Yesim becomes IFA 2026 connectivity partner in Berlin
Yesim has been named the official connectivity partner of IFA 2026, which runs at Messe Berlin from September 4 to 8. The company says international visitors will be offered dedicated connectivity options for the show, while exhibitors can use services intended for teams.
The partnership is confirmed by Yesim's September 1 announcement and IFA's partner directory. What is not public is just as important: neither page gives the offer's data allowance, price, redemption route, local networks, hotspot terms or fair-use threshold.
The traveler answer: IFA visitors now have an event-linked eSIM option, but the partnership badge is not enough to choose a plan. Check the final allowance, validity, activation point, networks and hotspot rule before paying. The service supplies mobile data; it does not include an IFA ticket, Berlin transport or guaranteed reception inside every hall.
What Yesim and IFA have announced
Yesim describes the arrangement as an official connectivity partnership for IFA 2026. It says dedicated offers will be available to international participants during the exhibition, with a separate business use case for organizations coordinating data for several travelers.
IFA lists Yesim in its official partner directory and places the company at Hall 13, stand H13-103. The show opens to trade visitors from September 4, while ordinary private visitors can enter from noon that Friday and from 10:00 on the remaining days.
The announcement does not say that every ticket holder receives free data or that connectivity is bundled automatically with admission. It also does not publish a code, claim link or eligibility rule. Visitors should use only a route linked by IFA or Yesim and read the final checkout before treating the offer as a saving.

Yesim reports 510 TB of Germany usage in seven months
Alongside the partnership, Yesim reported that its customers used more than 510 terabytes of mobile data in Germany from January through July 2026. The company says that was 2.6 times the amount used in the same seven months of 2025.
Those are provider-reported totals, not an independent measurement of German network speed, coverage or IFA demand. They show growth in data consumed through Yesim, but they do not reveal how many travelers generated it, which packages they bought or how performance varied by location.
Yesim also says Germany is among its ten most popular destinations by purchases and revenue. It identifies Poland, Switzerland, Romania and the United States as the largest origin groups among international visitors connecting in Germany through its service. These figures help explain the partnership, but they should not be read as a ranking of all visitors to Germany.
The event offer still needs plan-level details
An event partnership can make an eSIM easier to discover. It does not remove the normal buying checks. Before accepting the IFA offer, look for:
- the exact data allowance and number of valid days;
- when validity starts and how long the purchase can wait before activation;
- the German networks available to the selected package;
- whether hotspot use is allowed;
- the daily high-speed allowance and reduced speed on an unlimited option;
- whether calls, SMS or a phone number are included;
- the refund route if the profile cannot connect; and
- whether the offer is limited to ticket holders, first-time customers or one order.
Yesim's public Berlin page currently presents data-only prepaid and unlimited choices. It says plan validity begins when the eSIM connects to a compatible network, activation is available within 180 days of purchase, top-up is available and hotspot support depends on the operator. Those are general Berlin product fields, not confirmed terms for the dedicated IFA offer.
An eSIM helps outside the venue Wi-Fi footprint
IFA lists free Wi-Fi at Messe Berlin. That is useful inside the venue, but it does not cover the journey from BER Airport, a hotel, a restaurant or an evening event. Mobile data can keep the IFA app, BVG routes, airline messages and maps available between those places.
Crowded halls can also produce variable performance on both Wi-Fi and cellular networks. No provider can guarantee a particular indoor speed at a stand. Save the admission ticket, venue map, first entrance, meeting details and return route offline even when an eSIM is installed.
A travel eSIM is often data-only. Keep the usual SIM enabled for its number if bank codes or ordinary calls matter, but prevent it from becoming the mobile-data line and check the home carrier's roaming charges. Yesim or Roaming eSIM for an IFA trip
Yesim has the direct event relationship and may provide a useful participant offer. Its announcement does not yet publish enough plan-level information to compare that offer on price, allowance or fair use.
Roaming eSIM's public Germany catalog returned 17 packages on September 3. The live records expose retail price, allowance, validity, speed label, supported local operators and top-up status. For example, the catalog listed 1 GB for 7 days at USD 1.14, 3 GB for 15 days at USD 3.00, 5 GB for 30 days at USD 4.76 and 10 GB for 30 days at USD 8.56. All four listed o2 and Vodafone with 5G and supported top-up when checked.
🏆 Roaming eSIM wins for a plan-level comparison: travelers can inspect current Germany package fields before checkout instead of relying on the status of an event partnership. Yesim may win if its final IFA offer is cheaper or adds a benefit the traveler needs, but those terms must be visible first.
Prices and availability can change, and the selected card remains the source of truth. Roaming eSIM provides a public 24/7 support route, but it cannot supply an IFA ticket, Berlin fare, local phone number or guaranteed indoor capacity unless the selected product explicitly includes it.
Four Roaming eSIM routes for IFA visitors
Start with a Germany Roaming eSIM when Berlin is the only destination. Compare a Europe Roaming eSIM if the same trip continues across borders, but confirm that every country appears in the selected package.
