Autumn trees and buildings in Whistler Village in October 2017

Whistler Cornucopia runs November 5-15, 2026. Book the individual events you want, rather than assuming one day ticket covers the festival. All events are 19+, and an evening tasting needs a confirmed journey home or an overnight stay: winter shuttle schedules do not necessarily operate during these dates.

The 30th edition brings wine tastings, chef demonstrations and restaurant dinners to Whistler Conference Centre and venues around the village. Tourism Whistler's November 3 announcement describes more than 100 events over 11 days, including a collaborative anniversary dinner, CRUSH Grand Tasting and a closing Brunch League party.

For a first visit, start with one event you genuinely want to attend. A cooking demonstration, a walk-around tasting and a seated wine dinner make very different evenings.

Choose individual events before booking your stay

Use the official schedule to filter by date, event type and budget. Each booking has its own time, location and inclusions. Allow a proper meal break and time to change venues rather than filling every available slot.

Event choiceWhat it suitsCheck before paying
Signature tastingComparing wines or drinks while moving between stationsFood inclusions, seating and standard versus early entry
Drink seminarLearning about a particular wine, spirit or tasting techniqueFixed start time and whether food is included
Culinary StageWatching a chef demonstrate a dish or techniqueExact session description and tasting inclusions
Restaurant or bar eventA specific menu, producer or smaller settingRestaurant address, seating time and dietary arrangements

The opening BC House Party was marked sold out on November 5. Several restaurant dinners and seminars also had sold-out labels. A festival overview advertising an event is not a promise that tickets remain available, and door sales are not guaranteed.

Choose an alternative you would enjoy before booking non-refundable travel. Do not assume that arriving in Whistler will produce a spare ticket for the headline event.

CRUSH or the anniversary dinner: which fits your evening?

The 30th Dinner with Reception is on Friday, November 6, from 7pm to 11pm, at Whistler Conference Centre, 4010 Whistler Way. The advertised ticket is CAD 249. It begins with a wine reception before a seated multi-course dinner with paired beverages. This edition takes the place traditionally occupied by Cellar Door, so returning visitors should read the new format rather than expect the old event.

CRUSH Grand Tasting is on Saturday, November 7, from 8:30pm to 11pm, at the same venue, advertised at CAD 99. It is a walk-around wine tasting with culinary bites included, not a seated dinner. The event description says seating is limited and dietary requirements cannot be guaranteed at individual stations.

CRUSH's dedicated description places early entry one hour before the main doors, while the tourism overview lists 7:45pm. The schedule lists 7:30pm for the separate early-entry product and marked it sold out on November 5. Existing early-entry holders should confirm their ticket time with the organizer; a standard ticket does not grant the earlier access.

If you need a seat throughout an event, ask before booking CRUSH. Its listing describes elevator access to the Conference Centre's function levels and an accessible washroom, but that does not establish the arrangements at every restaurant venue.

Compare the complete hotel package, not only its ticket discount

Tourism Whistler's Cornucopia packages combine accommodation with selected Signature Event tickets. The listed CRUSH package ticket is CAD 79, compared with CAD 99 separately; the anniversary dinner ticket is CAD 225 in a package, compared with CAD 249 separately.

Those are ticket-component differences of CAD 20 and CAD 24. They are not the total price of a stay. Compare the final accommodation-and-ticket quote against the room you would otherwise book, including occupancy, taxes, fees and cancellation terms.

The page also advertises a CAD 100 dining credit for qualifying stays of three or more nights at participating restaurants. Check the current package conditions before treating that credit as money you will use. A longer stay bought only to obtain a voucher can cost more overall.

Age, food and ticket rules that affect your booking

The Cornucopia FAQ makes all events 19+, excluding under-19s from the whole Conference Centre during events. Bring valid government-issued ID; two pieces may be requested.

Seminars include food only when specified. Confirm dietary needs with the venue. Non-drinkers pay the same price; alcohol-free choices vary.

Sales are generally final, but tickets can transfer to eligible guests without resale above face value. Organizer cancellations have a stated 2026 exception: refund minus 5%, within 45 days. Optional refund protection has separate terms.

