Museum Night Fever takes place in Brussels on Saturday, October 17, 2026, from 19:00 until 01:00 on Sunday. Buy the correct event ticket, exchange it for a wristband and choose a small group of museums rather than trying to cross the city repeatedly. Ordinary public transport is not automatically included.

The City of Brussels event listing confirms the date and evening format: museum visits share the programme with performances, installations and music. Some activities finish before the museums close, so your route should follow the things you want to do, not simply the latest closing time.

What do tickets cost today?

The official ticket page separates presale, which ended on October 16, from October 17 prices:

TicketPrice on October 17What to check
StandardEUR 22Museum evening, event shuttles and Noctis
Museum evening plus an afterpartyEUR 33Choose the named venue and check availability

The EUR 18 standard and EUR 29 combi prices were presale rates. They are not today's advertised prices. Botanique combi tickets are marked sold out; the organizer links to separate Botanique afterparty sales, whose availability must be checked there.

Online purchase remains an option. Physical sales are available at selected venues, but the Info Point does not sell tickets. Do not assume the first museum on your route has a ticket desk: the organizer lists exceptions, including MIM and Coudenberg.

Keep the wristband afterward. The ticket page includes one further admission for one person to one participating museum through November 22, inclusive. That can take the pressure off seeing everything tonight.

Collect the wristband before your first visit

According to the practical information page, the Info Point is opposite Bozar, at the Ravenstein Gallery entrance. Its October 17 opening is listed as 11:00-01:00. Ticket purchase and wristband exchange are separate tasks; Bozar's ticket office is next door if you need a sales point.

You can also exchange a ticket at participating museums during the evening. Allow time for that before a performance you particularly want to catch. Keep each person's ticket available until their wristband has been issued rather than leaving every confirmation on one phone that might arrive late.

The event FAQ says a ticket is needed even for a single museum, and museumPASSmusées does not replace it. Activities generally do not require separate booking, but that is not a promise of immediate entry. The organizer specifically warns that central museums can be busy early in the evening.

Choose a route with a backup nearby

Start with two priorities and one optional stop. Check the current programme for each activity's time and language. Add a nearby alternative before leaving; it is easier to change plans when you already know what the alternative involves.

Your main interestRoute ideaWhy keep it compact?
Making things and live musicBELvue, then another Royal Quarter venue from the programmeYou can spend time at a workshop instead of leaving immediately
Street art and large collectionsRoyal Military Museum, with another Cinquantenaire museum as an optionTwo substantial venues may fill the evening
Comics and storytellingComic Art Museum and KBR as separate prioritiesCheck activity end times before choosing the order
A rail-focused visitTrain World as the main destinationTreat the journey as part of the plan, not a last-minute extra

These are planning suggestions, not timed tours or queue predictions. If a line is longer than you want to wait, ask staff about the next activity and move to your backup. Keep the group together when changing venues; a message saying only "we left" is less useful than a named meeting point.

BELvue: clay, improvisation and music

BELvue's own programme includes a collective clay-head installation and multilingual improvised theatre, both scheduled from 19:00 to 00:30. Its concerts begin with YOKA at 20:00, followed by further performances and a 22:30 DJ-and-violin set.

This suits visitors who want to participate rather than move quickly through displays. Pick the workshop or performance you most want to experience and let that anchor the evening. The garden bar also ends at 00:30, before the museum evening finishes.

Cinquantenaire: live painting in the aircraft hall

The Royal Military Museum's 2026 listing combines its collections with live painting in the aircraft hall, engraving, stencil workshops and a paper-plane competition. Those activities are listed for 19:00-01:00; DJ sets start at 21:00.

For a hands-on visit, allow time to take part. A late arrival may leave little room for both a workshop and the collections, even when the building remains open.

Children: follow the activity, not a museum count

The organizer's family selection points to KBR's medieval copying and notebook-binding workshops, the Comic Art Museum's murder mystery ending at 00:30, and instrument activities at MIM from 19:30 to midnight. It states that children under 12 enter free.

Choose one main stop for a younger child and leave an easy way home. Check the age boundary directly for a child who is already 12, as the English ticket and FAQ wording differ. For the rest of your trip, use our Belgium with kids guide rather than stretching this late evening into a full family itinerary.

Which buses and trams are included?

STIB-MIVB's October 14 announcement confirms the event's transport arrangements. Your wristband is the access credential.

ServicePublished operationUseful distinction
Blue and green event shuttles19:00-01:00, every ten minutesLoops start and finish at Place des Palais
Event tram 92 serviceEvery 15 minutes until 01:00Connects Schaerbeek station, Botanique and Palais
Noctis night busesMidnight-03:00Useful for the journey away from the museums

The operator lists temporary as well as permanent stops. Use its event stop list rather than assuming your usual boarding point is served. Historic buses also operate on the green itinerary; check the vehicle before boarding if step-free access is necessary.

The event FAQ makes the limit explicit: ordinary STIB bus, tram and metro lines are not covered by the Museum Night Fever ticket. Buy the appropriate separate ticket for journeys outside the event arrangement. Do not assume a normal tram journey is included simply because tram 92 has a special service tonight.

Plan the return before the first museum

The organizer's mobility page provides the event map, including a version you can open in Google Maps. The blue loop serves the central and western stops, while the green loop reaches Cinquantenaire and the European quarter. Pick the relevant loop rather than transferring repeatedly.

Noctis is a city night-bus network, not a guarantee of a train to another town. If you are staying outside Brussels, check your actual final rail connection and work backward from it. Leave room for walking, a queue at the stop and a missed vehicle. An afterparty that runs later needs a separate return plan.

Eat before setting off or reserve a proper break between venues. Carry a charged power bank and a layer suitable for waiting outside. Museum admission does not mean every part of the evening happens indoors.

Accessibility needs a venue-by-venue check

The accessibility page has museum self-assessment sheets covering the event layout. Read the sheet for your chosen venue: an inclusive performance label does not, by itself, confirm a step-free entrance or accessible toilet.

The organizer says its STIB-operated shuttles are accessible but can be crowded. Accessibility volunteers, identified by reflective vests and badges, are available from 18:30 to 23:30. They can help with entrances, lifts and nearby obstacles.

The Info Point itself is listed as inaccessible. Arrange wristband collection through a suitable museum if needed, and confirm the entrance before traveling. Avoid building a route that depends on every transfer working without delay.

Keep your map and tickets usable between venues

Save your ticket confirmation, chosen museum addresses and return plan before leaving Wi-Fi. Download a Brussels map for walking directions, but refresh the live event pages when deciding whether to change stops. An offline map cannot tell you how tonight's queue is moving.

For a visitor whose home plan has costly roaming, OpenSim's Belgium plans provide a separate data allowance for maps, messages and programme checks. The public catalog checked on October 17 lists a fixed 5GB, 30-day plan at USD 4.76, with top-up support. Confirm the current total at checkout.

That is useful if you want a defined allowance without relying on venue Wi-Fi. If your existing plan already includes enough Belgium data at no extra cost, there may be no need to buy another plan. Neither option guarantees reception inside a particular gallery or avoids a crowded network.

Use the travel data calculator for the whole trip. Check phone compatibility and installation timing before buying, rather than attempting setup while a queue moves.
