, save offline maps and check the active package before selecting the Viva line for mobile data.
Automatic prolongation needs attention
The published activation commands turn on automatic prolongation. Viva provides *106*0# to stop the daily package renewal and *107*0# to stop 30-day package renewal.
This is not only a future billing detail. Viva's terms say a package may prolong after its validity ends or its included data is used when the account has enough balance or credit. If prolongation cannot occur, Internet use can continue at the tariff of the visited network.
Check the remaining allowance in My Viva or through the relevant USSD menu. If no more data is needed, switch mobile data away from the Viva line and turn off automatic prolongation before the next renewal condition is reached.

The live destination table still needs an update
Viva's announcement says the three destinations are available now. Its main VOYAGE page says the service covers more than 80 countries, but searches of the live page on September 13 returned no entries for Andorra, Iraq or the Philippines.
That does not cancel the announcement. It does mean a traveler cannot yet use the public table to answer three practical questions:
- Which local network should the phone select?
- Which daily allowance applies in each country?
- Are all three 30-day allowances available in every new destination?
The safest check is inside My Viva while still on reliable Wi-Fi. If the destination or package does not appear, contact Viva before allowing that line to use data. Save the response and the package status for the trip.
Viva roaming or a separate Roaming eSIM
Viva has the clearer fit for a current subscriber who wants to keep the Armenian line in use and prefers one home-carrier account. VOYAGE also lets the subscriber retain the Viva number for calls and SMS, although call charges remain separate and were not stated in the September 11 announcement.
A separate travel eSIM has a different advantage. It can be bought without holding a Viva subscription, and it lets the traveler assign mobile data to a second line while keeping the home SIM available for messages or verification codes. 🏆 Roaming eSIM edge: visible plan details before checkout. On September 13, Roaming eSIM's public country pages showed the allowance, validity, retail price, listed network generations, named local operators and top-up status for individual plans in all three destinations. Viva's expansion announcement did not yet expose those destination-specific fields in its live VOYAGE table.
This is a transparency advantage, not a promise of stronger reception. Terrain, buildings, congestion, the selected local operator and the phone still affect service.

The public Roaming eSIM catalog was checked on September 13, 2026. Prices and availability can change, and the final checkout total may include fees or currency conversion.

An operator or network generation shown in a package record is not a guarantee of that signal at every mountain road, city block or island. Compare the live plan again before paying. If an itinerary continues across borders, a regional plan may be useful, but only when every country appears in the selected package's coverage list.

The September 11 announcement addresses Viva subscribers. The account must have roaming available and the selected package must appear as active before mobile data use.
Is the expansion available now?
Yes. Viva says the 1-day and 30-day packages are now available in all three countries. Its live package table had not yet added their names when checked on September 13.
How much daily data is included in each new country?
Viva has not assigned a destination-specific daily allowance in the public table yet. Do not assume the generic 100MB amount applies. Confirm the figure in My Viva or with support.
Which 30-day VOYAGE package should I activate?
The current service menu lists 1,000MB, 5,000MB and 8,000MB choices. Confirm that the chosen option is offered for the destination before activating it, because the new-country announcement does not map each allowance to each country.
When does the VOYAGE charge begin?
Viva says the fee is charged when the phone first accesses the Internet on a supported roaming network. Enabling the service alone does not start billing.
Does a VOYAGE package renew automatically?
The published activation commands enable automatic prolongation. Use Viva's deactivation command or My Viva if renewal is not wanted, and confirm the status before the package expires or runs out.
What happens when the package data is used up?
Viva says the package may prolong if the account has enough balance or credit. If it cannot prolong, Internet access can continue at the visited network's tariff, so switch the data line off rather than assuming service will stop.
Which partner networks, speeds and hotspot rules apply?
The September 11 announcement does not state them, and the live VOYAGE table did not yet identify the three countries. Confirm the local network, available generation and tethering policy before depending on a hotspot or remote-work connection.
Does VOYAGE include calls, SMS or a new local number?
VOYAGE is a roaming data service on the existing Viva line, so it does not create a new local number. Viva states AMD 35 per outgoing SMS outside VOYAGE in the three countries. The announcement does not state call prices.
When is a separate Roaming eSIM the better fit?
It is the more practical option when the traveler is not a Viva subscriber, wants a separate data line, or wants to see plan-specific allowance, validity, listed operators and top-up status before checkout.
