Leeds Festival runs at Bramham Park from Thursday, August 27 to Sunday, August 30, 2026. The official 2026 map and set times are now in the Leeds Festival app. Search results still surface an official 2024 PDF, so check the year before saving any map.

For the first time at Leeds, a main-stage headliner plays on Thursday night. Kasabian is the announced Thursday headliner, so Thursday is no longer only an arrival and tent-setup day.

The ticket type controls almost every other decision. Weekend camping tickets include a campsite and re-entry. Day, two-day and weekend non-camping tickets do not include campsite access and do not allow you to leave and return during the same day. Check the booking before reserving a city hotel or assuming you can visit friends at their tent.

This guide was checked on August 22, 2026. KINDRED, OASIS, VISTA and WILLOWS are fully subscribed, and GLADES accessible camping is at capacity. FIELDS still needs no advance campsite booking for an eligible camping ticket. The festival confirms the station shuttle dates and booking route, but the public festival and First Bus pages checked for this update did not show a departure timetable. Recheck the official information page, app and First Bus before travel.

The current Leeds Festival 2026 site and campsite map is in the official Leeds Festival app. The organizer's app page says the app carries tickets, set times, announcements and maps. The official website did not expose a downloadable 2026 public-map PDF when this guide was checked on August 22.

Do not use the official-looking 2024 PDF that still appears in search results. It contains previous gates and campsite arrangements. Open the app, confirm the map says 2026, then save close views of your campsite and entrance plus a wider view showing the route to the arena and transport area. Save the campsite name in text as well. A screenshot is easier to use when the app reloads slowly, but the live app remains the place to check for a changed gate or route.

The map does not assign a pitch in FIELDS. Campers without a confirmed booking for another campsite still choose an available FIELDS pitch after entry. Do not infer that an old colour-name campsite or an informal map shared in a discussion remains available in 2026.

Match the ticket to the weekend you are planning

Open the Ticketmaster booking and read the full ticket name. The access rules are different enough that a mistaken assumption can strand a visitor outside the campsite or make a city-centre plan impossible.

Early entry is a separate ticket type, not an upgrade that can be added at the gate. The organizer says no individual early-entry passes will be sold later. A standard weekend camping ticket remains valid if you arrive after 03:00 Thursday, but it does not admit you on Wednesday.

Weekend camping wristbands allow movement between the campsite and arena and permit re-entry to the site. Non-camping visitors need to treat each entry as final for that day. Bring the permitted evening layer, medication and payment method before entering.

Is Thursday a full Leeds Festival day in 2026?

Yes. The arena opens at 17:00 and Kasabian is due to headline the first Thursday main-stage programme in Leeds Festival history. Friday, Saturday and Sunday still carry the broader daytime programme, but a camper arriving late Thursday now risks missing a billed headline set.

LOTUS boutique camping and ORCHARD premium camping are paid options subject to live availability. GLADES is the accessible campsite and is at capacity.

If the group already has confirmed campsite reservations, every person needs the qualifying festival ticket and the reservation attached to their own arrangements. Leeds railway station is the nearest main rail hub. The festival shuttle runs between Sovereign Square Park near the station and Bramham Park from Wednesday, August 26 through Monday, August 31. Tickets are sold through the First Bus app under the Leeds region and Promotions menu.

The public festival and First Bus pages checked on August 22 did not publish a departure timetable. Current visitors who had already bought shuttle tickets were still asking when Thursday and Monday buses leave. That discussion confirms the information gap, not the timetable. Do not copy a 2025 departure time or rely on a price quoted in a reply. Check the First Bus app, allow for queues and festival traffic, and keep an onward train flexible where possible.

Staying in Leeds city centre

A city hotel works best with a non-camping ticket when the shuttle's final return fits the set you want to see. The road distance is only part of the journey. The shuttle must load, move through event traffic and reach Sovereign Square before you continue to the hotel.

Do not assume an ordinary taxi will collect beside the arena after the headliner. The official pickup and drop-off zone is off York Road on the A64. Save that location, and confirm it again with the driver. Aberford is closed to festivalgoers and has no pedestrian route to the site, so it is not a shortcut or informal pickup point.

