Sompo offers a free 1GB Eskimo eSIM with code ROAM01

Sompo Insurance Singapore is offering eligible buyers of a new Single Trip or Annual travel policy a complimentary 1GB Eskimo Global eSIM voucher. The offer runs through October 31, 2026 and requires campaign code ROAM01 during the insurance application.

The policyholder receives the gift, with a maximum of one redemption per person regardless of how many qualifying policies or emails they have. This is a policy-linked promotion, not a public Eskimo code anyone can use.

The traveler answer: enter ROAM01 before completing an eligible Sompo website purchase and check that the policy is issued by October 31. The 1GB gift is useful for light arrival data. Roaming eSIM is the better direct option when you need a larger allowance, a specific validity or a plan that is not tied to insurance eligibility.

Who qualifies for the Sompo eSIM voucher

The promotion applies to a new Sompo Single Trip or Annual travel insurance policy bought through Sompo's corporate website. The code must be entered in the campaign-code field, and the policy must be successfully issued during the promotion period.

Sompo's product eligibility also matters. The live page says the insured must live in Singapore, hold a valid Singapore identification document, start and end the trip in Singapore, pay the premium and buy before leaving. The policy coverage date must start before departure.

Those insurance conditions make the offer unsuitable for a visitor already overseas or someone whose trip does not begin and end in Singapore. The free data does not override the policy rules.

ROAM01 must be entered during the application

Sompo's terms specifically require ROAM01 at the time of application. A qualifying policy bought without the code is not established as eligible for a retroactive gift.

Before paying:

1. confirm that the policy itself fits the travelers and destination;
2. enter ROAM01 in the campaign-code field;
3. verify that the code remains recorded in the final review;
4. complete payment before October 31; and
5. save the policy issuance confirmation.

The sale and the issuance both need to fall within the campaign period. Starting an application before the deadline is not enough if the qualifying policy is not successfully issued in time.

The redemption email should arrive within one day

Sompo says it sends the gift email within one day of the qualifying policy's issuance to the address used in the application. The message contains the redemption instructions and its own deadline.

Check junk mail and confirm that the policyholder's email is correct. The voucher must be redeemed within the timeframe shown in that email. Missing the redemption deadline forfeits the benefit, with no extension or cash replacement promised.

The profile also requires an eSIM-compatible device. Compatibility should be checked before choosing the promotion as part of the purchase value. An incompatible or carrier-locked phone does not become usable because the policy qualified.

One policyholder can redeem only one gift

The one-person limit is broader than one code per policy. Sompo says the eligible person may redeem a maximum of one promotional gift even if several qualifying policies are purchased or several redemption emails arrive.

The eligible person is the policyholder. A family policy does not automatically establish one Eskimo voucher for each insured traveler. If several phones need data, plan those connections separately.

The gift cannot be exchanged for cash or another benefit, and its validity cannot be extended. Sompo can also replace it with an item of similar value or amend the promotion, so the current terms should be saved with the policy record.

What 1GB of global data can cover

One gigabyte is generally enough for messaging, map searches, email, ride bookings and modest browsing when automatic downloads are controlled. It is a poor match for regular video, cloud photo backup or laptop tethering.

The word "Global" describes the Eskimo product family, not a guarantee that every territory is included. Confirm the destination list, activation trigger and data validity during redemption. Check hotspot use, calls, SMS, local-number availability and add-data options in Eskimo's current product terms rather than assuming they follow from Sompo's headline.

Download maps, boarding passes, hotel details and translation packs over Wi-Fi. That preserves the included gigabyte for live navigation and messages after arrival.

The eSIM offer is separate from Sompo's insurance discount dates

Sompo's live page lists other September and October pricing campaigns, including separate date ranges for Single Trip and Annual discounts. Those windows are not the eSIM deadline.

The Eskimo promotion has its own scheduled end of October 31. A policy can meet a pricing campaign and fail the eSIM terms if ROAM01 was not entered, the policy was not new, the purchase channel was wrong or the one-person gift limit was already used.

Choose insurance by the cover, exclusions, claim conditions and total premium. A 1GB data gift should not outweigh a policy mismatch.
