The local notice asks people to present an identity card, another identification document or VNeID. It does not publish a specific foreign-passport rule. Avoid resale listings. The public wristbands were distributed free, and the current reports do not establish an official paid resale channel.

Understand the venue before you arrive

April 2 Square sits between Tran Phu and the beach in central Nha Trang. The 2026 stage faces Tran Phu. Current construction reports describe a structure more than 110 metres wide and roughly 30 to 40 metres deep, with more than 5,000 seats as well as fanzone and standing areas.

That scale matters in three ways. First, the square will not work like an ordinary open plaza. Barriers, production zones and controlled entrances can change walking routes. Second, meeting at "the square" is too vague for a group. Choose a named point away from the entry queue. Third, the beach side may look like a convenient bypass on a map, but access can change during a live outdoor production.

Use the entrance shown on your wristband or by event staff. Do not cross a barrier because another part of the square appears quieter. Keep the physical wristband on until you have fully left the controlled area.

Exact Tran Phu road closures for the final

Khanh Hoa Traffic Police published several restrictions for rehearsals and the two main events. These are the periods most relevant to final-day visitors:

The final line is the important one: the central beachfront road is fully closed from early afternoon until midnight on September 5. The police also advised hotels and tour operators to avoid using 45-seat coaches for pickup and drop-off on central roads during the restrictions.

A hotel address on Tran Phu does not mean a car can reach its door. Ask the hotel for its event-day vehicle access point and the nearest street that remains open. If you are checking in on September 5, either arrive before the full closure with a generous buffer or agree on a different drop-off before leaving the airport or station.

Parallel streets may remain usable, but displaced traffic can slow them. A map app may show a short drive while a police barrier makes that route impossible. Follow local directions rather than trying to route around a closure through a small street.

Getting from Cam Ranh Airport to Nha Trang

Cam Ranh International Airport is about 35 kilometres south of central Nha Trang. The airport's current transport page lists roughly 50 to 60 minutes for bus 18 and 45 to 60 minutes for a private car. Traffic, waiting time and the final-day closure can make the door-to-door trip longer.

The airport page lists bus 18 between the airport and central Nha Trang, with stops including the 19/8 Sports Stadium, Tran Hung Dao, Nguyen Thien Thuat and Tran Quang Khai. It publishes a reference fare of VND 50,000 and a travel time of 50 to 60 minutes. Confirm the current stop and departure before boarding because event restrictions can alter the central approach.

The bus is the sensible budget option for light luggage. It is less useful if your hotel is inside the closed Tran Phu section, if you arrive late, or if standing and walking with bags will be difficult.

Taxi or prearranged car

The airport lists licensed taxi and private-car options, with fares subject to confirmation. Tell the driver about the September 5 closure before departure. Agree on the exact open-street drop-off in the app or with the dispatcher, then screenshot it. Do not wait until the car reaches a police barrier to decide where everyone will get out.

An app-based ride can be useful for the return, but a large crowd may create long pickup times and changing meeting points. Walk beyond the controlled area before requesting the car. Check the registration and driver in the app before entering.

Arriving by train

Nha Trang has a mainline railway station. Use the official Vietnam Railways site at dsvn.vn to check times and ticket records. Public travel discussions report confusion with foreign-card payments, so keep a backup payment method and allow time to use the station counter if an online payment fails. That is a payment precaution, not a claim that every foreign card is rejected.

Save the ticket, passport details used for booking and train number offline. On arrival, do not assume a taxi can cross Tran Phu to a beachfront hotel after 13:00. Confirm the open-side drop-off before leaving the station.

A realistic final-day plan

The organizer has not published a reliable public start time, so a minute-by-minute schedule would be invented. Use this sequence instead:

1. In the morning, verify the wristband, current entry notice and weather.
2. Before 13:00, complete any vehicle trip that must cross the central Tran Phu section.
3. Eat before joining the event area. Do not depend on leaving and re-entering unless the wristband terms say that re-entry is allowed.
4. Reach the square early enough to identify the correct entrance, toilets and meeting point without rushing.
5. Photograph the meeting point and send it to the group while service is working.
6. Keep enough battery for the exit and return trip.
7. After the final, walk away from the densest exit before requesting a ride.

If your group includes children, an older relative or someone who cannot stand for a long time, the missing start-time and access details are meaningful limitations. Contact the organizer or tourist support office before committing to the fanzone. A free wristband does not solve seating, toilet distance or step-free access.

Weather and an outdoor beachfront production

The stage is outdoors beside the sea. Check the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting on September 5 rather than relying on a week-old phone forecast. Wind, rain and technical decisions can affect an outdoor production even when the city remains open.

Take water in a container permitted by the current entry rules, a light rain layer and sun protection for the wait. The organizer had not published a complete public bag policy when this guide was reviewed. Do not assume a large backpack, professional camera, umbrella or outside food will be admitted.