An international visitor considering a same-night return to London should use a pre-booked festival day coach if a suitable route is available. A train plan depends on the shuttle, exit queues and the last southbound service. Staying in Leeds is the more forgiving choice when the headline set matters.

Driving and parking

Parking is included in the price of festival tickets. Follow festival signs from the motorway rather than an old sat-nav route or a campsite pin. The organizer uses traffic routes according to the direction of arrival, and local controls can override the shortest map suggestion.

The A64 eastbound between the Fox and Grapes and the A1(M)/A64 roundabout is scheduled to close from 04:00 Wednesday, August 26 to 15:00 Monday, August 31. Sunday night and Monday are expected departure peaks. Pack most of the car on Sunday if you are camping, then choose whether leaving early Monday or accepting a slower late-morning exit better protects the onward booking.

Sleeping in the car park is not a substitute for a camping ticket. A campervan or caravan needs the appropriate pass, and every occupant also needs a weekend ticket.

Flying into Leeds Bradford Airport

The organizer describes Leeds Bradford as roughly a 30-minute drive from Bramham Park in ordinary conditions. Event traffic can make that estimate unreliable. MetroConnect 757 links the airport with Leeds, where the festival shuttle begins near the station. A direct taxi still has to use the official vehicle approach.

Leave more time on the flight home than the normal map estimate suggests. Monday combines campsite departures, road controls and ordinary airport check-in deadlines.

Pack separately for camping and the arena

There is no general bag-size limit for first entry to the campsite, but the arena allows one bag no larger than A4 per person. The organizer advises taking no arena bag because every bag creates another search.

The full prohibited-item list is long and changes. In 2026, campfires and disposable barbecues are banned throughout the site. Glass containers over the stated small-item exception, fireworks, flares, drones, large speakers, professional camera equipment, weapons and several fuel types are also prohibited. Confiscated items are not kept for later collection.

Bring an empty reusable bottle and use the free tested water points inside the arena. A sealed unopened water or soft-drink bottle under 500ml is also allowed under the current rule. Accessibility customers have different food, drink and bag allowances, so use the official accessibility information rather than the general table when an adjustment is required.

The site is cashless and has no cash machines. Put a physical payment card somewhere separate from the phone. Contactless payment can still fail because of battery, account or terminal problems even when mobile data is working.

Set up the apps, ticket and offline plan

The official Leeds Festival app holds the ticket, set times, announcements, 2026 map and personal schedule. Install it before the trip, sign in and confirm that the ticket appears. The map and set times are live, but app content can still change before gates open. The current iPhone listing is about 161MB, so downloading it at the campsite is an avoidable use of battery and data.

Large crowds can slow mobile service. A second plan cannot create capacity on a congested local tower. Location sharing may show an old position and a message can arrive late, so the meeting point still matters.

Where Roaming eSIM has a useful edge

An international visitor can buy and install a United Kingdom Roaming eSIM before flying, keep the usual SIM in the phone, and use the travel line for the festival app, shuttle tickets, maps and messages after arrival. That is more useful than discovering at Leeds station that the home plan has expensive roaming or no usable data.

Bramham Park is mainly grass with slopes, and mud can make movement harder. An accessibility customer staying in town should confirm the festival shuttle, internal transport and approved pickup arrangements as separate parts of the journey.

A first-timer plan that survives a delay

Before August 26

Open the ticket and campsite booking in the account that will be used at the gate. Install both apps, download the map, measure the arena bag, and check the current prohibited-item list. Confirm the shuttle timetable or vehicle route only after the final event information is live.

On arrival

Keep the ticket, ID and phone accessible. Expect a walk after the shuttle or car park. Once the tent is up, pin or write down the campsite, nearest AIR Hub and a visible meeting point before entering the arena.

Each music day

Start with a charged phone and a timetable saved outside the app. Carry the physical payment card, water bottle, weather layer and essential medication. A non-camping ticket holder should check everything before entering because leaving ends that day's visit.

Sunday night and Monday

Choose the exit before the final set. A day visitor should check the shuttle or coach queue while there is still battery. Campers should pack non-essential gear on Sunday, take the tent home and leave enough time for the road controls and station or airport connection.
