Four nights in Bermuda: the shortest option

The September 29 sailing has one day at King's Wharf and two sea days. It is the easiest option to fit around a working week, but it provides the least time ashore. A weather change on the single Bermuda day also has more influence over the trip.

Choose it when the ship itself is the priority and four nights is a firm limit. Do not choose it solely because it appears first in the calendar. Compare the final cabin total, not just the opening fare, because a shorter cruise is not automatically cheaper per night.

Five nights in Canada and New England: the city break

The October 3 cruise calls at Saint John, New Brunswick, and Boston. It is the only New York sailing in this set that avoids Bermuda entirely. That makes it the clearest choice for travelers who prefer walkable city days and autumn conditions to a beach stop.

Pack for a wider temperature range. Boston and Saint John in early October can require a different shore-day plan from a warm embarkation afternoon in New York. The itinerary also crosses an international border, even though Boston is a domestic port.

Six nights in Bermuda and Halifax: the mixed route

The October 8 departure combines King's Wharf with Halifax. This is the compromise itinerary: one warmer island call, one Canadian city and three sea days.

It suits travelers who want both destinations but do not need two full days in Bermuda. It also places more weight on sea days than the seven-night Canada cruise, so compare how much of the Wish's dining, shows and family facilities you actually want to use.

Five nights with two Bermuda days: the island-first choice

The October 14 and October 19 sailings spend two consecutive days at King's Wharf. Both return to New York. These are the most practical choices for Bermuda-focused travelers because an overnight call reduces the pressure to fit beaches, St George's, Hamilton and the Royal Naval Dockyard into one shore day.

The ship remains your accommodation. Check the published all-aboard time for each day before making an independent reservation, and leave enough margin to return to the port. Seven nights in Atlantic Canada: the most varied route

The October 24 cruise visits Charlottetown, Sydney and Halifax. It has the most port calls of the seven New York voyages and returns to the same city, which keeps flight planning simple for travelers based in the Northeast.

It is also the latest Canada-focused departure, running through October 31. Fall color is weather-dependent and cannot be guaranteed by a cruise date. Choose this route for the three ports, not for a promise about foliage.

Five nights from New York to San Juan: the one-way option

The October 31 sailing spends two days at King's Wharf and finishes in San Juan on November 5. It is a repositioning cruise, not a New York round trip.

Price the whole journey before booking:

• Flight from San Juan after the cruise
• Transfer from the San Juan cruise pier to the airport or a hotel
• A possible post-cruise night if the flight schedule is poor
• Checked-bag costs on the return flight
• Different mobile-data needs in New York, Bermuda and Puerto Rico

Do not book a tightly timed flight from San Juan based on the ship's scheduled arrival alone. Disembarkation, immigration, luggage collection, traffic and airline check-in all add uncertainty. Wait for Disney's flight-timing guidance for the exact voyage, then add your own margin.

What to decide before paying a deposit

Compare the total cabin cost, not a headline fare

Opening prices move with cabin inventory. A quoted fare may also use a specific party size, cabin category, taxes or limited availability that does not match your booking. Re-run the same passenger count across all suitable dates and compare the final total shown before payment.

Make four decisions before opening the booking flow:

1. Maximum trip length
2. Bermuda, Canada or a mixed route
3. Round trip or one-way finish
4. Inside, ocean-view, verandah or concierge category

If connecting rooms or an accessible cabin is necessary, treat that requirement as the first filter. A preferred date is not useful if the required accommodation is unavailable.

Enter names exactly as they appear on travel documents

Disney states that passengers are responsible for carrying the documents required to board and enter every destination. The line's current passport and travel-document page also warns that guests without proper documents can be denied boarding.

The New York voyages are more than a year away, and Disney's existing document page does not yet provide a New York-specific table for this season. Do not copy the rules for a current Port Canaveral round trip and assume they will apply unchanged. A valid passport is the most resilient choice, especially for the one-way San Juan sailing or any traveler who might need to fly internationally during an emergency.

Check requirements by nationality, age, residence status, itinerary and method of return. Canada notes that electronic travel authorization requirements apply to certain travelers who fly to Canada, which is not the same as arriving by cruise ship. Bermuda's government currently says cruise visitors do not complete its air-and-yacht arrival card. Recheck both rules close to departure.

Read the cancellation and change terms on your booking

The route announcement is not a fare contract. Deposit, final-payment, cancellation and name-change rules can differ by fare and cabin. Save the terms displayed for your reservation and note the final-payment date. Travel insurance should be assessed against the non-refundable amount and the risks it actually covers, not purchased as a generic checkbox.

Which New York cruise terminal will Disney Wish use?

Disney's current announcement says New York City but does not identify the 2027 berth. Do not reserve a terminal-specific transfer on an assumption.

New York has separate Manhattan and Brooklyn cruise facilities. The official Manhattan Cruise Terminal page lists 711 12th Avenue at West 55th Street and advises public transport. That address is useful background, not confirmation that every Disney Wish departure will use Manhattan.

Wait until the port appears in your cruise documents. Then check the pier again shortly before travel. If Manhattan is confirmed, the terminal sits on the far west side, so the last part of a subway journey still involves a walk, bus or taxi. With children, mobility equipment or several bags, a direct car can be simpler, but traffic near embarkation can be slow.

Arrive in New York at least one day before the cruise if a flight or long-distance train is involved. A same-day delay can cost the entire voyage, while an overnight stay also gives you time to solve missing documents or luggage problems.

Mobile data in port is not ship internet at sea

A Roaming eSIM can connect to supported terrestrial networks in New York, Bermuda, Canada and Puerto Rico. It does not replace Disney's satellite-backed internet while the ship is at sea, and no shore plan should be expected to connect in the middle of the Atlantic.

Disney's internet and phone guide says guests connect to the DCL-GUEST network and can buy an Internet Package or Internet + Streaming Package onboard. Satellite service may be slower than a normal land connection and may be interrupted.
