Baggage must come from the charter ticket

New NAIA's notice says Air Changan plans a 189-seat Boeing 737-800. It does not state a checked or cabin-baggage allowance. Air Changan provides an official baggage calculator, but a charter contract or seller package may not match a general domestic fare rule.

Read the allowance on the issued booking for both weight and number of pieces. Ask separately about cabin baggage, checked baggage, sports equipment, strollers and excess-bag payment. Keep the seller's answer in writing.

If another airline is on a separate ticket, its allowance and check-in cutoff apply independently. Do not assume the second carrier will accept Air Changan's baggage terms or move a bag between reservations.

Check China entry before buying the Manila departure

A new nonstop flight does not create a new visa exemption. Permission to enter China depends on nationality, passport, existing visa or residence status, purpose and current rules. Yichang is in Hubei province; a traveler should not apply a special arrangement for a different Chinese destination to this route without an official rule that expressly covers Yichang.

The Philippine government's eTravel FAQ says arriving Filipino and foreign passengers generally register, subject to the exceptions it lists. Registration is free, uses the official web platform and opens within 72 hours before arrival.

Have the passport, flight, Philippine address and requested travel details ready. Save or screenshot the QR code before closing the page; the FAQ says passengers may need to show proof before boarding. A site asking for payment is not the official eTravel service.

eTravel does not replace a visa or determine admission. Foreign travelers still need to check Philippine entry eligibility for their passport and purpose. Filipino travelers should confirm the departure and arrival documents that apply to their own trip.

Leave room around connections and tours

The scheduled Manila arrival is 5:45 p.m., while the Yichang arrival is 10:40 p.m. Those are landing times, not guaranteed times at the curb. Immigration, baggage, customs and a possible terminal journey come afterward.

Avoid placing an inflexible separate flight, cruise pickup or prepaid tour immediately after arrival.