Advertised prices include GST. Check gratuity and the checkout total. Restaurants use guest lists, so keep your confirmation.

For a family holiday, choose separate activities through the Canada with kids guide. A food event is not automatically suitable for children.

Getting from Vancouver to Cornucopia without using the wrong timetable

Tourism Whistler's shuttle guide estimates about two hours from downtown Vancouver and 2.5-3 hours from YVR, depending on weather and traffic. Its seasonal tables matter more than an operator's general statement that it serves Whistler.

For Cornucopia's dates, the guide lists the following southbound examples:

ServiceApplicable published periodLatest listed village departure in that table
Whistler Shuttle to YVRApril 20-November 255pm
YVR Skylynx via downtown VancouverApril 18-November 217pm
Epic Rides to downtown VancouverSeptember 14-November 197pm

These departures are too early for an event ending at 11pm. Check the operator's booking calendar for your date, pickup point and destination before buying an evening event ticket. An airport service and a downtown service are not interchangeable.

The separate Whistler Shuttle downtown timetable is labelled winter only and begins November 26, 2026, after Cornucopia. Its later peak-winter departure cannot solve a November 7 return journey.

An overnight stay avoids having to leave midway through a tasting. Otherwise arrange a confirmed private transfer or a designated driver before the event. Mobile data can help you contact a booked operator, but it cannot create a late bus or make drinking and driving acceptable.

Match the venue to the booking, and leave time between events

Many sessions use Whistler Conference Centre, but restaurant events are spread around the resort. The Fairmont Cornucopia page places its Murder Mystery Dinner on November 8, from 6pm to 10pm, at Fairmont Chateau Whistler. Its November 14 Tasteful Table event is at The Chalet. Neither should be treated as another room inside the Conference Centre.

Save the full venue address beside each confirmation. For a dinner, plan around the seating time; for a seminar, arrive before the presentation starts. Leave a gap large enough for the actual walk or taxi journey, collecting a coat and finding the entrance.

Contact each venue about step-free access, seating or dietary requirements that determine whether you can attend. Broad resort accessibility information is not a substitute for the arrangements at your booked event.

Do not build a Cornucopia trip around guaranteed skiing

Tourism Whistler's November visitor update gives November 20 as Whistler Blackcomb's planned opening, subject to conditions. That is after the festival's November 15 finish. Plan Cornucopia as a food-and-drink trip, with separately confirmed daytime activities.

Pack a waterproof outer layer and shoes you can walk in between venues. Check current weather and road conditions before setting out, especially if a rental car is involved. A historical photograph of a snowy Whistler is not evidence of conditions during your visit.

For a later cultural trip, the separate Whistler Film Festival guide covers December 2-6. Its screenings and winter transport dates are different bookings.

Keep tickets and pickup details available away from hotel Wi-Fi

Before leaving your accommodation, save event confirmations, the venue address and your return pickup instructions. Cornucopia accepts a clearly scannable ticket screenshot, while recommending access to the original email. A printed ticket is another option. Keep enough phone battery for the journey home.

Use the official schedule in your browser for event changes, your booked transport operator's service for pickup details, and downloaded maps for walking. Save a second meeting point with your travel companion in case one phone loses reception.

For an international visitor without suitable Canadian roaming, OpenSim Canada plans provide a separate data allowance for maps, booking messages and travel updates. On November 5, the catalog listed 1 GB for seven days at USD 5.56 and 10 GB for 30 days at USD 19.80, both eligible for top-up. The smaller fixed allowance can suit a short festival visit; the longer plan can cover a wider Vancouver-and-Whistler trip without buying an allowance for every day separately.

Your existing Canadian plan or included roaming may already be enough. OpenSim does not include festival admission or guarantee reception along the highway. Check phone compatibility, installation timing and the travel data calculator before choosing a plan.

Sources and updates

Cornucopia's schedule, individual event pages and FAQ cover booking, inclusions and entry conditions. Tourism Whistler supplies the festival announcement, package offers and seasonal transport tables; the named shuttle operator publishes its own operating dates. Fairmont identifies its event locations. Changes to ticket availability, event times, venues, admission rules or November transport will trigger an update.
