Jetpac introduced Eterna on August 24, 2026 as a travel eSIM profile that can remain on a phone without a subscription. The offer includes 100 MB of general data on up to four eligible international trips a year, provided those trips are at least two months apart. Jetpac also lists WhatsApp, Google Maps, Uber and Grab as accessible without a paid data pack.
That makes Eterna a useful arrival fallback. It is not the same as a full trip plan, and the word “lifetime” applies more clearly to the profile than to an unlimited supply of data.
The practical answer: Install Eterna if the free profile is available to you and your unlocked phone supports eSIM. The 100 MB sits apart from the named-app access. Jetpac says those four apps do not consume the complimentary allowance. It does not publish a feature-by-feature list explaining whether every type of traffic inside each app is included.
“Lifetime-free” describes the profile, not unrestricted data
There are two clocks in the offer.
The first is the profile clock. Jetpac says the Eterna profile stays tied to the account without an expiry or subscription. A traveler redeems it once, signs into the app with the same email and keeps the profile for later journeys.

The four free apps still need a backup plan
Jetpac names WhatsApp, Google Maps, Uber and Grab. That list is useful, but an app name is not a technical definition of every service inside the app.
The reviewed Eterna pages do not say whether WhatsApp voice and video calls, media downloads, large file transfers or linked web content are included. Google Maps can also hand a traveler to an external website, while a ride app may open a bank-verification page. Traffic outside the named app may use the 100 MB or require a paid pack.
